A Lot of changes getting closer to the 2018 season obviously based on lack of results.
Very interesting to follow how these changes will turn out seen from a sports angel, new area focus?, serious changes in the squad ? Maybe looking for a less time trail focus?
No matter what just hope to see (lets still call it) Jayco - Cobra9 in PT next season.

Not the best situation for Jayco and its quite understandable that some changes might happen. I hope that you decide to keep your TT focus because TS Moha's team and TTs are such an iconic combination

Certainly some interesting developments occuring at the premium Oceanic based MG team. Here at WCC HQ we still have fingers crossed that our buddies at Jayco - Cobra9 will pull things together in the last couple of months of the season and secure PT status for the 2018 incarnation of the set-up!
Some frustrations this season for you TSM across the season, but keep your chin up .

Thanks for stopping by, guys! It's a tough season and I seriously hate being deep in the relegation fight at this point. Obviously, this was always going to happen once our leaders would fail too often and unfortunately, they did (for different reasons - it's no secret that I can't afford another crash from a leader though). With a change of sponsors to come, we might indeed see a serious cut in the off-season, though I'm not yet sure if we will see a no-TT tsmoha next year I used to like my squad, but there's no sympathy left right now
RACE RESULTS| JULY AND AUGUST 2017
| Tour de France | PTM | HAIG (16) | | Praha - Karlovy Vary - Praha | PT | DURBRIDGE (13) | | GP Moscow | PT | WOHLER (14) | | | | FENG (19) | | | | VANSPEYBROUCK (25) | | Volta a Portugal | PTHC | DYBALL (13) | | East Midlands Cicle Classic | PT | VANSPEYBROUCK (17) |
RACE PREVIEWS | SEPTEMBER 2017
Tour of Ukraine | PTHC | 5 Stages
It's been a while since Jayco managed a Top-10 in a stage race or classic and it's about time for Jack Bobridge to get us another (who's 8th place at LBL was our last Top-10 result - except of two breakaway wins at La Vuelta). His season hasn't been special, to say at least: missing out on three sponsor goals - including two disappointing 6th places at Paris - Nice and the Vuelta a Pais Vasco.
With Jayco dropping down deep into the relegation fight in the meantime, there's not too many races left, where we can finally turn around our luck. And the Tour of Ukraine is definitely one of those key races (yet again). With Pieter Vanspeybrouck also failing in the East Midlands Cicle Classic most recently, the pressure couldn't be much bigger though. At least we have some good memories at this race, where we had a stage-win last year (Wouter Wippert) and Jack Haig (7th in the GC) riding to his strongest GC outing so far.
Beside Bobridge, who hasn't won a single stage/race in 2017, we bring Lahcen Saber for the sprints and Haas, Vanspeybrouck, Phelan, Lowe, Feng and Smith for Bobridge's support. Haas ain't exactly a reliable backup scorer, but we need all those guys to help Bobridge securing a Top-5 at least. Obviously, we would need an even better result though - a podium shouldn't be too unrealistic afterall.
Tour of Northern Europe | PT | 8 Stages
Pieter Vanspeybrouck and Lahcen Saber will also feature our lineup for another key race in September: the ToNE probably won't be our most promising race in the remaining two months, but of course our two leaders should be capable to at least pull a couple of notable stage results and we surely need a proper GC result for Vanspeybrouck as well. We're not asking for a Top-5, but a Top-10/15 has to be the goal nevertheless.
Except of Van der Haar and Feng, we have no more support for the road stages, but brought a few TT horses for the opening stage: Durbridge, Porte, Olman, Hepburn. So with Luke Durbridge we have another 80+ leader in this race and even though we can't expect a succesful TTT here, Durbridge may be in contention for a good result in the ITT on day five. No easy action after some challenging days though.
Rheden GP | PTHC | Classic
Vanspeybrouck and Saber will also be our leaders for our last race in September: the Rheden GP. A race, that has been won by Joeri Stallaert back in 2015 and so it's pretty obvious, that we have some hopes for Saber to survive the race in the main group and sprint to a notable result eventually. It's a tricky decision with two potential leaders, but maybe the luck is on our side this time. Another fail from both Vanspeybrouck and Saber just can't happen.. there's no more room to fail.

Three good opportunities to turn it around with Vanspreybroufk and bobridge as well as lovely wildcard Saber in all three. Lots of support from your Oceanic friends at Xero!

