I think when both teams had 11 players England were the better team. Our final ball just kept letting us down. When Portugal went down to 10 men (one of the most ridiculous challenges I've ever seen on a football pitch. Surely he should get some form of suspension despite it being a friendly) it was almost as if England thought the game had been ruined and so they stopped playing.
What they should have done was treated is as practice for if they are in the same situation in the tournament. Changed to 433 straight away and tried to score 2 or 3 goals. It was just a waste of a friendly in the end.
I thought Stirling and Wilshere changed the game when they came on. Milner and Vardy might as well not have been on the pitch for the first 60 mins.
That's the whole problem isn't it with England? No killer instinct and a coach afraid to take tough calls. They're like that coiled spring which never get released, not under Hodgson at least. This squad is quite exciting in my opinion, so this is a real shame.
No one saw last night's Spain result coming though . France do look the strongest to win at home once again.

I 'm now certain that Portugal are serious candidates to the title. Not because of their last 7-0 vs estonia but because of their performance this last 3 games without Ronaldo. We're playing like a real team now with Ronaldo being an addition to the team. Quaresma is in a great form and if the coach let's him play as he wants, he'll do some damage.
Btw, spain were playing with their starters for the opening match. Not good for their confidence.
Call me crazy if you want. |

Holy shit. Some websites reporting De Gea sent home after being accused of rape.

The police has investigated and found no proof to corroborate the accusations made by the protected witness.
/thread.
The story was De Gea arranged some prostitutes from some porn star director to his friend Munian and Isco apparently. I can't see this going much more, unless the girls can somehow prove they were raped, but considering their profession, good luck with that.
P.S. De Gea sent home is not true and I doubt it'll happen.

Going to be at the France vs Switzerland game, hoping to catch Antoine Griezmann scoring a few goals there
Honestly, as a France supporter, England and Portugal are worrying me. Both teams have very limited international success in recent history, but with other giants not looking too great, i'm worried they're going to swoop in a nab the title with how theyve been performing recently
Also lowkey rooting for Wales because if they won that would be absolutely awesome |

Hope Romania wins against France. I still have a scarf from my erasmus time down there, love that country (girls).

Bucharest, many nights spent in Club A and Expirat. It was the only city I could go with the programme. I also visited Vama Veche on 1st may, Constanza, and also Brasov and my favourite Cluj, which reminded me a lot of my home town.

So you weren't in my city. It's not a city for tourists anyway
Great to hear you had a good time. It's good you got the chance to see Brasov and Cluj as well.

I wouldn't have given that.
Purely based on how the rules on high elbow and impeding the goalkeeper are interpreted nowadays.

Could someone please tell me how to pronounce Payet? The German commentator keeps saying Payett, but from what I remember of my school French, shouldn't it be Payé? Crazy goal btw.
