Back from my holidays, I have a lot of catching up to do, this looks very well so far It has to, though, looking at our other results ...

Wow! That was fricking brilliant leadout for the guy with 50 hill! And we get 8 and 9 too! Definitely worth coming to this race and it's looking like Rasmussen was worth the money too!
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Congrats to Carlsberg, but now onto the mountain stages. Rodrigues still has some time to make up! |

Another stage top 5 despite the train failing is great, these points should all add up towards our end of season goals. Now hopefully we can do something in the upcoming mountains.

Close, but still not good enough. This race will kill me in the end...

My team can only do one thing at a time. Second time ever or so they join the break and immediately Pozdnyakov forgot to sprint...

Well you have it much better than my team then.
My riders ignore breaks, sprints and mountains. |

White jersey basically sealed, Chevrier in the breakaway giving him a shot at a decent KoM result if he does so tomorrow too, can't expect much more.

The real battle begon. A shame that Rodrigues finished last out of the first group. I hoped he could take over the gc to get the yellow jersey bonus, just like Iglinsky did now.
I can't say Ochoa Quintero didn't deserve the win as it seems like he did the most work, judging by the pictures.
If it wasn't for Herklotz my rider Poorseyedi would have had the white jersey, now we have to settle for 2nd in that ranking. |

Indeed Ochoa Quintero was strongest today.
Attacked first of those three and then also did most work.
So deserved win.
Also great to see Kulhavy fighting there. You could have thought, that the top3 have slowed down a few times. But actually this wasn`t the case and Kulhavy indeed was faster on the less steep sections. Yellow jersey plus good daily form I guess. |

I'm not sure who's wrong here, but in my DB he is 29...

A great stage 8 for Nicácio, he looks to be getting better the more the race goes on, which bodes very well for the TT.
Right at the start of the season I would have expected Nicácio to podium in this race, but that was before multiple 78/79 climbers entered the continental ranks. Will be very happy with a top5 overall from here.
Great reports Roturn, especially the last one. |

There was something in his mixture that was provided by our medical team that made him younger.
I'm talking of Sayar obviously, mixed the names up in my head. He is U25 even without his mixture. |

Yeah it's easy to mix up your Asian dopers every once in a while
I'm sorry, but I hope it comforts you that you are the first of certainly countless managers to say "if it wasn't for Herklotz I'd win white" in the next 5 years
But you're right to mention it, with a flag to flag win that results in 18 ranking points only in that classification, which is just one shy of what you get for 7th in the GC or alternatively more than 1.5 stage wins.

As long as my team doctor doesn't do the same when preparing the blood bags.
That makes it a little better. As long as I'm not the first to say "If it wasn't for Herklotz I'd fulfill my CT ranking goal."
But in the end 18 points won't make that much of a difference. |

If you take a look at the PCT rankings you'll see it does for me at the moment
Especially to justify my C2 adventures to get Herklotz maxed out a season earlier.

Loving Kulhavis performance here.
Only pluss with Kulhavi losing the leaders Jersey is a potensial stage win from a breakaways and it will allow my other climbers to climb on the GC aswell

I'm quite liking the way my team is riding at the moment. Edwin Parra Bustamante with a solid 6th moving him up to 9th in the GC, he may still be able to improve there. Delio Fernandez attacking was good but it came to nowhere and hopefully he can improve his GC. Amd then Jeannesson who seemed to work at the front of the larger group the whole of the final climb and lead them through the finish so nice pace making from him and wouldn't mind seeing him attack to put more pressure on the top GC teams and to improve his GC placement.

I wish my riders were able to repeat what they did here last year. At the moment it looks like we won't have a rider in the top 20 on GC after the TT as Alizadeh will probably lose over 3 minutes and my other riders aren't able to keep up on the mountains.