Thanks, jandal! The "lovely wildcard" Saber definitely took his opportunities Bobridge at least didn't fail, so I guess we had a pretty good month eventually!
RACE RESULTS| SEPTEMBER 2017
| Tour of Ukraine | PTHC | BOBRIDGE (4) | | Tour of Northern Europe | PT | SABER (7) | | | | VANSPEYBROUCK (19) | | | | FENG (26) | | Rheden GP | PTHC | SABER (2) | | | | VANSPEYBROUCK (12) |
RACE PREVIEWS | OCTOBER 2017
Copenhagen-Malmo TTT | PT | Team Time Trial
Our history in this event speaks for itself: winner in 2014, winner in 2015 and third in 2016 - it's definitely our goal to make the podium again. It won't be easy with Michael Ford not on the roster anymore, but we're still going with our best possible TTT lineup here:
Durbridge, Hepburn, Olman, Haig, Bobridge, Porte, O'Shea and Oram. As always, daily form should become a big factor, but with our eight riders being equally strong, we do hope, that they will compensate any weakness from one or two single riders.
Lisbon Classic | PTHC | Classic
Another race with quite a good history for Jayco: Matthew Goss sprinted to a 5th and 4th place in the past two editions. With him not riding in our colors anymore, it's up to Lahcen Saber, Pieter Vanspeybrouck or Alex Wohler to get us another Top-10 result in this challenging flat classic.
The latter two as possible options for late attacks and Saber, obviously, our biggest hope for a notable result in a bunch sprint scenario. He's been in some great shape since September and has delivered two great results in the ToNE and Rheden GP most recently. Surely our most valuable rider these days.
Tour of Tasmania | PT | 3 Stages
Speaking of most valuable riders, Jack Bobridge would definitely love to take this role for Jayco in the final month of the season. And it's yet another race with a great history for the team: Bobridge finished 3rd in 2015 and 2nd in 2016 (adding a stage-win and losing the final GC by only one second on Coppel eventually). Our home race has always been a special race since we joined the ProTour, so we definitely would love to repeat the success we had in the past two editions.
Saber for the sprint stage (even though the competition is likely too strong here) and Jack Haig as our second option for the GC. If he survives the hilly stage in one of the first groups, he should be capable to pull a notable result as well. Hepburn as our best TT specialist, who may have a lucky day in the concluding timetrial.
Giro di Lombardia | PTM | Classic
And the season will end in Italy, where we will line up with three of our big guns: Bobridge, Morton and Vanspeybrouck. No bigger hopes for Bobridge to get a big result though: the profile just doesn't suit him. After finishing 27th and 17th in the past two years, his personal goal is a Top-15 result this time.
Morton's stamina and climbing skills may come into play, if he's in shape. With a desastrous Tour de Suisse as his last race though, we shouldn't expect our premium climber to be at this best here. It's more like a proper season ending highlight race for himself, who had his best results in Italy this year (Giro's 3rd place).

Mitchelton - Who we are
The rich history of Mitchelton stretches back to 1836, when explorer Major Thomas Mitchell came across this place during a 900-kilometer journey from Sydney to Melbourne. Over a century later in 1969, the entrepreneurial Ross Shelmerdine planted his first crop of vines here, naming his new winery after the historic figure.
The bottles which were produced, with a focus on Riesling and Shiraz, were soon enjoyed by wine lovers around Australia and were also highly awarded on the world stage. In 1991, Mitchelton won both the Jimmy Watson Trophy for best dry one year old red (the 1990 Print Shiraz) as well as Vineyard of the Year.
As well as its wines, restaurant and Ministry of Chocolate café, Mitchelton also became known as a destination for outdoor concerts in a spectacular setting ‘on the green’. Over the years thousands of audience members have enjoyed music from Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Bryan Adams and many others. The Ryan family’s purchased Mitchelton in 2011, adding to the winery’s offering with the opening of a luxury boutique hotel in 2018 - a perfect year to enter our first name giving sponsorhip with Australia's premium cycling team.

Thanks for stopping by, roturn. Looking forward to those changes as well The most recent TTT triumph may have an impact now, but I won't forget the frustration(s) over the past few months. The team will definitely get a new look - and not only for the shirt!
But first.. time to celebrate:

Thanks, tasta! Can't be too unhappy with another podium in Tasmania, yes. Obviously, a GC win could have been possible with a more selective hilly stage and a better performance in the timetrial. But achieving our sponsor goals was not meant to be this year
Thanks for the kind words on the shirt!

Sexy looking new jersey A bit of an unlucky season with crashes everywhere for Morton, which sucks A nice Giro for him though, and better team results towards the end of the season I guess. Hope to see you guys doing even better next year in the new jersey

Loving the jersey! And here's hoping that Morton can pull a few more top GT performances out for you next season and continue improving alongside Haig.
Was also a pleasure to have Hamilton ride with us for the season! He was relatively active in getting into breaks and should be a solid rider in a few seasons time.

With the departures of Ayubowan! and Pendleton's, I think the Bennelong - Mitchelton kit will be the most striking one of the the 2018 PT season. Or at least, you'll be fighting with Isostar for that title
Just wanted to say commiserations on the harsh luck throughout the year - still, though, progress was made on the development of some, though Jayco won't still around to see it through. Very hasty decision on their part IMO
Also wanted to say thanks to you specifically for all your amazing work on essentially delivering the CT season. Tremendous quality, speed and accuracy found in the reports throughout the year, I have no idea how you have the stamina to keep it up. Looking forward to taking part in more races next year with one of those trademarked tsmoha banners full of kitted out riders. Think we managed one this year, but I was feeling left out of the Vancoucer banner
