July 2014
- 2.HC - Tour of Austria
Cameron Meyers goal of the season and he doesn't dissapoint. He wins stage 2 and 3. On two other stages he's second. Overall he wins the GC and the points classification. Antonino Vinals end up on a very nice 3rd place.
- 2.HC - Tour of Qinghai Lake
After a succesful Tour of Austria, Cameron Meyer entered Tour of Qinghai Lake as a favourite. And yet again he had huge success. He wins stage 5 and the GC.
However Meyer was not the only Swiss Life Tissot rider having success in China. The team completely owned the race. Besides Meyer, Smet and Gerhardsson had stage wins. Gerhardsson even had two, and also won the points jersey. And to complete the triumph, Marc marner won the mountain jersey. Smet ended up 3rd in the GC as well.
Conclusion:
Wow.. What a trip to China .. Meyer shows his good form at the right moment and promotion are now very close. We're 954 points ahead of Euskaltel at 3rd.
Meyer moves up to 2nd in the individual rankings, behind Serikov.
Transfers:
Young talented time trialist Wilco Kelderman has been signed for the new season. Another new face is italian climber Gianluca Brambilla. |

September 2014
- 2.1 - Tour of China
Gerhardsson wins stage 2 and 5. Miron Serikov wins stage 6, 7 and 9. An epic battle between two of the futures top sprinters. Incredibly enough neither won the sprinters jersey.
- WC - World Championships ITT
Patrick Gretsch wins it, so Swiss Life will wear it second season in a row.
Conclusion:
A lot of small one-day races without results to follow. Gretschs WC win and our great Tour of China saved the month.
3180 points in the continental rankings. Meyer, Serikov and Gerhardsson are the top-3 individually.
The team has racked up 47 wins this season.
Transfers:
Serikov have been lobbying for our team to sign young stage racer Shishenko from Ukraine. After watching him in some races we decided to sign him.

Youth Signings!
The team needs climbers! And I would pick potential over current any time. However I'm not sure my scouts are right with some of the riders.
Please feel free to recommend any of the following. And please try to describe why. In a day or two I will come back and sign the most wanted rider. And take other comments into consideration when selecting others to the team.
The candidates:
Christopher Bangsbo Andersen

Winner of two stages in Giro delle Regioni. Runner-up two times.

Svein Arne Salkjelsvik
21 years - Puncher - World ranking: 2

Scout: Worth watching
Jose Pedro Quevy

Stats
Stu Grimshaw
21 years - Sprinter - World ranking: 21
Four stage wins in Tour de l'Avenir
Craig Titus
22 years - Stage Racer - World ranking: 7
Winner of the king mountain stage in Tour de l'Avenir a long with the overall GC.
Stats - Scout: Worth watching
Garmann Wassbakk
21 years - Stage Racer - World ranking: 10
Winner of the prologue and a mountain stage in Tour de l'Avenir. 2nd overall
Stats
Szilard Demo
21 years - Stage Racer - World ranking: 9
Winner of the Time trial in Tour de l'Avenir. Also got a couple of top-5 finishes on mountain stages in the same race. 5th overall.
Kristjan Heed
21 years - Stage Racer - World ranking: 4

I'll sign Titus and Quevy... And currently considering signing Heed on recommendation from Gerhardsson...
I would really like another rider and preferably a climber.. So Salkjelsvik or Heed are currently being considered.
However four stage wins by Grimshaw is impressive! |
