Hypothetical interpretations are not your specialty. My point stays firm. If I kill a baby, how is it different from abortion? How is killing a newborn different from killing a baby in the whom? That's like saying it's okay to kill a 5 year old but not a six year old.
Here's an embryo at 8 weeks:
It'a not a baby. It's not a child, it's not a human. It's an embryo, that can't support itself outside the womb, a collection of cells that could potentially become human.
I know your opinion probably won't change no matter what arguments we here make. But, if you could, I'd like you to, just for one second, consider this: are you so absolutely sure that you're right, that your opinion is so completely correct, that you have the moral authority to ram your opinion down other's throats?

Edit: I agree with sweatyviking. If the mother could die or was raped, fine. But not by choice. Back to my point that if you wanna find a loophole to kill babies, fine. But I'm not paying for it.
In my opinion, abortion is your "loophole" for rationalising why national healthcare is bad. There are many more valid reasons as to why its better for everyone as a whole, but you have picked just about the worst option. It covers much much more than abortion...
There are less privileged people in America that deserve heatlhcare but they dont get it.
A diabetic person not on healthcare would be pretty much broke. (I had a rough memory of a documentary) They dont deserve that.
Basically I dont mind paying for peoples abortions if Im also paying to save peoples lives or make them easier.
Edit: I agree with Crommy, I was going to make that point, but I didn't want to get my facts wrong.

The teenagers aren't responsable for it? And you forgot people who don't want children but are stubborn. We have plenty of those here. Some woman have like 5 abortions and nobdy seems to care.

Are people arguing over abortion or death penalty? I'm confused now Aren't we talking about SweatyViking's girlfriend ? I'm even more confused.
I thought SweatyViking was sentenced to death penalty because he raped her and she had to go through an abortion. Or maybe I'm getting things mixed up ? |

That's exactly what the govt is doing! And what about late term abortions? They take a 6-7 month aby and throw it in the garbage!

Could you really name or find women who have had 5 abortions ? Seriously ?
How many or those are there ? 5 in the whole country ?
Frankly, it's not a walk in the park, ask anybody who's had that or knows somebody who's had an abortion. It's painful and humiliating. |

And more to Crommy. Once again, if I got in a car crash with a pregnant woman, even if it's her fault, and that isn't a human, it's man slaughter on my part.

The US government gives women the right to choose for themselves. That's actually quite a Republican idea, the lack of state intervention.

It's not. It's called foeticide, or foetal homicide.
EDIT:
even if it's her fault
If you think that's the case, you have a very, very poor understanding of murder/manslaughter laws

That's meausred in 1000's.
Homicide? Even better! So why don't I get the choice to kill babies?
My Last response edit: You'd be surprised what things get through Court here despite the laws.
And maybe I have morals. I don't always have to be a hardcore Republican. I have views. But I'm just going to argue more because everyone is always against me in these debates, so I better stop this discussion now.

You'll be relieved to learn that the Affordable Care Act doesn't make you pay for abortions then.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services,
"Under the new health care law, federal funds continue not to be used for abortion services, except those in cases of rape or incest or where the life of the woman is endangered," she said. "No one will be required to choose a plan that covers these services and no taxpayer dollars will be spent on them. Before choosing a health plan, consumers will know whether the plan covers these services. And if it does, payments will be made into a separate account to ensure no federal dollars fund these services."
