Bob Jungels did very well in Dauphine, 2nd only to Chris.
Looks like a hard TDF to come sooo many strong riders as always.

@ Jandal - Indeed, I hadn't noticed but his MO stat went up by one during the race at some point, which obviously must have helped. Yeah, Mas will be going for the Vuelta, so the chance for a double is on!
Bennett has really been good this year, I've noticed. He has 78 MO which is the same as what Fuglsang had, so a GT Top 5 is definitely possible theoretically.
Yeah, it should be a fun Tour with the cobbles, lots of TTs and climbing, although Im a bit worried Jakobsen wont make it to Paris now, so a bit of an oversight on my part 
@ Infernos - Wow, I know Kwait is pretty OP in GTs for whatever reason, so almost listed him as an outsider, but I've never seen him win as the AI (or where you controlling him?) Yeah, Mitchelton are stacked too. Simon will want to get on the podium for sure!
@ kiserlovski - Thanks, Mas' daily form really helped him out in the TT's, I forget which one it was, but he had a +9 in his TT stat for one of them, and the other was probably about +6/7. Thanks, I hope Jungels can do well, he's basically a Dumoulin-lite atm so if he can Top 5 I would be happy.
@ sutty - Lets hope so. Im kind of excited to be a bit more centered towards stage hunting with Alaphilippe!
@ Tamijo - Yeah, the race was weird again, Puncheurs/breakaway guys were in the Top 10 for most of the race. The race was truly only between those two for whatever reason. Martin, Wellens and De Gendt looked like they might beat Jungels at one point.

Mas is in the form of his life after the Giro but Jungels is peaking nicely ahead of the Tour. Strong startlist but I'd say Top 5 should be a good bet for you

Week One Summary
The Prologue was an okay day for us, Jungels managed to not lose too much time, but the cobbled stage was not difficult enough for any major selections to be made, a disappointment for us, as we specifically targeted that stage heading into the race, and felt Jungels would suit it well, but in the end he didn't put time into anyone.
The TTT was just crazy, we felt we had a great ride, but Sky demolished every teams result. Putting 4 minutes into the strongest team in the race is going to be near impossible now, although 2 weeks is a long time!
We ended out the week with some rolling and flat stages, which proved to be difficult for Jakobsen, although we think he's starting to find his form heading into the 2nd week.
We will hope that Alaphilippe will have more stage hunting chances in the next week, and Jungels will have his chance in the mountains.

Wow thats crazy, what SKY is doing. Some nice stats for Mas though.
Oh and about Kwiatkowski winning the Tour. Froome and dumoulin dropped out, and during the cobble stage a huge difference has been made (database 2018). Porte was in the Yellow jersey one time and all the other contenders werent in topform (bardet for example), but during the last timetrial kwiatkowski managed to take it back again. Also dont really understand that he managed to stay with the likes of porte and bardet.
I was just focussing on getting stage wins with Ewan.
Also the starting list of the Vuelta is way better than the Tour. Beside Nibali is riding all three major tours...(he won the giro and is now third behind S.Yates (me) and Valverde). So seems like the AI is doing some weird planning.
Also kwiatkowski is currently leading the UCI standings. |

@ tsmoha - Yeah, I thought about just quitting and simulating, since TTT's give weird results, but all the other teams times seemed fair. Sky just has by far the best TT team and also the best climbing team and the route was hilly.
@ Infernoss - Yeah, he's improved nicely so far! Oh that makes sense, I notice a lot of the AI seem to be in poor form for the GTs for some reason, especially the Giro.
@ Freitas - Yeah, I really couldnt believe it. I think I was 2mins down at the 2nd time check so I was expecting them to fall off a little, but they just extended the winning margin!

Bob is nicely poised top 5 is on for sure, podium be tough possibly. Also what is Remco potential mate or do you not like checking with the editor as he never gets to a good level on mine. |

Yeah, it could be tough, with lots of climbing still to go.
As for Remco, I believe he's got Pot 7, however I dont like looking at the limits, except when it comes to regens, just to make sure they have realistic limits (I've been lowering some regens, as I find even Pot 5 there would be too many good riders.) Im not sure if the world db even uses a new young rider xml file or not, I may need to get new ones tbh.

Week 2 Recap
Opening the week with a 1-2 was great for us. Morkov and Hodeg got clear of the pack in the sprint and were able to hold them off!
The ITT was also a great day for Jungels. He put time into all other GC contenders except for Froome and Thomas which was pretty much to be expected.
Stage 12 was another good stage as Jungels put time into most other GC riders again, except for Nibali, Froome and Thomas, so moving into a good position for the next phase of the race!
Stage 13 was quite a disappointment for Jungels, although the time gaps were a bit disadvantageous, Jungels was simply having a bad day. To make matters Fabio Jakobsen was unable to make it inside the time limit so he will be heading home tonight, a shame, as our main stage hunter, so Morkov and Hodeg will have to pick up the slack on flat stages now.
We ended the week with a flat stage where the breakaway stayed away all day.
Heading into next week, Jungels will want to pay most attention to Porte, Dumoulin and Nibali but they will be favoured to take Jungels GC spot as they are probably better climbers, so it will be a hard fought week for sure!

Final Thoughts
It was the dreaded third week, and in the end Jungels lost his Top 5 spot. Porte was weaker in the Giro, so he must have been building form for the Tour, as he was much stronger here. Froome and Thomas were too strong, and Nibali was Froomes closest real rival. Jungels losing time on Stage 18 was the only real stage he lost significant time. Dropping out of the Top 5 was almost completely due to his finish on that day as most other days his loses were very minimal, to Dumoulin and Porte.
Hodeg also dropped out of the race in the third week, so Morkov was our only sprinter left for the final stage on the Champs Elysees, so a Top 10 there was very satisfying given the circumstances.
Perhaps week long races suit Jungels much better, or perhaps we didn't have enough mountain support for him, so something will need to be addressed in the transfer market. Losing De Plus and Schachmann certainly hurt the climbing squad.
Looking ahead to the Vuelta, Froome has clearly peaked for the Tour, so maybe Mas will have a decent chance at doing the double this year.

Unfortunately Froome and Team Sky were in total control  , but at least you got the stage win on stage 8  |
