Three riders have formed at the head of the race following he first climb of the day, they are Mata/SEP, Rathe/CSC and Zitta/RBM and currently they have a lead of 2m 37s

They are setting a nice rhythm together and have increased there advantage to 4m 39s

The peleton are not too bothered about chasing at the moment as the rain decides to fall

Despite the conditions our trio persist with there breakaway

Race radio comfirm the lead at exactly 6m

Zitta/RBM has punctured and is going to have to chase hard to rejoin his companions

The threesome are back together

Magners riders are beginning to gather at the front of the peleton

Riders are beginning to lose contact as the race goes up yet another climb

Four riders have broken clear of the peleton and are chasing down the three leaders up the road, they are Pate/DOM, Busche/IOQ, Sorensen/TCS and Suarez/AGT

The chasers are within touching distance

The lead group is about to become seven strong

As we approach the last twenty kilometres the lead is 2m 36s back to the pack

Race Leader Goss/PGR is near the front of the pack, but how long can he stay there

Busche/IOQ has decided to give it one last dig as the race looks like it's coming back together

A group of twelve riders reach the red kite with a slight advantage on the rest

And it's Efimkin/PER who claims the stage win

Four riders have a lead of 1m 8s, they are Hernandez/CSC, Bookwalter/IOQ, Downey/BAR and Moore/TCW

Dabrowski/AXA is chasing at 17s

He made contact with the front group who now have a lead of 59s

The lead has gone out to 1m 41s

3m 46s was the gap at the last time check

The peleton are taking it easy for now

60kilometres to go and the Leaders are still looking pretty comfortable

The lead has come down to 3m 32s

CCC and BUL are sharing the chasing duties at the front of the peleton

The lead is down to 2m 14s and the hard working pack can now be seen in the background

As they approach the twenty kilometre to go banner the peleton has cut another chunk of there lead away and is closing in fast

The peleton have got them back to under thirty seconds

Velits/MAG has gone clear on the downhill section and is being chased by a group of five riders with the peleton a further 28s back

All six have come back together on the descent and it includes Pineau/TCS, Van Nierkerk/TCW, Gerdermann/RBM, Ignatenko/AGT, Velits/MAG and former race leader Goss/PGR

And it's Goss who snatches his second stage of the race

Three rider have formed an early break right from the start and they are Brutt/IOQ, Craven/BAR and Clarke/AXA

They were soon joined by Milne/CSC

The four are building up a good advantage, which at the moment stands at 4m 48s

The peleton are just not interested in a chase at the moment and are quite content to let the four riders have there day in front of the cameras

The lead is now over seven minutes

The crowds shout encouragement from the sides of the road

With the lead now at 8m 44s, Brutt/IOQ is the provisional leader of the race on the road

Race radio is reporting that the lead is now over ten minutes and still there is no reaction from the main field

The four leaders continue with the fast pace despite the heat

The gradient begins to rise as the riders head to the steepest part of today's stage

PER have now come to the front to see if they can try to reduce the arrears

For the first time today the lead has been reduced, it now stands at 9m 11s

Another minute has come off the lead, but have the peleton left it too late

The final uphill section of the day and after this it is all downhill to the finish

With twenty kilometres to go and 5m 21s back to the peleton, the winner must surely come from these four riders

Clarke/AXA has decided to go it alone

His fellow escapees are battling hard to bring him back

They catch him at the red kite, now who has the energy left to win the sprint
