Tour de San Luis - Stage 2
2nd race for the team!
We want to get noticed, and it's obvious. A three man break: Totti, Rocha and Sergent. That's two of our squad.
Totti took the first (and only) KoM sprint of the day and will wear the jersey tomorrow!
Rocha, a semi-sprinter, looked for an easy point at the intermediate sprint, but launched his sprint too late.
The break didn't make the final intermediate sprint. Since Rocha is our main sprinter here, we had nobody battling for the stage win. Many people lost time today, though.

@Ballack - You seem in great shape. I hope you can keep fighting for the General Classification.
@Lora - You're doing good. If you can hang on to a decent spot in the time trial, you'll co-lead next to Ballack. Don't attack in the coming stage. Try to hang on.
1 Breakaway (+1 SP, +1 FGHT)
Rocha
Win 1 KoM Sprint (+1 MO, +1 HILL)
Totti
Totti keeps picking up points and is quickly growing to be a strong attacker. With diverse stats such as climbing (70 now) and sprinting, he's the perfect fighting billboard for this team.
Rocha brings up his sprinting to 72, making him 2nd sprinter of the team. Combined with 73 cobblestones, he will have an important finish speed in the cobbled races.

Tour de San Luis - Stage 3
The first real test of the year. Let's see how we do uphill!
Rocha was clearly keen on revenge and went in the offense, winning his intermediate sprint!
The stage went fast and the final climb came soon. Castelo proved to be an invaluable team mate by setting the pace for Ballack early on the climb!
But nobody could beat this man today. Tiernan-Locke with the victory. Ballack with a very nice 4th place here!

Tour de San Luis - Stage 4
Our team's first time trial.
Things got off to a bad start when we saw we brought the wrong TT equipment. The boys made the best out of it, though.

@Ballack - You're still hanging on in the top 10, after the time trial. You're now absolute leader. You have two goals: keep your top 10 place, keep your young jersey.
@team - Assist Ballack. Work for him, try to lighten the load by attacking.
Win 1 Intermediate Sprint (+1 SP)

INFORMATION
I decided I will update the rider roster every month, so you can really see the progress the riders make. I will also occasionally update the excel file found in the original post, where the achievements are listed, but also what riders have reached what achievement and their statistics.
Let me know what you think about how this is going. It's good to receive feedback so I can make this the best possible Be a Pro-mode game for PCM.
Remember that here you are your rider and I'm the DS. You can request certain things at anytime. You can request to take a rest, abandon, permission to attack (though I will mostly ride aggressively automatically, as ProConti team), ask for a leading role... |

So far so good, if you can keep this way, this will be one of the ever best pcmdaily rider stories.
As about my rider (JAxi Zoli), i want to attack with him a lot if possible and if a better rider racing in team, work for him as a best can possible. Statwise he is one of the bests in hills, so leader or co-leader for the hilly races, mountain and cobble stat wise he will be a hard working teammate, in the sprinter stages mostly for the breakaways, lack of flat for leadout |

Well if the others don't mind i would like to be aggressive in the finale of GP Marseillese. In fact i have no chance in a sprint (61 SP) while Perez is pretty good (67 SP). So i could use my fighter ability to break the peloton or tu try making a solo in the last km or when you think it's more correct to attack |

Same here. Maybe we can attack switched, tireing the another teams, and if we fail, Perez can win in final sprint |

Great start in Tour De San Luis, hopefully we can hold on to that Top 10 place and take the Young Riders Jersey too!
Given my high stamina I think I would be best served attacking as the Tony Martin of the team in Marseille; riding a long last stint at the front to either pull in the breakaway or string out the peloton..high pace and pull the lead out train into a good position.

Tour de San Luis - Stage 5
Today was the only mountain stage.
It seems to be our team specialty. Coutinho got in the breakaway and won the intermediate sprint. Well done on his behalf!
And then it all went wrong. There were numerous attacks. Ballack was isolated way too early. After the ascend, he had some hard chasing to do, on his own.
Luckily he kept a steady pace and in the end he even moves up in the GC, but this could've ended badly!

Will someone explain to me what happened? Where was everybody when we needed them?
@Coutinho - Good to see you're still trying to make something of this tour. You started out with a bad form but today's stage was quite good. But you should've waited for your leader when Moreno passed you.
@Ballack - We're lucky to have you here. Great job.
@Lora - No offense to you, you did your share of the work today, keeping your leader out of the wind all the time.
Breakaway (+1 SP, +1 FGHT)
Coutinho
Win 1 Intermediate Sprint (+1 SP)
Coutinho

Moving to 8th is a great result there, but i wonder how far he could've gone if he wouldn't have been isolated so early.

Dippofix - Very true. Still two stages left, though!
the_hoyle - Yes, I received it okay We'll see how the race pans out, though, it's a fairly tough profile in PCM 2013!
sutty68 - Seems like he is. He's lucky to have the best early season form of the team! |

Shame it went wrong, but Juan is still on a nice position in the GC
I like the 'comment from the DS' parts btw

Glad that you like that. It's something to try and make it feel more "realistic", after all it's "be a pro", not "have a pro"
It also makes it a little more fun for me!
Oh, and by the way, for those who want (totally optional), you can make your rider information sheet/rider HQ/whatever in your application post. If it's good,I'll even put it in the original post! |

Ah, I might do that.
Not now though, homework calls.
I can do that whenever I want, right?

Well done, lads. You made me proud on our first team journey.
@Ballack - Too bad you just fell out of the top 10, but you did good. The field was strong and it was your first experience with this level of racing.
@Rocha - You learned a lot in those few days. Your sprinting has really gone up!
@Castelo - You were the perfect team mate! Keep this up and it'll grow on you, hint hint!
The overall progression made will be seen when I release the new squad statistics at the end of the month! |
