JuanMotr
I know this Time-Trials aren´t much interesting so let´s jump to me Pfft.
I was off against one of the best riders in peloton:

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot002_zpsf3459b9b.jpg

Team-mates told me that I shouldn´t start too fast. I listened to them and on the first checkpoint I was only one second faster than Rodriguez.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot003_zps61835c02.jpg

GM told me that I need to go faster or I will end 3rd as De Gendt was provisonaly in top 10 on first checkpoint.
I put pedal to the metal. I was thinking about everything on the earth. How I would kill that fucking race director who didn´t give time gaps on stage 2.
After a while I was in finish. GM told me that I was flying and that I ended 5th.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot004_zps848d1dc2.jpg

Than I could only wait. Just like at MTT at Paris-Nice. It took only couple of minutes but for me it was longest few minutes in my life.
Joaqium came to finish.

And the winner is:

Race:
6 riders created BOD.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot005_zpscf28ce5e.jpg

A lot of teams worked hard to chase them so we just stayed in the pack.
I had a nice chat with Quintana.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot006_zps01ed9c71.jpg

30kms before finish first attacks occured. Jelle Vanendert was the one who couldn´t wait any longer.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot013_zps91c9ed6e.jpg

Phillipe Gilbert tried hard to get away but when he got away every team in the pack started to chase him. And he never created significant gap.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot012_zps59d04db2.jpg

With 15 kms to go I went to the front as Rodriguez got away.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot014_zps96b2d169.jpg

I kept the gap between him and first chasing group under 30 seconds. Than I was tired I came to Alejandro wished him good luck and let the pack go. My day was over. Now it was up to Visconti and Alejandro.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot018_zpse95ecbf3.jpg

Rodriguez was still up front and with only 5km to go Visconti gave Alejandro perfect lead-out.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot021_zps3e1868cc.jpg
i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot022_zps7d1e3e9a.jpg

Than Valverde started his killing acceleration.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot024_zpscb3e2367.jpg
i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot025_zpsccccc5d2.jpg

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot027_zps9c762af7.jpg

Yes! We are all very happy. Especialy Alejandro himself. He said that he will help me and Visconti to win one of the races too that he really apreciate work we done for him. I was really happy to hear such kind words.

Next report will be after La Flèche Wallonne. Hope Alejandro can win that too. Pfft
btw: Tom Boonen won also Paris-Roubaix and thus won all 4 cobble classics.
I want to congratule him even this way. Maybe he is reading my blog Grin.

Seeya.

Rui.

Ian Butler
Boonen winning all 4, great Grin

And I think much praise is in place here for Costa, without whom Valverde couldn't have done this.
He's already proved to be a team player, but this was excellent work. Smile

Ian: thanks, I want make it realistic that he can´t always be the last guy who is doing lead-out. This time it was Visconti. In Fleche it will maybe be Rui. Smile

Squad:

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot004_zps8510f48d.jpg

Today we wanted to do it same as in Amstel.
So we let 5 riders create a BOD.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot007_zps568d1dc7.jpg

When they had 7 minutes on the peloton we and few other teams started to do the pace.
With 50 kms to go Samy Sanchez with few others attacked. We let them go but we had them under lock.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot010_zps8c81c011.jpg

They soon caught BOD guys and created quite a big group.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot011_zps48f9e405.jpg

With only 15kms to go only 4 riders were in front.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot028_zps57799a62.jpg

On penultimate slope of the day big guns attacked. Rodriguez, Gilbert, Vanendert and Shleck.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot033_zps840168c7.jpg

We send Quintana to front and he caught them on downhill. He gave all and couldn´t even follow the pace.
1km later Kroon was alone in front while Gilbert was trying to close the gap to him.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot034_zpsb3fb9604.jpg

I gave great leadout to Visconti and Alejandro.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot036_zps908f47ac.jpg

When the final climb started they were in perfect position.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot037_zps5e29621d.jpg

Visconti was going that fast that only Alejandro and Monfort could follow.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot038_zps14469785.jpg

Alejandro didn´t wanted to steal away victory from him. Not after what he said yesterday. Visconti was so happy that Alejandro and Monfort just flought by him after the finishing line. He nearly fall of the bike he was that happy.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot039_zps9522181a.jpg

He for sure deserved this win as he had to be only a lead out man for Valverde but he was so strong that he could lead the pack through the whole climb.

i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p575/JuanMotr/Tour%20of%20San%20Luis/ScreenShot040_zps3f8ae90e.jpg
