Zubeldia might get Belkin guys as well he is 2 and 3 min down respectively and already 1min up.
There I saw that coming 30 min into TT. |

predicting something halfway through is not really impressive

I know. I'm not good at predicting. So I'm proud of this, slight improvement.

Dumoulin best of the rest
the next Martin for sure
Agreed. In 2008 Martin was best of rest to Cancellara. And then Martin took over. In 2-3 years time, Dumoulin has a good chance. He is consistent.
You also have to note that since then Cancellara faded a bit in TTs, he became totally focused on classics, while Martin's only strength is TT and solo rides, at least for now

Nope, tomorrow is parade nothing more.
The time where riders went for it even on Paris stage is over.

Thank you for that link but do please show me when the top 5 GC have changed during the last stage? Who gets the podium is over and all thats left is the famous win on Champs. |

What a major fuck up by Mollema.
Valv ;( But he didn't had it in him, TT fits in the decline of the last couple of days. Zubeldia bringing basque back into Top 10, sweet. Surprised by König and that Bardet would lose the place to T.J. was sorta expected. Peraud & Pinot two great podium finishers, not only because of the TT but all three weeks. I'm sorta more exicted for what to see of Peraud in the future than Pinot.

On Mollema and Ten Dam's performance:
Dutch commentators: there must be something wrong with the bike
Mollema: I shouldn't have used this bike
Ten Dam: I probably started too careful.. [when asked about the bike] New bike is great, I'm happy with it. |

Haha what a choker Valverde, shame really he does deserve it if by the bad luck, but he had a lot of luck this race and did not take his chance. |

well everytime in PCM
but normally the gaps are too big for the GC to change on the final stage. you can only win like 5 seconds. but to answer your question. Think the first tour won by Lemond iirc
edit: correction, LeMond second tour in 1989

don't know how you mean it but riders still try to take the stage for the sprinters but never succeed in it because the many trains (Omega Pharma, Giant, Cannondale and Lotto) with Cannondale and OMega PHarma out (most likely cause Sagan can't beat Kittel) and Lotto maybe not wanting to work with Giant. they might have a chance.
wishfull thinking
Think he means GC riders, you wont see a top 10 guy attacking. |

Zubeldia has saved Trek Factory Racing's TdF without any real GC contender, now that Schleck's are not force they once were. They were poor in all stages. Their sprinter crashed, Cancellara went home.
I expect they will be good in Vuelta with Zoidl, Aredondo and Kiserlovski. Hope these riders come to TdF next year. |

I agree they were poor and I think we will see some big changes at Trek with a few highly paid under performing riders shown the door

I would hope not, I think the Giro and Vuelta would always suit Kiserlovski and Arredondo better than the Tour ever will, it would be bad for them to focus on the Tour when at most they can hope for is a top 10 while I think they could ride for a lot more in the other 2 GTs in the future... (Zubeldia is still a GT rider maybe they should stick with him)

I remember when team was RadioShack Trek in 2012 with climbers like Schlecks, Horner, Kloden, Zubeldia, Monfort, Fuglsang; they were going to be team to beat at Tdf with that incredible team. But from that day in Critérium du Dauphiné, all went wrong
I think F. Schleck has shown he can still ride but not with high paycheck he gets now. Question is will he lay down clause for his brother too, who has done nothing in last 2-3 years.. |

lol thats PCM
But you have to remember that Lemond´s win was on a TT on the last stage-
Most exciting end to a TdF https://www.youtu...Wyfb3H7LEg
And i kinda wish they would do that again |

What have we learned today?
Martin is best TTer in the world.
Dumoulin 2nd best.
Bianchi bikes are crap.
Czechs are aparrently very good in long tt's after two and a half weeks of Tour de France.
Spoiler Edit: Seriously. The difference in performance in TT's sinche Belkin/Rabobank switched from Giant to Bianchi is immense. They should really consider switching to another brand. Last year, Mollema finished 11th on a flat TT in the TdF with a Giant bike.

I hope they never have a TT as the final stage again, much prefer it how it is.
