No surprises there. I think Gerrans just isn't good enough to win stages, perhaps in an early attack. Goss might surprise though.

He's good enough to win MSR but not a stage in the Tour de France?

MSR is a totally different race, on a totally different date.

And Weening rode pretty well in the Dauphine as well.

Cofidis: Moncoutie, Taaramae, Di Gregorio, Samuel Dumoulin, Nicolas Edet, Julien Fouchard, Romain Zingle, Jan Ghyselinck and Luis-Angel Mate.
Taaramae for white jersey? He's the only young rider who's a leader (Poels said he's hunting stages).

Apart from the first 4 riders Cofidis is pretty weak this year. I think Taaramäe can win the white jersey, as well as Moncoutie can win the polka dot. I think they will be happy with just one of those. Dumoulin and Gregorio are good riders who can hunt stages - the rest of the team... |

3-time GT Stage Winner, I think he has what it takes no doubt. I see Goss and Weening winning stages though maybe...

Albasini is one of the best stage hunters in the whole peloton.. Especially for not so tough mountain stages like there are some this year..

So Voeckler will be starting after all. He won't be as good in the first stages, probably. But knowing Voeckler, he can always do something.
I hope Rolland can get a top 20. |

Does anyone know when Movistar and Liquigas decides to publish their teams? It's pretty interestesting in order to help Nibali and Valverde animate the race. As far as i know, the only ones who are sure to make the Tour is Rui Costa and Valverde from Movistar and Basso (nice), Nibali and Sagan from Liquigas.

Okay, cool. Some pretty good domestiques and some good climbers as Cobo, Costa and Valverde who can light it up if they are fit. And i am not forgetting about the possible green jersey, Rojas. Definetely a strong team.
- I was hoping for Moreno Moser, but okay. I like that fact they brings both Szmyd and Basso, even tough they have raced the Giro. It shows how much they believe in Nibali. I hope the too of them are in good shape. And i hope for Nerz in the last spot. |

I might be wrong, but to me it looks like the sponsors are pushing to have Voeckler in, when he's too injured to ride. I wouldn't be surprised if he abandoned somewhere in the middle of the first week.
Or maybe he'll just be more fresh in the last week, who knows. I can't see him as a serious contender this year, whatsoever. |

Europcar will disappoint. Rolland is okay but no one will let him go again. And he'll lose about 8 minutes in the time trials alone.
What I'm worried about is what the sprinters will do. Some of them (Kittel, for example) may not make the time limit, and riders like Freire may abandon because of the Olympics. Hope the mass sprints won't get too boring after the first week.
Edit: Cyclingnews says Rolland can still get the white jersey

I don't see how mass sprints can be boring. What's the difference between a mass sprint in let's say the Tour of Langkawi and the Tour? They are both very exciting, just the level of competition differs...

Mass sprints are very exciting, the problem are the dull 5h which precede them.
