Well, that was some horrible teamwork. Manfredi should definitely have protected Saggiorato instead of attacking, but I guess PCM isn't smart enough for that. Another disappointing ride by Signorini completes a really bad day - worst day of this race so far. And gone has the enthusiasm about my mountains trio...
At least, Saggiorato was able to save his Top 10 for today, but it's a shame he wasn't able to follow the likes of Mannion, Potocki, Cort Nielsen or especially Brandt.
Congrats nevertheless to Faiers and NENT.

Really nice attempt by Khripta. Only too bad it wasn't enough for a stage win, but 6th place is also a nice result.
Congrats to NENT and huge thanks for all those nice reports.

Wow, Faiers, just wow!
And Atapuma with a strong and unlikely comeback from 17th to top-10, very pleased with that, so he will be spared from wage cuts for now. |

I can't complain with 4th overall. We had a rider in the top 10 in every single stage as well and led the points classification for 50% of the race. Honestly, a job well done!
Congrats Benat for taking charge early in the season! Hopefully we can catch up to him by the end of it! Thanks for the amazing reports as well!!

Congrats Tryg! Looks like that hefty price tag starts to pay off at least somewhat rather early.
(although I don't quite enjoy the thought of you promoting and having a bigger budget next transfers yet )

Not hard enough to create a split and Intxausti not in any kind of trouble anyhow.
Congratz to Zalgiris and Tryg Insurance with the win(s)

Did not expect this race to finish like that! Tibo will a fine sprint to take 2nd place and almost snatch the points jersey. In the Top 3 of all classifications is a great achievement from us and a good haul of points to start the season. Tibo in fine form and hoping takes it into Langkawi where Intxausti won't be present.
Fanastic race to follow and great reporting throughout aquarius.
Well done quadsas on the GC win. Let's see if Tibo can win the next battle with Benat

Two stage wins, Top 3 GC, KoM, U25 and team standings! Guess we're not allowed to complain, great race! Congrats to Quadsas on the GC win.

Great last stage by Thièry, adding a third stage podium for the team.
Overall, I think the result is more or less what we could have actually expected, with Saggiorato on P9 and Manfredi taking P11. I'm just disappointed by Saggiorato's performance after his great 4th place on the first mountain stage. And given the good mountain squad we had, we were hoping for more, so 9th doesn't really sound great.
Two stage podiums by Cissé and one by Thièry is definitely good; we're still waiting for the first win, though. Especially Cissé's performance gives some hope for the next races, seems to have been a good draft pick.
Congrats to the winners, and thanks again for the reports!

Yes! Get in there Magnus! I was hoping to use the hills to make back a bit of time in the GC, but a stage win and 6th overall is still very good for the team. Certainly gives up hope heading into the rest of the season, and as cio said, somewhat justifies the price tag. |

Cool to see Intxausti taking this race. Vinhas on the other hand not so helpful. Hope that changes in the future.

Yep what a race it has been! Hoped Abelouache and/or Mansilla could do well on this stage and we showed great ambition to lead out the sprint, such a shame Mansilla didn't fire and that it wasn't the other way around or Abelouache surely could have won. So close to hanging on but not quite to be, and 4th is a good result to put a few more points on top of a huge race for Signal Iduna

Was pleased with young Osorio's consistency throughout snapping up 4th in the U25 competition including a good BotD appearance mid-race. Perusing the CT rankings table, I was very confused to see him listed as having collected 9 ranking points. Having put my detective cap on, I now understand that in fact rather than 4th in U25, he won that competition and should have worn the jersey for a number of days (hence 9 ranking points), as the imposters listed above him were all 26 y/o!
For an Amateur team, claiming a jersey at the teams race debut is an achievement all involved can be pleased with! .
