Dege prolly will have to learn to rode in a peloton again without using index finger. Won't be easy for him. Never been a big fan of his but hope he comes back.
The index finger is no longer in danger it seems.
Also it wasn`t the full finger but more the finger tip only. In surgery they successfully rescued it though. |

So it seems like Degenkolb will be back in three months and miss the spring classics. Such a shame that we won't be able to watch one of the very best riders in his element.

As sad as it is for Degenkolb and the team. The spring classics might be more interesting this season than last year where Degenkolb and Kristoff kind of dominated. With Degenkolb out and Kristoff losing Paolini, it will make them more open. |

As a Valv fan I'd like to dislike but that's... a legitimate post that I can't argue with because it's mostly a joke
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

True, true.
Another legitimate argument could be made that i wasnt serious. I really do like Degenkolb and for the sake of the excitement in the spring, the more the merrier. It really sucks for him he cant defend his Roubaix-title. But, as I said, the slight chances of Valverde winning becomes slightly higher. |

I have read that EBH has complained to the team about the jersey

Terrible jersey really
Sad crash for the Shimano team, at least nobody was very seriously injured in the end. British ladies are dangerous as it seems. It will suck to not have Degenkolb in spring classics, but even more than with Valverde, this raises chances for Sagan to win monument significantly.

What's wrong with them, did they realize they overpaid him and now want him to terminate his contract?

Next to Contador's final year, seeing Valverde ride Ronde is probably the thing I look most forward to this cycling season.

I suppose he's not focussing on it? I'd see him get quite far if he'd go for it.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well I certainly hope so he'll be. He's usually in top form this time around (thinking Catalunya last year) and he's the man who peaks all year, and instead of doing his week stage races he'll be down for some cobbelz then with less race days, so he may be more rested for Ardennes and Giro anyway? He certainly shouldn't hold back in Ronde, otherwise there's no reason why he should be there in the first place. Monuments are here to be conquerend and won, not be ridden for some odd top 20.

Oh, he can definitely win. If he's still there at the last Paterberg, I don't think anyone can take it faster than him, maybe GVA.
