Joining the others, big congrats to D2B on that record win by Haller! Would've loved to see (and report) it last year already, but good to see he's finally done it! As cunego said, it really feels right that it's a Kraftwerk rider - and Haller in particular - who has this record now!
Well, he doesn't own it yet, as he has to share it with Pellizotti, who won 12 stages in the first ToA edition (indeed, that could happen in some earlier PCM editions!). Let's see if he can make use of one of the two remaining opportunities to get #13 and be alone at the top
But he does already hold another record now: He's the first rider to have won at least one stage in 5 editions of ToA (2018, 2020-2023) - which is a great achievement and also kind of shows Kraftwerk's commitment to ToA! Congrats on that one as well! (btw, Stetina and Berhane won stages in 4 ToA editions, sharing the record with Haller until today...)

What does a man have to do to get himself a GT stage win for gods sake xd. Reis certainly deserves one at this point but Eastman is just so overpowered. Congrats to Glanbia, they certainly deserve it. Thank you for another great report Ladrik!

Fairly expected result, Hopefully 3'32 is enough gap and would be good if McNulty can repeat his performance on the flat in the final time trial.
Congrats to Mac, Eastman a deserved winner. But sympathies to Adler, I am going to predict he gets his stage win tomorrow.

Congrats again to Mac! Tomorrow's the day for Gall to secure the polka dots, I really hope he doesn't mind if he's 2nd or 3rd in the U25 rankings (though Imladrik frequently tries to talk him into a fight there ).

Well, actually thinking Eastman might win this thing ...and also starting to realise it probably won't be enough to avoid relegation...
Lovely report, a few nervous moments but Eastman did what needed to be done ..Good luck all for the rest

Wow, what a stage! First of all, I love that Nerz is getting one more day in the spotlight in what are (presumably) his last few days in his signature race. And then the GC fight, damn. 4 seconds. Looking at the first TT, that puts McNulty in pole position, but Eastman didn't have yellow back then and it's a shorter stage, so it's wide open imo.
Incredibly strong day for Powless, too, congrats Mre. Lovely report as always as well!

I'm left here scratching my head how Reis can just flop the ball on so many occasions. Powless needs to ride the TT with on leg tied to his frame for us to even get on the podium. Atleast the ToA finally gets it's American winner. Congrats to the teams involved in the GC fight.

Powless you legend! Burke and Tejada made this win possible (and McNulty's puncture). Tactics and saving energy made all the difference. So proud of the guys, especially because we need everything to go right to avoid relegation right now. Hopefully, Powless saved a little in the tank for the ITT and can challenge for his third win. Can't see him making up three plus minutes but we will happily secure an All-American podium.

Huge win for Zwift here. Eastman must have been on a very poor day. Obviously still the favorite for the GC, but nice to see McNulty make it close. All-American podium looking super likely now.

Congrats Mre on another big win! But what a close GC fight, stage 20 will be thriller. But first there's tomorrow, should be a mass sprint on paper, but maybe the sprinters and their teams are done enough to let the break take the stage, so our goal has to be in there. Maybe Gall showing his nice jersey around once again?

Meh. Fabbro losing 15 minutes that one stage really hurt the team. Hope we can get at least one stage win in the last couple of days... |

Congrats to MRE on a great win, I really thought Powless would fade, I was wrong. Sympathies to D2B and Adler on some underwhelming rides. Also what a race by Lemus Davila. But mainly going to indulge myself in a long McCormick-focused post.
Well, that is another wow. Got in a full range of emotions on that one, the despair of that puncture, to the thrill of the decisive moves at the end, to the frustration of seeing Powles pull away and take the win. Maybe MRE is right the puncture was the difference, but also seems like Zwift should be going in with EKOI on that thank you gift for our work to close down the break.
Recovering McNulty's puncture and then going back to the front of the peloton and delivering him to 2nd on the stage is undoubtedly the finest team moment in our history.
And for the first time I think we might have a real shot to win. McNulty seemed stronger than Eastman in this stage, maybe the many K of better team protection does matter. And McNulty has been better in the flat TTs so far.
Win or lose, I couldn't have asked for a better scenario than a 4-second gap going into a decisive TT against our frenemies at Glanbia.

Thanks Imladrik for another great report! The team just played it perfectly today, getting 4 riders in the break already left a good feeling from the start of the stage, but actually finishing it off with another 1-2 is just incredible. Lammertink was drafted as a breakaway specialist and he was a disappointment so far without any breakaway appearance in the entire season, but saving it all for today was indeed a smart move. Le Gac with a similar breakthrough with us in this race, making it his third podium (also all with a teammate winning the stage). Also kudos to the entire team for getting every rider in a break in this race (and 5 different riders to at least a stage podium).

How about a big party in Montreal after the race? The poutine is on us
That sounded crazy a week ago (and insane two weeks ago), but with San Luis and ToA effectively doubling our points this season we could actually crash right into the promotion race, and there are some more hilly (= suiting) races on the schedule for us.

Wow. Two seconds. Nothing at all separating the two top dogs. Last year it was close already, with 2nd and 3rd 24" and 25" back, still the closest podium. 2018 it was really close for the win, with 8" separating 1st and 2nd. But two seconds? Sounds like a dice roll!
Too early for congrats on the GC, given some random splits we've already seen - and I wouldn't rule out McNulty sprinting for bonus seconds tomorrow. But big congrats to Zwift on yet another Powless win, this ToA should turn out to be a huge booster for the relegation fight!
Thanks for the report, what a nailbiter GC-wise!

Well done from Powless! Three wins and a third place and possibly the points jersey... Pretty good three weeks if you ask me. Add in the Team competition win, Burke 8th, Tejada and Rhim inside the Top 25. Team goal was to win the race but I'll happily take point haul we got here instead.
Two seconds is crazy. Hopefully nothing goes down on Stage 21, unless McNulty decides to sprint for bonus seconds (that's fair). No punctures... Although, McNulty already suffered his. It would only be fair if Eastman had to do the same.

Oof, 2 seconds that hurts. Not a great TT by either Eastman or McNulty I think, The loss to Powless was a lot for 20k.
So many times when that 2 second gap could have been reversed, stage 2 McNulty dropped from first to third by a tire's width. Still if we were going to lose (assuming nothing weird tomorrow), losing to Eastman is the best outcome. An all US podium and the first American winner of the TOA is a nice to see as well.
Thanks for all the great reports Imladrik and congrats to MRE on a stage win.

I’m happy with 5th from Madrazo! Great to see an improvement from the team in this race. Good overall race. Hopefully Perera can finish the race off with a great performance
