Giro d'Italia 2017 - Week 1

Great to see Jesper Hansen try something Wink

Flecha on the bike at 1.5km to go of today's stage at a crucial hairpin and his tyres have picked up a whole load of fresh, melting gravel. Hope everyone gets round that corner okay.

This stage died faster then ever. 2 in break and the sprint-teams shot it down after just 2-3 km. Major bossing in the front, so this will be a nice calm a-noon.
Great for an afternoon nap , in waiting for the sprint.

I honestly hope Tommy D wins this Giro to punish all this passiveness so far.

It's been 4 days of 21, there will be action. But as usual the Giro packs big stages into the back end so burning matches now when everyone is fresh is a waste.
Give it time and wait for Blockhaus

Quintana admitted that he didn't feel good yesterday and he was happy not to have lost time. Looks like a missed opportunity for his opponents, as I already see Quintana dominating on the mountains in the third week.

Tight corners suit Ewan who is a hell of a good crit rider but I'm picking Greipel to bag it today

Looks like Gaviria is indeed planning on completing this Giro, given he's the only one bothering to pick up points in the last 2 intermediate sprints. Could just be with wearing a jersey for a bit in mind but seems disproportionate if not planning to complete the race. I guess with Kittel riding the Tour he might as well keep himself busy for an extra week.

Gaviria being young rider and with the final week looking as tough as it does then if he did manage to finish the race then it would be a mighty effort to finish the race

I honestly starting to think that is first Giro or GT you are following.
Do not exsept that riders will eat each other live at first week and first mountain.
