It looks like a very interesting setup. I think you have done very well for yourself here! van Bekkum is a really nice rider. Great steal!

On first glance I like this team better than last year.
Zepuntke is gonna be a problem on the CT cobbles

I don't like this transferts. At all.
Happy to see your good deals. I'm looking forward to race against you, though it might become harder to finish ahead...

Those pickups of Zepuntke, Guerreiro, Vanhoucke and Beka are very impressive. Van Bekkum should also be a decent talent for the future. The team has definitely taken a step forward

What's with our "who cares about cobbbles" club? I'm only glad all the points Zepuntke and Beka will get there go to the CT, especially as I'd loved to see the latter with me too!

@SotD: To be honest I deiscovered the real value of Van Bekkum AFTER i sgined him When i made an offer I just thought he might be a good help in the future.
@redordead: I can say now I also like this better than last year. Just need to hope it also pays of better than last year.
@Imladrik: I hope you can finish as high as possible behind my riders Also maybe my whole plan fails again this year and it wont deliver enough points. Anyway best luck for both of us.
@AbhishekLFC: Thanks. I really hope I can finally have a good shot for promotion but the other teams arent sleeping too, so we will need a lot luck. Oh and a more skilled manager when assigning rider to races too
@kandesbunzler26: I switched to the "Cobbles it all that matters club" because you left me here alone in CT . And there is always a new season to try your luck o riders but for sure it wont be a cheap try
---------------------------------
FINAL UPDATE (most likely)
There is still time left but it looks like we are done with transfers. With a high probability there wont be any additions besides the 2 Draftpicks.
So lets introduce our latest additions:
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | XP | Age | Wage | | Jason Osborne | 73 | 59 | 69 | 72 | 71 | 72 | 65 | 65 | 58 | 63 | 75 | 62 | 73 | 68.85 | 3.82 | 30 | 50,000 | | Victor Campenaerts | 70 | 53 | 68 | 77 | 69 | 71 | 70 | 61 | 52 | 63 | 77 | 55 | 77 | 71.76 | 4.100 | 33 | 50,000 | | Pierre-Pascal Keup² | 66 | 62 | 67 | 60 | 64 | 67 | 67 | 58 | 65 | 68 | 64 | 73 | 60 | 67.52 | 1.99 | 23 | 10,000 | | Ole Theiler² | 66 | 57 | 62 | 67 | 66 | 70 | 67 | 59 | 63 | 67 | 65 | 66 | 71 | 65.4 | 1.0 | 22 | 10,000 |
Youth & Experience. Thats what we add finally.
Finally also, we could sign Jason Osborne. He already started his 30s but as a former olympic rower he can still grow as a cyclist. He will already be a huge help on each stages and a nice addition for TTT's too.
Speaking about TTT's we willcome Victor Campenaerts!. We could aquire him in a deal and he hopefully will lead our guys at TTT's and in ITT's. With his experience and skills he should be able to produce good results.
Then we have our 2 Stagiaries for this year: Pierre-Pascal Keup and Ole Theiler. Both regional Talents and with a fair chance to get a "real contract" next year. Keup most likely will be even possible to take the next Step with us already after the season. Theiler has great Potential for shorter Time Trial and hopefully can already show it later this season.

I love the additions, and also like the fee you paid for them! First of all the German part of your team has definitely been strengthened. Juri might be gone, but when his national replacements are Zepuntke, Mager and Osborne, I think you can live with that I really really hope Zepuntke does great for you this season and will be following the CT cobbled races with extra attention for him, and obviously the awesome Beka as well.
Campenaerts is a solid addition to you TT squad, also giving you shirt manager some extra nc work iirc. Also the other Ruben is a nice leader for your hilly department, as he has some nice sprinting skills that always come in handy. In addition with Willy staying that's already some great or at least nice scoring leaders on four terrains, and then planning will decide on Vanhoucke's ability to score as well, because CT stage racing seems to be quite hard this season (at first glance).
Obviously nice that you were able to keep the 2001 talents you already had and who have a nice future, while adding the fun Van Bekkum to that list. The future is bright for Würth MODYF!
A lot depends on other teams of course, but I can see this team joining the fight for the promotion spots surely Let's make it two promotions in a row for (the German) Ruben! (and Beka and Vahoucke!)

Couple more nice additions to boost to the TTT squad. You have done well to rebuild the squad and look forward to see how that translates in the races.

