Also there are 3 Vueltas, 2 Giros and 1 Tours I designed.
You can look at them here: (PS:La Vuelta v4 isn't complete, only v1, v2 and v3 are. Also v2 and v3 editions of Tour of Turkey aren't complete as well, only v1 is (if anyone's interested))

Nice to hear that it's moving Ian!
I'll likely make the introductory posts for my riders tomorrow but as I'm on holiday, they won't have banners until I get back, is that ok?
I'll suggest one race now, with more to come when I have more time tomorrow as well.
- A race along the coast of Croatia, either from Zadar (more like 350ish km) or Split (more like 250km) to Dabrovnik, the course is reasonably hilly with no real respite and a high chance of crosswinds, there are some very nice hills (tall mountains if you come from one of the flatter countries ) that would spice up the route, especially above the finish in Dabrovnik and the views by the sea are stunning, could also become a technically challenging finale for the tired racers reaching the finish, it shouldn't prove to difficult for the organisers to incorporate a couple cobbled sectors or twisting descents before a finish in the square of the Dobrovnik old town if they wished.

'Win the race' is a tactic that will probably result in your rider puking and quitting the race. Just saying Pfft
How do you feel about the classic "ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK" - guessing it will have the same result?
@Raziz - Wanaka you say

Some Bots for me too Let's bring a little exotic flavor into this:
Name: Yeray Gallego do Prado
Gender: Male
Nationality: Basque
Age: 37
Bio: That classic basque vintage cycling fan that has a go himself. Loves the rain and the steep hills, knows how to handle his bike and how to repair it. Not the biggest of powerhouses though.
Name: Pasali Kolayukbatinov
Gender: Male
Nationality: Turkmenistan
Age: 20
Bio: Son of a Mother from Usbekistand and a father from Turkmenistan, Pasali is the rising star in the regional cycling series (taking place on very different terrain) in the former Sowjet Republic of Turkmenistan. Coming from a poor workers background he's the young David with his old bike he just was able to afford against all the Goliaths on modern bikes. Knows how to loose a race cause cycling in Turkmenistan has less rules than elsewhere on the world, but by doing so he learned how to be a rough (but fair) opponent.
Name: Mateusz Kranitsevski
Gender: Male
Nationality: Poland
Age: 26
Bio: Kranitsevski rode his first bike with 21 and kept running it. His dedication to cycling is big, but he never rode for a club or something. IT-Expert that has a faible for playing around with material.
Name: Ludvig Svendsen
Gender: Male
Nationality: Sweden
Age: 27
Bio: Ludvig is a world-class triathlet. He wants to go to the series just for fun when the dates are fitting him, just tp challenge him or sometimes even use the races for training courses. Special focus lays on energy management, to take over useful data for his triathlon efforts.
Name: Adrian Ndjankonga
Gender: Male
Nationality: Rwanda
Age: 22
Bio: The former project of the World Cycling Center came back to his homecountry in disappointment. The climbing dark horse may have this as his last chance to escape a life as an easy worker for a rich chinese company.
Name: Jolyon Huan
Gender: Male
Nationality: Taiwan
Age: 30
Bio: Influenced by Taiwanese cycling star King Lok-Cheung Merida scouted for a homegrown rider to send to the series. Jolyon rode for the national team at the Tour of Taiwan last year, and takes this series as the next opportunity. Flat specialist with chrono abilities.
Name: Kadjenge Djourou II
Gender: Male
Nationality: Burkina Faso
Age: 21
Bio: Son of a rich warlord. What he has to do with cycling? Rebellion. Sports is the hobby for the extreme athlete with the perfect physical shape. While having the potential to become a dominator of any sports with his god-like athletic, he lacks a tactical mindest and has no clue how to work with his endless ressources. Most likely a climber.

Name: Vincenzo Lombardi
Gender: Male
Nationality: Italy
Age: 22
Most likely a stage racer with good all-round capabilities. Good in one day races too. But lacks the top end climbing. Is a fearless descender and a great bike handler. Never afraidof attacking. Loves the cold, wet and snowy weather.
Name: Richard Murphy
Gender: Male
Nationality: USA
Age: 26
Great time trialer and a huge powerhouse. He is useless when the road goes uphill though.
Name: Akathi Theodorakis
Gender: Female
Nationality: Greece
Age: 22
A rider for classics, mostly Ardennes, but also decent at cobbles. Not afraid of attacking, and a great bike handler.
Name: Matej Molnar
Nationality: Slovakia
Gender: Male
Age: 35
Bio: Lost many Gran Fondos by being too passive even when he is the strongest. He thinks he is God of cycling but only has 2 Gran Fondo wins to his name. He is a strong climber and time trialer but horrible in descends, crosswinds and the races above 6 hours-(let's say 220-230 kms). He is also very bad on short sharp hills and he is horrible in cold, rainy and snowy weather. He is also horrible on cobbles and dirt roads.(sterrato) He loves the heat though. In a 35-40 degree 80-180 km unipuerto mountain stage (It means ______/ ) with no crosswinds on the flat he should smash everyone on the last climb and take the win. Though when a stage has 3 or more climbs above first category he becomes very bad because he is also bad at the multi mountain stages.

This isn't finished or perfect but here's an idea for a quite hilly route in Cumbria: https://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/...1682955986

@Raziz: you're rider is one of the best climbers in the peloton, but he's 177 cm and weighs 78 kg. That's very, very heavy for a climber to be successful |

Note of Season 1: It's nice to see so many participants. Along with the bots, though, these are 40 new characters I/we have to deal with. So the first season is mostly about seeing who is an active participant, who is really interested in playing the game.
So the results in season 1 may vary a bit. Your rider may perform well and then have some lesser results. Just react to these things in a creative way and don't panic
If you feel your rider is really underperforming or overperforming, pm me and we'll figure it out. I have 40 new riders to get to know so that's not so easy to do
From season 2 onwards, it'll be a bit easier. Most active players will be known, best bots will be obvious etc. |

Sorry about the absence of a banner, I'm on holiday and can't reach the link to upload it before I left, I'll include it when I return.
Looking forward to the first race!

Just one simple question, do we send a pm with our tactics for the Comming stage, or do we "indicate" in the game, if yes before the stage or while it is running ?

And we're off
Really like that report Ian, will read again but enjoyable. I guess the scope makes it hard for some of the detail behind to be caught up but I think it will work out well - some more role-play opportunities for sure which I think you'll have known Maybe in the more mountainous/faster/action-packed days some of the gaps similar to CX would be nice I guess but hard to get hold of. I like the format, makes for easy reading and to know where we are on the course.
A surprisingly good race from Millie showing some grit, 2nd best woman I think but that's trivial, more importantly top 20 is a good result when the original aim was surviving. Amana did well and also finished in that 23 minute group to hopefully be ready for some attacks. Congrats to trek (I think ) for Vecker's win, well played against the old dog Vermaelen
Also did I really spell Marian like that

I just finished writing Vecker's introductory post, now I need to rewrite it.
Absolutely amazing for Rudy to take the first UCL win, experience does count, especially with the extreme distance. Could see a nice rivalry (well with Rudy, nice might end up being a generous way to put it ) with Vermeulen brewing too.
Jan doing quite nicely just staying safe, maybe showing some good legs for future stages.
Fantastic report as well Ian, very realistic racing and an exciting finale.

Nice ride by Theodorakis, attacking, the way she wants to race. Not really good by Lombardi. Expected result from Murphy. Molnar
