To be fair he's had lots of issues. He was about a minute down at the time check. Then his chain broke/dropped and he had to switch off his road bike onto a TT bike for the rest of the climb, which puts him at a big disadvantage.
There seemed to be several bicycles on top of the team car. But you might be right.
If that is the case, then that is what you gamble when you try to gain time by switching bikes and letting a mechanic push you uphill. Imagine if it had happened to one of the top-GC riders.
The problem is, the others were starting on the TT and switching to a road. Ryder wasn't going to switch bikes at all and then he had problems with his road and had to switch to a TT. The actual bike change wasn't what likely ruined his day it was being forced to switch to an inferior bike.
From what i saw he switched to another road bike. |

Don't get your panties in a bunch. All I ment was that about half this thread is filled with posts concerning that stage. There is nothing that can come out of arguing further.
As i mentioned before, when someone brings it up again and make it seem like Quintana is a worthy winner, i am going to respond to it.
So lets cancel TdF stages..and give Froome a second title?
Yes surely as you say, sir!! |

I really hope that this result was caused by Majka's stomach ache, otherwise I am pretty concerned for his Top 6 even!

Aru can't pace himself, so I doubt that he will do better than Pozzovivo who on the opposite is one of the best in keeping good pace while riding alone.
I wonder how much time he would have won, if he would have been able to pace himself.
I admit that I made a huge mistake, it's just that he rides without having steady pace and always looks really stressed on bike. He just made impression of being more of a peloton climber rather than a guy who can ride alone for big chunk of time. But hey, if it works, it works.
Again, taking my hat of to him. |

Its called respect. Something you've been claiming the riders aren't doing enough of. How about you do it yourself.
Think you need to go back and perhaps clean your glasses.

Majka did a pretty decent TT , its just hard when Aru, Quintana and Uran are so much better. |

Ehmm, eh? So are you really telling me not to state my opinion on a forum or did you just fall out of the bed and are still a bit hazy?
Everybody is tired of this discussion by now, it was talked about for the last days enough. If you want to express your opinion on it, go ahead. But if you want to have a discussion, build yourself a time machine.
Right, so when someone brings it up i should of course not respond on a forum.....
Also where is the admin or moderator sign next to your name? because i dont see any and you seem to think i should give a shit about what you or cactus-jack think about what i can or cannot do.
If anyone just got out of bed, I think it might be you. Understand that the discussion regarding that stage is long over and it would seem that the majority sides with Quintana in that he isn't the one to blame.
And I don't even think Uran considers himself the "moral winner".
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

As I expected it seems Quintana got the times of Aru and waited for the last kms to push and take the win.
I accept the cycling sport but this performances day after day are making me scared again like the last years Tour. |

I think he sits safely on that 6th spot.
He will suffer greatly tomorrow and lose time to the top 5. But Evans, Kelderman and Hesjedal will suffer even more than him. |

I've had another look and I think it was actually.

I am pretty sure that this is not his real level. I think the stomach ache from yesterday has taken its toll on him, but I am not sure.
Or maybe a complot, so he would lose as much time as possible (still holding on to 5th-6th) that they will let him go on Zoncolan!
No, honestly. I am interested in Lars Micahelsen's report on Tinkoff-Saxo's official website..
Hats off for Aru! What a rider. I like how Bettini gratulated him. Maybe some foreshadowing?

Please... as cactus-jack said, the horse has been flogged so much that it's writhing around on the ground in agony begging for it to stop. We've had a 40-page discussion on this, and all possible permutations, views, opinions and eventualities have been run through, there's no need to keep trying to re-kindle the fire.

Why? ASO and Tour De France is a uber professional run race compared to Giro and something like what happened on Stelvio would most likely never happen in a Tour.
Giro has always been a disaster when it comes to their officials. And this year proves no different. |

I would like to ask everybody to stop spamming this thread, which happens to be about the GIRO, not visual problems, cleaning glasses, TdF or any personal problems you have with another forum member.

lol, jacdk going full retard
The best man is winning the Giro. There isn't much else to say. The Tour next year is going to be great if he is there in top form.
Great ride by Wellens and Henao to be in top 10 on the stage. |

6 W/kg for a 55 minute effort from Aru and Quintana is what I'm reading. |

Yeah I thought Aru would do a good ride but not this this level, kind of like Quintana at last years Tour. It will be interesting to see how he now backs up on the Zoncolan after todays effort.
