So Ovi has said that the Caps will win Game 7....but if the Rangers win it's another year of nothing for him. Not a huge fan of his, but the man's turning 30 soon I believe, maybe only a few more years left in the tank for a solid run...

Guarantees didn't go very far for Ovechkin.
Wow, another thriller. As a Ranger's fan, it was extremely stressful, but the games were insanely good quality of hockey, without a doubt. Everybody was on point for both sides.
We come back from 3-1 down again, this time with only a minute left for our elimination. It's very hard to regroup and think about these playoffs in perspective. We're still the president's trophy winner, beating lower seeds to make it to the third round. Much different than on paper though.
But now we face our biggest challenge yet... Callahan.

So today I go on NHL.com t find the Rangers have traded Cam Talbot for 3 late round picks. Wow, that's brilliant. But I suppose it was bound to happen.
5 minute later, I refresh the page to see we've traded Carl Hagelin, a guy we drafted back in 2007, to the Ducks for another RFA who is about 5x worse production wise, and can't even fill the slot we're giving up. In the midst of this, we somehow gave up 3 more picks, because we're building for the future by giving up our homegrown talent and picks for... other people's second hand talent and picks? All to clear like 1 mil in cap room.
I'm done. This is hilarious. Just get the fuck out Sather.

I might have to abandon this thread because jdog will go nuts when Kessel wins the Maurice Richard next year. Penguins top 6 is filthy now.
