I should mention this: a few weeks ago somebody made a photoshop in the CN forum of a bingo card with all of Armstrong's excuses like "I train harder", and "heart as big as a plate!".
He called it "Wiggo's bingo card" and circled all the excuses Wiggins has used this year. All were circled except Armstrong's favorite excuse: "Cadence"
And now Wiggins shows us that he does read the CN forum
https://m.guardian...pe=article
In a brief two paragraph quote, he uses the word "Cadence" 6 times
Funny quincidances.
But hell yeah a lot of parrallels can be drawed to the Armstrong Era. |

Not saying I know anything, but anyone that argues Lance did something wrong, has to also start arguing that there is something going on at team Sky.
Pay closely attention to these observations.

Except that it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Look at athletics; the winner immediately goes off on a lap of honour whilst the others often slump to the floor. Often that's due to disappointment, not because it was harder for them than for the winner. |

Maybe Team Sky needs to hire a good acting director to encourage and direct Zroom and Wiggins to show adequate levels of exhaustion following races?
It was eleven more than necessary.

Very good point and another good observation Schleck96.
@Solano , no one can argue against that T.Martin, Cancellara, Phinney and Co. all are top notch athlete. They all have extreme conditioning and physics. They belong to the elite. It is very very suspicious and eye-brows raising that the only riders not being totally crushed are the Sky riders.
So it does look suspicious that everybody is completely dead, and still are being crushed by Team Sky. |

Got to say, brads looked like he put in massive effort to me
I think that Solano made an excellent point, and is relevent.
Froome did not win, but his team mate did, and that creates happyness.

Well, Froome has never seemed entirely at ease with Wiggins... |

Yes you do need to say more, Cancellara crashed in the RR and messed up his shoulder, This was one of the longest TT's Phinney has ever done and Martin has been carrying various injures most of the year.
I'm not saying Sky dont dope, just try to get the facts right first before assuming anything. |

How obsene is this quote from the newest Sports Illustrated in an article about Lance Armstrong (They finally decide to move against him).
"Last month's Tour de France victory by Bradley Wiggins, long outspoken critic of of dopers in his sport, very much had the feel of triumph for clean cycling, as well."

Not as obscene as:
Per me questa medaglia è la rivincita del ciclismo pulito. Spero di essere un esempio per tutti i giovani, dimostro che si ottengono risultati con il sacrificio e con tanto allenamento e non con il doping
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
For me this medal is a revenge of clean cycling. I hope to be an example for the youth, I show that you can get results with sacrifice and training, and not with doping

"Rebellin can't be doping because he speaks so much against doping. That I'm sure of."

When US postal (I'm in need of a history lesson) where around where they always strong at every race. Because Sky (well Froome) are looking abit fried at the moment and they weren't that good at the classics, I remember watching Cavendish being fried in the MSR. Is this mitigation, that they only massively dominated the tour and a few warm up races. (Cadel Evans won the Adriatico and 2nd in the Dauphine). |

It's funny that Froome looks absolutely wasted, yet his power output until now matches his Tour performance on 25 minute climbs (Peyresourde twice in the TdF vs Gallina and Ancares in the Vuelta). He didn't get weaker, his rivals are simply stronger than the best climbers in the Tour |

no, last year sky didnt dominate any race...
USPostal hardly dominated every race. Dont forget there was not ProTour back then so they just raced easier races, and those specific to TDF warm up
If Sky could pick and choose all races, we would see similar
In fact that goes for all top WT teams (BMC, Katusha etc.)

Seems Twitter links don't work, but this quote illustrates quite well :

Actually is there someone on believable level of performance? I think it is Conta, who looks maybe even bit worse than he was few years back (same style, just not so effective). Meanwhile Purito, Valverde and Froome are riding like the aliens, compared to their history (well Valverde matches the hstory, the dirty one).
