@the hobbit
You'll learn that my titles are usually quotes or sayings. They will always relate to the subject, which in this case is change and being somewhere new. Issue is i've written so many blogs im starting to run out of ideas...
@britfan
The thought crossed my mind
Wiggins cause most people don't like him, Sagan cause i don't like him. GB track, well you'll see. Injures were randomly picked. 1 year bans as 12months seems to be fairly standard (yes that was researched) plus i do want them both back soonish cause they are major riders.
But thanks
@anyone
Handball killed me, so the whole weekend will be spent in bed playing PCM. I aim to get to April by the end of the weekend, if not further... Ambitious but i have not wanted to play PCM so badly in years

27th January 2013
Grand Prix la Marseillaise
Team: Lasnik, Van Achteren, Lemair, Lalouette, Zimine, Vermuelen, Kowalski, Patoux
139km to go - The riders set off on the road to Marseille. 6 real climbs stand in there way and we expect a group sprint finish.
130km - The days break has already formed. Valentin (COF), T.Meyer (OGE) and Gene (EUC) have made it clear.
83km - The gap tops out at a maximum of 5'20
50km - Fumeaux (IAM) places an attack and sets off to try and join the leading trio
25km - E1 // 40" E2 // 54" P
16km - Attacks! The final climb has sparked the race! De Clercq (LTB leads the way. Kennaugh (SKY) follows him. Bardet (AGR) and Lagutin (VCD) are amongst several riders chasing across now
10km - Valentin attacks from the lead! Over the top of the climb he holds 11" and growing. Gene and Meyer have only 24" over Kennaugh, Bardet, Frank, Lagutin and De Clercq. A further 26" back are Hivert, Verdugo, Riblon, Van Achteren, Lasnik, Szmyd and Siutsou. Rabottini is lagging another 25" down.
3km - Valentin has a lead, but it's shrinking fast. The two large chasing groups have caught Gene and Meyer. The peloton is also closing in on them, but it's too late to grab the win...
[Note: At this exact moment my pizza was delivered and i somehow forgot the press pause... so here's the results)

Holy crap! What an amazing first race! This race always attracts a good startlist with loads of WT teams. I was near the front over the days big climb showing myself. Then Ian did a great job protecting me up that last climb, then putting in a daredevil descent to close the gap. And then i just powered hard to the line, missing out by barely 200meters. Just amazing. This is why i turned pro! Fuck Yeah!

Great start! And i don't like the pizza boy who disturbed you during PCM
One little note though: Screens would probably just look a little bit better if you remove the circles around the riders (' next to the ENTER key on a QWERTY-keyboard)

I know how to remove them, but i prefer to leave them. It makes it easier to pick out my riders (as if the orange wasn't enough ) and then the green circle to draw focus and illustrate the moment

Realized i'd included WT riders in the LFMT rankings. Updated that, with 10th place actually having finished down around 115th...

Stages 1-3
Team: Van Achteren, Lasnik, Lalouette, Barrat, Boulo, Desriac, Kniesky, Vermeulen
Stage 1
Limoux - Gruissan
146km to go- And off we go. Five days of racing, with some of the worlds top riders in attendance.
139km- Lalouette (RLM) attacks first off. Bacon (BIG) follows him away
137km- Vakoc (ETI) joins the guys upfront to make a trio of riders. They go on to form the days breakaway
111km- KoM 1 taken by Bacon, then Vachon then Lalouette with a gap of 4'45
100km- KoM2 taken by Bacon again, ahead of Vachon then Lalouette with a gap of 5'10
98km- Delage (FDJ) overcooks the descent, taking a detour into a small hedge
85km- IS taken by Vakoc ahead of Lalouette and Bacon with a gap of 5'39
20km- The breakaways lead has melted down to a slim 1'10. Europcar and FDJ are doing most of the work for Coquard and Bouhanni
10km- Bacon still leads by 24" but it's a done deal now. Movistar have taken over for Rojas, but the other big sprinters each have their own trains.
1000m- Under the Kite the main favorites slide out of the slipstreams and kick hard! It's going to be a close run thing!
FINISH- Nacer Bouhanni takes the win! Veelers and Coquard round off the podium.

Great opening days. Stage 1 i was right on Rojas wheel with 1.5km to go, but i couldn't hold those speeds for long enough. Still 16th is a good result in this high quality field. Stage 2... yeah i'm not good at time trials... Stage 3 was pretty awesome. I managed to ride myself up to the leaders on the final climb, an felt really strong doing so. Then when i saw Moreno going i just jumped with him, didn't think just went hard. It worked as i held on to 5th place, just ahead of Kessiakoff. Way down in the GC, but i will move up, and a Top20 i think is reachable. I knew i had talent, but this is amazing!
