The only 1 I would alter if I would use the stats in a db is Quintana. He needs to have a 82 as well. The rest seem pretty accurate to me.

Wasn't totally happy with the stat algorithm. I altered the calculations in order to match it more to the way I see it fit. Here is the Excel File because I promised it would be open source; https://dl.dropbo...%20v7.xlsm

Will post the top75's in the next post

I find it a little strange that Strong men Sprinters who are more likely to survive the hills have better acceleration then pure sprinters.

I'd have thought it would have been the other way around as the strong men Sprinters tend to sprint for longer but get up to speed slower.

I do appreciate that it's probably a side effect from them gaining Acceleration points off both hilly and sprint stages whereas the pure sprinters would only be gaining them off of sprint stages so I'm not really sure how I'd suggest changing it.

If I recall the tests that are done on the stats correctly than higer acceleration is the length (in time) of the sprint and not the actual acceleration in-game.

So yes my intention was to create the hilly sprinters with lower "top speed", but with longer sprint time.

Wasn't that changed to real acceleration in PCM14?

You are right. Will have to fix that in the v8 of the model.

Acceleration Test: Finished.
Test stage: Hoofddorp - Noordwijk (First half of stage), Olympia's Tour

Short Answer:
Affects time to top speed only.
A speed graph would appear like a radical, rapid acceleration at start, slower improvements to speed when near top speed.

Test 1:
Test: From slow pace (7 Dot), both riders attack.
Results:
80 Rider reaches top speed (65kph) in 1.2km.
60 Rider reaches top speed (65kph) in 1.6km.

Notes:
Both riders deplete red and yellow bar at same pace.
While both riders were at max speed (before bar completely gone) 80 rider had a 0.1km advantage over 60 rider.
Has no effect on deceleration.

Test 2:
Test: From a sustained pace (80 dot) both riders attack.
Results:
80 Rider: Reached top speed in 0.7km
60 Rider: Reached top speed in 1.2km

Notes: Effect is also noticeable when adjusting riders from their slow pace (7 Dot) to their fast pace (80 dot) as 80 rider would reach speed quicker.

Test 3:
Test: Riders sprint at intermediate sprint.
Results:
Similar to both previous experiments, acceleration appears to have no different effect during a sprint than normal.

I've created a database based on PCMDaily 1.2 with version 7 of my stats algorithm based on actual results. Here is the .cdb; https://dl.dropbo...sRawV7.cdb
Based on raw stats, so haven't altered a single stat, this is just the work of formula's.

Some screens of the stats;

I'm already at the giro and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Sadly the rec stats are totally messed up, how do you calculate them?
And what about tt? Why though Martin won mainly every tt in the last 3 years he is on the same level as Wiggins and Cancellara? You said that you consider only 2012-2013 and '14.

recuperation is based on the points scored in GC's and ooint classifications.
hwat do you mean by totally messed yup?

The Tony Martin effect is something that you see correctly. I had the coiche either make the points of the riders relavite to him, than he would have 82 and Wiggo and Cancallara would be 79 and all the others much lower. Or make them relative to the the number 2 in points... i opted of the second, but that means that he isn't the god that he is in reallife TT.

So? What's the point on basing the rec stat on the GC results and point classification?
You could try to base it on the 3rd week and include also the sprinters, not only the climbers.

I was merely stating who the recuperation stat was created by the algorithm. Not intended as a defense or an attack for that matter. I have thought about trying to give stat results for wins in the second and third week, but then it only comes from a small number of races.

I opted to give recuperation points to GC results (only WT level) and to Mountain Classifications and Point Classifications. The PC was with the intention to reward sprinters who are able to perform throughout a stage-race hence the results in the PC and the MC get far less points than a GC, because usually they attack to get the MC points, but rarely have a good GC (I didn't was an attacking good climber to get stats of a GC rider).

Hope this explains it, but still I'm interested with your remark "totally messed up". I like the feedback, but in order to change something, I have to understand it. Can you give examples of something that is out of order?

Well, with totally messed up I mean that Froome can't have the top recuperation stat. It is wrong. Simply wrong. In the last week of tour 2013 he was always beaten by Quintana and the same at this year's Vuelta. He has his top form in the 2nd week. Quintana, conversely, is 2 points lower than Froome, while he is clearly the best in the 3rd week.
Another thing that I don't like is too much riders on the 80's stats. But I think that this could easily be fixed since it is a problem of the matrix.
Of course the same of Froome is applied to Valverde and Rodriguez.
