Contador? I can only suppose that Riis knows that Contador doesn't stand a chance in CAS. |

I was thinking more along the lines of: "Purchasing Menchov might be the only option for Riis if Contador gets convicted".
And no, I do not see Cobo as a proper option. Something's just fishy. |

Menchov surely to Saxo, in replace of Contador for the TDF, that's what I think, unhappy at the way sponsors are pulling out of cycling, the sport is having alot publciity for more right reasons that wrong now, I just don't understand why they wouldn't want to be involved in what is a brilliant sport.

Yeah I was pretty much the same when I read the news. I paused and thought bad for some of the riders... then I shrugged and didn't care any more. The death of Saunier Duval is something I'm not going to complain about.

Yes, yes ,yes.
Surely Contador knew after he did mediocre in the TDF(because he was suffering from his "steak" withdrawels) that the CAS had him.

I saw an article on CN where Holczer said that Katusha are preparing for an important transfer. Maybe Menchov? |

No tears for Geox from me, which company would like to be the sponsor in time Cobo's positive test is knocking at the door? (at least i hope it is).

That was Freire, I think.

AG2R wanted Mizbani, so I assume they still do

They wanted Mizbani AND Sohrabi, but only because of the rider value points
Now AG2R got Zargari instead and some other dude from the asian tour i believe.
So they don't need Mizbani/Sohrabi anymore, they should be safe on the rider value ranking |

Even though such riders are likely to never show anything at that top level, I still think it could be an opportunity for them to shine. After all, you never know. Europeans don't have a bigger potential, it's just a matter of opportunities. So, if some riders from those exotic countries are given the chance to shine, sooner or later they'll manage.
Their main problem is that such a small part of the population gets the chance to test itself in cycling, that the probability of one of them making his way to the very top level is minimal. But not impossible. |

You hope he is positive??? Why on earth would you hope that? Not for love of the sport, that's for sure

Just hoping he'll get caught if he's cheating ? Like any other rider or sportsman. |

We'd all be better off hoping for a positive-free / less-positive sport than being unable to wait to see who will be the next caught...

Thanks, precisely my point. Hoping he'll get caught if he's cheating is clearly no the same as hoping he's cheating

No. We'd all be better hoping for a cheating-free sport. No positives =/= no cheating.
