Rohregger will extend his GC lead after saving tons of energy yesterday after letting his team do all the work.
No clue about who will take home the victory though,I imagen it would be someone high placed at the GC-table.

Hard to predict because Martinez and Rohregger are very close in terms of ability in a TT (74 vs. 73). Rohregger is slightly better on the flat, and with better resistance, but Martinez has better recovery and hill (if that stat matters). Rohregger looked stronger on the last few stages, but who knows if that matters. Frankly it will go to the one that is stronger on the day!
Mihaylov could be a threat for the stage, but his low recovery probably rules him out from beating Rohregger or Martinez
I'll say Rohregger wins by '4 over Martinez. I haven't been paying attention to the standings further down so I have no predictions there
May the best man win!

Landa has won more than Napo so far...
Stage + KOM is nice, but without the crash and Sarmiento riding stupidly we could have 5th and 10th |

Hmm... I think Rohregger will win by 45" to Martinez. They look quite equal but Martinez has been performing badly over the last couple of days. I also think Paillot will get a surprise top 10.
Stage 10 was weird, but not complaining with Chaoufi second. Can't wait for the TT now |

This race doesn't stop giving!!!!
The battle for 5th is intense and goes down to placing on the flat stage!! Wow, that is the battle to watch, and has been for most of the race.
Mihaylov proves he is a decent bet in TT's, and im sure he would have won had it been earlier in the race. Also check out the non-tt'ers Colorado and Parra rocking up with great times.
A good day for Boeing.
This has been a great race all-round for everyone, regardless of results.

Without the crash, Landa would be fourth and 14 seconds off the podium. Great result considering he can't TT or do Hills |

Rohregger is rewarding Magna well here for risking the 12 stage race on their team leader - and awesome to see Jiriakov set for 3rd overall.

Except that without the crash, Landa would probably not have gone in that breakaway

This race has turned into a bit of a bummer for us, congrats Rohregger on the dominant ride
Hopefully Ghafari can cheer me up tomorrow |

I knew whether or not Alizadeh would keep a top 5 placing or not would be close due to how bad he is at TT's but I expected him to "have enough cream in his legs" to hold on. Hopefully he'll be able to steal enough bonus seconds to reclaim the place he climbed so well for and if not then the young rider's jersey is a very nice consolation package.

there's no way you're keeping the Teams Classification.
looks like you might have been wrong about that one
am I the only one expecting a crash involving at least 1 member of the top in in the final stage?

Yay, as long as we avoid disaster tomorrow Rohregger will complete his comeback GC victory. Martinez was tough competition, but he's going to get a ton of points as well for his performance.
Tomorrow's 'sprint' will be interesting. It looks like Ghafari vs. anyone else with energy left to sprint at the end. Maybe a break of some lower GC riders could win as well because I don't think any team will be too keen to chase it down.

Please god no.

I actually hate my predicting skills now...
I said yesterday, multiple times: Colorado, Mestre +0''.......... xD
Now I hope Mestre will be at the front with Gomenyuk when the sprint starts to get 4th in the GC.
But I will say this once more: On stage 4 Mestre lost 3.23 to Martinez, so if he didn't ride like an idiot he would've been 3rd easily...
Also a nice effort from Kono here

With the final stage now up, I step aside!
Thanks to everyone who've commented on the reports throughout. I hope you've enjoyed following this race.
Also a small apology for kind of rushing the reports. I'm leaving for Italy on vacation later today, so I had to finish before then.

Bah that would've been number 3...
Can understand it tho, with only Dzhus and Hoelgaard able to work really, as both Mestre and Kononenko had to stay in the P to secure their top 10s.
Team is off to Portugal now to compete in our first appearance in a C1 race.
EDIT: Pelli: Thanks for the nice reports and the great speed, never felt like you were rushing it!

Well, that didn't end well for us, though I think we scored alot of points anyway. I hope we can see the standings soon.
Thanks Pelli for all the reports, I liked the pace of them. Next up is the Kenya Mountain Classic for us! |

Great race. I love these kind of events with lots of small teams, and a large count of race days. I hope these reports can make the race more appealing for other teams if it's decided to be included for next year.
Congrats to all the winners, and to Pellizotti for the high-quality reports.

The small amount of teams obviously gave us some very strange races, I was slightly worried the crashed riders would be OOT
Congratulations to Magna and all other teams coming out of this with a good points haul, and thanks a lot Pellizotti for making this race as enjoyable as possible

Congrats on the reports Pelli! That was one strange last stage.
Looking forward to see how much points Rohregger has taken.

I was getting a little worried about that aswell, I think everyone has to thank JK cycling for chasing down before the second intermediate sprint as I'm certain that if they didn't then Scarponi would hav been the only finisher in the time limit.
I called the crash I was hoping it wouldn't involve one of my riders but we were lucky he manged to defend his place on GC aswell as his jersey anyway.
And thank you pellizotti2 for the great reports, they really helped to keep the race exciting and the pace of them didn't feel rushed at all.
Has there previously been a stage where the winner had such a big gap to second? I know it's common in NC's but what about as part of a stage race?
