Remember Jimmy Briceño, the guy with 63 % hematocrit value who almost rode for Androni? He tested positive on EPO. |

Petacchi having a pop at Farrar, definitely newsworthy https://www.cyclingquotes.com/news/far...g_crashes/
It's only 18 crashes (last season) he's just been unlucky... |

Interesting to see Matthews, Swift and Nizzolo compared to Kittel, Cavs and Greipel. Also no mention of Goss at all in the top sprinters list.
Pettachi does raise a point though, and that 18 crashes in one season is just ridiculous. That's more than a lot of riders will have in an entire career, so there must be something else at play.
Perhaps it's the fact he doesn't have a leadout and must fight for position. But the same can be said for Matthews, Nizzolo and Swift yet they don't wipe out more than once a month (Christ he crashed more than once a month! Ok Tyler you should probably get some serious help friend)

My first thought was Tramadol, because that has been a big thing of late but it would assume that Farrar either reacted worse to it or that no one else was doing it, which I find hard to believe. It would be interesting to see how many of the crashes he caused himself, or could have avoided falling into.

Those three in particular will usualyl at least have a pilot light who can get them into a decent enough position near the front so that they have less to fight for. Farrar, on the other hand (from memory here) doesn't seem to have that so often, or at least seems to lose whoever is put in charge of that. This leaves him even further behind and thus more prone to being part of crashes. Still, with his height I would have thought he would be better at fighting for position.

Hmm, Martin will be even more disappointed with his LBL crash now. Next year's LBL will finish on descent and a flat finish.
...
Although to be fair, as long as they ride it hard, it must be better than this years edition.

So that Martin can crash on the descent which is less embarrassing? Plus its harder to fix a race on a downhill. |

Is that the actual reason?
And about Farrar, he's often placed badly, but also he's just not as good at riding in a peloton I guess.