Zepuntke has the potential to put in a dominant performance this season, with the potential to score highly even at the .HC races à la Nikolas Maes back in '19 and '20. Back then this meant he outscored better flandriens like Kasperkiewicz and Van Keirsbulck; I imagine Zepuntke will do even better, given he should be unchallenged on the .2 pavés.
I am also a massive fan of Guerreiro! There shouldn't be any issues with him surviving the longer climbs and he has the ability to finish on the slightly flatter slopes. Even though there are a couple of riders with better speed on the rapid ascents (looking at you, Moscon) I don't think any of them can match Guerreiro's versatility. So long as you can keep him away from riding against the clock I shouldn't be too surprised if Guerreiro emerges as the best puncheur in this year's CT.
Rounding things out are Willwohl and Vanhoucke. I believe (perhaps incorrectly) that the field of sprinters in this year's CT are marginally weaker than that of '23. Although the luck factor cannot be discounted, especially for its ability to gift a rider one massive result, that should mean Willwohl is able to put together a more fulfilling campaign. That said, I'm not seeing anything that might resemble a leadout, so best to hope the field has retained some strength. Vanhoucke is a solid pickup to replace Elosegui and Schelling. He is one of many riders at a similar level who will be fighting to pick up the points left over by Jorgenson and (I think) Carapaz.

@Nemo: Even if i throw a lot of money to you I am very happy I did and hopefully what i got in return will now carry me all the way up! I think Zepuntke has earned himself a season for glory!
@Abhi: Thanks. I am happy I could boost my TT in the end a bit because it look almost miserable before but now i think we can score with this too.
@liefwarrior:I really hope you are right with everything you said I think the same. Especially also Guerreiro I hope we both are right. I am a huge fan of his versatility too and even if his max numbers doesnt look impressive I hope this wont hurt his scoring. Vanhoucke I am glad I got a little Upgrade there but my goal wasnt to score big in his field anyway. So stable and continous points is what i expect.

* - Stagiaire
Like predicted there werent any changes anymore to the existing riders. But we could add a couple more riders.
First we have our 2 stagiaires who will join the fun in August. Here we have the 2 regionals from Germany Theiler and Keup.
Keup was already racing last year and now gets a nother chance at the the end of the season to prove that he belongs here after he finished his studies in the first half of the season.
Theiler is a neo pro coming first time to the MGUCI. He has some potential to be a help in timtrials especially shorter ones like prologues.
With the Draft we could secure then 2 more full time riders. First is Reinhardt, a very experienced sprinter who may be out of his prime. But I am sure he will be a great help to Willwohl and also a great mentor for Stalberg.
Our second addition is Andersen, a talent from denmark. He may not be the one who collect wins himself but helps the captains to achieve their goals.
We will go into the season with this squad. Once again youc an say we turned around everything and shifted our focus again but believe this time it was the best decision. With Ruben & Ruben , Willi and Harm we have 4 great leaders and cover almost all terrain. Especially when the roads get bumpy we believe it will be very hard for any other teams to challenge us.
Before this season our sponsors and partners gave us the freedom to not be limited to a region but in the end our squad looks more regional than ever what will for sure make our sponsors even happier.
We also updated our race calendar at 1st page!

Yeah, have to say we are very scared of Zepuntke this season, but what a smart transfer. If Zepuntke isn't the best transfer of the year, given how impactful he'll be in every race he rides and the HEAVY favorite for 6-8 C2 races, I will be shocked. Am hoping that he actually makes many of these races hard enough to bring my cobble squad away from the better sprinters.
For sprinters, I really like Willwohl. Reinhardt did well last year, but I'm curious how he can do this year. The energy stats bring me pause, especially with how acceleration plays into those.

Come on, Zepuntke. Make me (and Marco) proud. Win races!
Hope the other Ruben does well for you too, and I'm also hoping Beka can gather a decent amount of points as quite a strong CT cobbles domestique. If he can actually play the team game with Zepuntke and perhaps win somewhere himself, that would be even more amazing.

Its all about the Rubens. Zepuntke needs the races to be hard or he will risk getting punked in the sprint, although he isn't a terrible finisher so should still have a shot. Maybe Nareklishvili's role is to make the race hard. Guerreiro could score a lot of points in the punchy stuff with those hybrid stats and his sprint.
You have the nice front end of a TTT team, pity you couldn't find a few more depth pieces to complete it.

Very nice squad with the rebuild. Think you should be moving into promotion contention at the minimum this time. Eagerly waiting to see the exploits of Zepuntke in the CT cobbles

Zepuntke should be a monster this year, and I also like the cheap TT additions you've made as well. Mountains and hills may be a challenge, but I'm curious to see how Guerreiro gets on, he could be an interesting rider depending on how he's planned.
Well done on significantly improving the roster. This is going to be a very competitive CT this year!

Zepuntke and Nareklishvili kinda remind me of the Summerhill and Vanspeybrouck duo that really dominated in PCT one season.
Guerreiro has always been a cool rider, but I don't recall seeing him in a leader role like this. He might be the key to getting into those promotion spots.

Cobbles domination coming up!
If your other leaders like Guerreiro, Vanhoucke and Willwohl can perform on par, you could be in for a promotion battle.
All the best!

I always watch from the sidelines the cobbled races and always I am just an admirer of riders such as Zepuntke. I am certain he'll dominate the CT cobbles this season.
