Yeah, I know, I personally don't expect the gap to be over 3 minutes, but probably around 2:30-2:40, but we shall see tomorrow

2011 Dauphine and 2009 Tour both Hilly ITT's, Wiggins banged them both decently
I didn't mean that Wiggo would lose time there because it's hilly, I meant that Nibali could save time there, because of the downhills(No, that's not the same!)

Nibali's loss could be anywhere from less than a minute to three plus, I reckon. Between his crash, Wiggins' crash and a technical parcours, it could really go any way.
I think as long as Wiggins isn't suffering too much from the crash, he'll take somewhere between two and three minutes. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's in pink after tomorrow. Only threat to that is Intxausti, imo. The other favourites should really watch him.

How big of a chance you guys give me to get this bet in? Kessiakoff to beat Siutsou, Intxausti to beat Gesink, Ludvigsson to beat Christensen, Gretsch to beat Durbridge and Danielson to beat Machado. Feel pretty confident except for Kessiakoffs form and not too sure about Gretsch v Durbridge, but Gretsch has shown some form and i feel like Durbridge is more of a prologue guy, am i wrong in thinking that? |

Yes, I see that happening.

Yes, I see that happening
Intxausti to beat Gesink
Hard for me. 50/50. Intxausti is pretty good at TT, but I can see Gesink doing well as well.
Gretsch to beat Durbridge
I don't see this happening. Durbridge is more of a prologue guy, but is fairly good at longer ones as well.
Danielson to beat Machado
Yes, I see that happening.

I'd probably advice against Gretsch too, looking through their recent results Durbridge seems to be in better form ( but in the end it's your call )
I support the Intxausti over Gesink bet more, about 60/40 for me.
Edit: I'd also think a bit about the Kessiakoff bet if I were you, too. He has shown horrible form so far, whereas Sky is known to teach their riders how to TT quite well. ( I'm not saying he will beat Kessiakoff, but it's worth considering )

Gretsch is there because he has good odds, need someone to bring the odds up I still think he has a decent shot at beating Durbridge on a long kinda hilly TT, even if he wont be the favourite between the 2
And yeah, Kessiakoffs form is a worry, but i still trust him

This topic is getting too big. Any chance we can get another one for week 2?

honestly I don't see why there needs to be multiple threads for a GT, most of these kind of threads are mostly just quick comments about the race which doesn't make a lot of sense if you're reading it back

Brailsford says Wiggins is fine, no injuries. Meanwhile Nibali says he hurt his hip in the 2nd fall
Seems to me that it's likely Wiggins loses the Giro tomorrow

Yessir.
Says the first crash was at high speed but he wasn't hurt. Second crash was a slow speed but hurt his hip.

Must've missed that then. Sucks for him, obviously.
I guess that explains why he suddenly disappeared from the front of the favourite group on the way down from the final climb. I hope he's okay.

Meawhile Hesjadel lurks...
Remind anyone of last May?
To a lesser extent, not to mention Evans if he still has the capacity to TT like it's 2011... |

Also looking back at the Wiggins fall he finished in the same group as when he went down so as mentioned above (and not fully realised by myself at the time) he was dropped on what must have been the last unclassified climb before that?
Today didn't suit him but I would expect him to make a 20+ group of favs and others. Been a few signs of weakness now, to be confirmed or erased tomorrow.
Also one last time...HANSEN!!! |

It was a very hard stage 7, let's see how Wiggo take advantage of tomorrow's ITT. I'll pick him for a win.

I don't think Wiggins will be strong enough to win the stage though.

Then who? It's really a weird TT, very technical in the first half, then a massive climb at the end. All in all it's still "flat".

We've done 1 week per thread for the last few years. You haven't seen TDF threads on here I guess, you joined right then, but we do one thread per day, and it's still flooded.
