Most annoying thing out of all of this is now his appearance in 'Dodgeball' based on his comeback is now invalid. Way to ruin a great film! |

İ didn't want ot insult anybody, but maybe WADA.
Pointing out (the obvious) that in those days, the few riders who were clean were outside the time limit (like the entire Lotto team on Alpe D'Huez, and sayings are they 'learned' from that experience)
ı just find it strange Armstrong is criminalized and spit out by everyone while he was defenitly the best (wheter it is cycling, doping yourself or the perfect combination of those).
Ok maybe i wouldn't rob a bank either.
But the tour is....magical
Fair enough

Most people who dislike Armstrong also dislike Riis and Bruyneel for what they did. Riis at least admitted it well after he did it, and Vaughters has come out and publicly said that he did so. Armstrong has made no such statement.

Lol. So if someone murders someone, they shouldn't be brought to justice for it after the crime? |

You can, but you can't make believe the murder didn't happen.

Don't know if it is said before, but can USADA take away the Tour-wins, or is only the UCI or ASo allowed to do so?

So what's the point? That we should pretend it didn't and forget about penalising it? |

He may have cheated, but he may have been the best cyclist in the world.
No, he was the best general classification rider during the Tour de France held during his era.
Would you say Wiggins is better than Cavendish, or Ullrich was better than Zabel ? It's different. Would you say Gilbert 2011 was better than, say, Evans ? Hard to tell. Cycling is not all about Tour de France general classification.

I wonder if Raymond Poulidor has his hopes up, today.
Given he's admitted he used stimulating substances (read : amphetamines) during his career, I guess he definitely shouldn't get his hopes too high.

I totally agree. Anyone from 92-2006 should just be gone. Those tourse never existed.
1992 - 2006 ?
The likes of Delion, Mottet, Bassons, Moncoutié, and probably many others that I don't know, would surely be glad to be stripped of their wins or various achievements during that period.

Only UCI, actually. No idea what ASO can do there.

BTW, there are worse things than doping. Paralympic athletes harm themselves to perform better: https://www.bbc.co...t-19325756 |

If Ulrich doped and they gave him those wins. |

I very much doubt so. It seems unavoidable now, but there's paperwork to do, and UCI have already issued a statement saying they're waiting for informations from USADA before they do anything. Then, knowing how reluctant they must be to do anything against anyone (and Lance Armstrong in particular), I think this should take a few days at best, and that a few months are likely. |
