Markson and Goldenberg are in and also some interesting backgrounds for the two talents from America.
Poor Power getting some competition this season! |

if it's okay with you I've changed Ferdi's name to Ferdi Kloet rather than Ferdi de Kloet, just because it's weird to have the same sound twice, I can change it back if you want though.
I really want to call him Ferdi Kübler... |

For those riders looking for some preset tactics to fill in, instead of coming up with tactics themselves all the time, here are they. I will put them on the first page of the Game Thread, where you can always find them to use them.
Follow closely: Make someone nervous by staying on his wheel as closely as you can. Enter name here.
Follow when attack: Enter name(s) here. Who do you always follow?
Passive/Aggressive riding: Enter number from 1 - 10. 1 being extremely passive, 10 being extremely aggressive.
Start: Fast or Patient.
Allies/Team mates: Will you ride behind team mates? Are there other riders you don't want to ride against, rather work with?
Other: Anything else? Attack at a specific time? Make a special move? Work for the team leader?

No problem.
Ferdi Kübler, love that guy
So instantaneously, my love for Ferdi Kloet has grown, too |

Some interesting players. Markson and Goldberg should provide some class A racing from and especially in the states. Milan is one scary strong 18 year old and that's coming from the guy who plays Vague. Guess Guido was right with the doping Also nice to get some more dutch riders in here thumb sup

Same, he's my favourite cyclist who hasn't been racing recently and he challenges for the top spot including them. Although Ferdi Kloet is the opposite sort of rider (sprinter), although I might make his personality a little based off him , when I decided on Ferdi though, I searched up a list of Dutch names and went straight to 'K'.
Have you ever heard his 'conversations' with Gemineni?
Spoiler "Ferdi attack now, France ready?"
"Ferdi shut up or Ferdi get head punched in now."
Ferdi begins Mont Ventoux at a sprint, Gemineni comes up alongside him,
"Slow down, The Ventoux isn't like other climbs,"
"Ferdi isn't like other champions, Ferdi win at Avignon."
10km later he was swerving over the road.
Now I want to change my avatar to him , but I always change it far too often... |

Hehe. Reminds me of Federico Bahamontes, who also talked about himself in third person in English |

I know I am really inactive, but congratulations on finishing the first season. Kimi Hakinnen and Mario Guido will not be returning, as I always lacked time to write about them and the limited spots should go to other riders. I would like to stay in with Rudy Verboven, but I can understand if you want that spot to go to someone more active as well.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Ahhhhh, the sign ups!!!
Hope that you/we'll manage to captivate some other players rather than the usual ones.
I'll stick with Matt and won't create any other players, I'll just hope that an active player will claim either Lorenzi or Vieto (or create another Italian?) because I feel like Matt will miss his only teammate during the next season
@jandal, that Listerijn has to be decreased, come on
Although Kloet looks very interesting @trek, will be nice to see him in action, because he looks to be a threat in the flat classics.
Liking the idea of the tactics presets, each time I want to write something it either looks clueless or repetitive

Well, it's been fun to write up. Enjoy the Football match!
This 100% concludes the season. I can see jandal7 making another review, but there's nothing else coming on my behalf, the season is over. You can, of course, post a nice review from your rider's perspective if you want.
Small break now from me Will be back soon with new season announcements! |

Mazzarelli for MOTM
Ahh very fun report Ian, I loved it, you've got a huge talent for writing
Also that Scope edition was very interesting, nice to see that Mazzarelli didn't go below than the 6th position in all the rankings, well besides the wins ranking

Mazzarelli was consistent all right. But only 1 win, that can't be enough for him
Though Kwaremont is quite a win
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the football report! It was something different to write this time |

What a great way to wrap up the season, very fun read.
Surprised that Vague seemed to be quite decent. But I guess that's his all-consuming hunger to win everything.

Change Milan's Birthday to 9/2/1997, turning 19 partway through the season. He is strong, but that's at the expense of Lachy & Ronnie, in varying degrees.
Loved the football report, but my riders did nothing except one awesome cross (Haha Cross. Geddit? Not intended) from Ronnie.
I'd probably prefer Urnschriber to Bennett though, so my priorities to keep in are:
Listerijn
Bauer
Hira
Urnschriber
Bennett
Archigyrakios
As for new ideas:
1. Not sure, nice idea but agree on the point of new players, it's up to you, just keep the varying degrees of nationality and you could do it.
2. Like it
3. Yes, like it again
4. Intrigued
5. Useful, I may not use it but I'm sure it will prove good
NOW COME ON PEOPLE SIGN UP RIGHT NOW!
EDIT: Matt I was going to mention the wind count when I read the first bit but then you said it

Jesus, this is on a break for one day and I'm already getting bored/missing it.
Hope to see some new names sign-up in the next week, though! |

Awaiting jandal7's nominations so we can vote for the cxreports.com awards, I have a few personal awards to hand out:
Award | Winner | Rider of the Year | Dries Cornelis | Head Count | Francis N. Vague | Most Aggressive Rider | Hafthor Eldfjallsson | Most Unlucky Rider | Matt Mazzarelli | Personality of the Year | Elliot Cook |
Worth noticing that Dries Cornelis finished every single cross this season. More than that, he was only outside the top 10 four times and never outside the top 20!
Special Thanks: And a special thanks, of course, to my regular posters, in no particular order: Shonak, Smowz, jandal7, matt17br, trekbmc, TheManxMissile, SportingNonsense, Selwink. |

Lovely post from the Cookie Monster. Actually a real nice overview of the upcoming generation in this cyclo-cross. Might be a perfect introduction post to new players, as well |
