Dont forget Spain has both Gasol brothers, Rubio, Navarro and many more, but i agree USA will dominate the tournament...
Don't forget Serge I-blockya! Their interior D will be tough.
He shouldnt even be playing for France.......
And him and Parker cant stop Rudy Fernandez anyway
?
Serge is on the Spanish squad.
Although i do agree that no mortal man can stop Rudy Fernandez.
Oh I thought I read a month or so ago he was now on the French team. He should just make a Congolese team with a bunch of his bros.

Dwight Howard.
But more surprising for me is Iguodala to the Nuggets.

Imo, the Heat are still a better team with the additions of Allen and Lewis

Yeah they were!!
Always have been a big fan of both Iggy and the Sixers so it's a shame they part ways but I'm looking forward what he can do in Denver, as the team should certainly fit him.
Also happy for Philly to get Bynum. They have a very strong team now with Holiday, Turner, Young, Hawes.. I can see them getting very far the upcoming season.
EDIT: Had to qoute this

So excited for Nash and Kobe. If we get Dwight that would be ridiculous, because I think Bynum can be better than him if we let him mature.

So, time to revive this thread, I believe.
Wanted to ask you guys, what do you think of my Magic roster?
Nelson/Redick/Gallinari/Granger/Oden
T.Douglas/George/???/Harrington/Vucevic
It's pretty fun to play with them, running fast-breaks, stretching the floor, although defense is quite problematic. |

Really nice duo of Granger and Galinari.. Galinari can be a beast from outside.
Also Tony Douglas is really great PG so I really like your team. Much more than how they look in real life |

Don't want to start a new thread so... Michigan is playing for the NCAA Championship and I couldn't be happier. Been following them all year and even drove down to the Palace to watch their first tournament game (where I sat right next to the tunnel and gave all the players high fives going into the locker room). If they win it would be the first championship for a team I rooted for since the 08 Red Wings, in basketball the 04 Pistons.
So to relate this back to the NBA, where do you see Trey Burke (AP Player of the Year) landing in the draft if he decides to come out? I got my fingers crossed for my Pistons.

Trey is definitely a top 5 pick in my mind, I'd love to see him in Phoenix. Pistons are going to re-sign Calderon most likely, so he is not a good fit there.
Also what will OKC do with their Toronto pick? Alex Len maybe? Don't really know what they gonna do with it...

I'm hoping they don't resign Calderon, and get Burke instead.
Burke/Knight/Singler/Monroe/Drummond
And perhaps signed Josh Smith to replace Singler as well.
As for OKC Lens could be a good fit as I would say their weakest spot is the Center. So if Lens is already off the board, perhaps Olynyk or Zeller?

I don't think J-Smoove would go to the Pistons, maybe some smaller names. (Jennings?) The Frontcourt is set, I could also imagine Oladipo and Porter there.
I'm not a big fan of Jennings though, no max-player.

I just feel they are missing that player maker, and after watching Calderon I'm not that impressed. Burke knows how to win even if he is having an off day, and it looks like Calderon is running around trying to chase after stats most of the time.
If a pure scorer is still left when we draft I wouldn't be to upset if they pass over Burke, but I don't consider Oladipo or Porter pure scorers either.
Also, the Pistons are a business. If they take Burke a lot more Michigan fans (who for the most part are longtime Piston fans back in the day when they where competing for championships) would come back to watch them again. And they need people back in the stadium they can hardly fill half of it.

Porter could be a scorer though, but you're right about Oladipo. He is more of a defender/ Tony Allen kind of guy.
One problem I have with the Pistons, that they're not a big market team, but they're trying to build through FA. They're not going to land a franchise player from there I think, because there are many bigger markets. Monroe is not going to be a superstar, but he is solid, Drummond can be but he is raw. The others aren't that great, so the draft is the only solution. --- They have tons of cap space though. They're an interesting team to watch. |

Yep, I just hope they play their cards right and come out of the off-season with a better team then they went in with. Detroit isn't a small market team either though, so don't be surprised if somebody like Josh Smith takes a chance with us. We're young, have money, and need that 1 superstar to lead us. Perfect situation if you ask me.

Joe Dumars's last FA splashes. Ben Gordon... Charlie Villanueva...
Dumars is a good drafter imo, but ain't no great when it comes to FA. Also, I don't really see Smith as a fit. He is a PF, and Drummond and Monroe are DET's bigs. Smoove can play SF for a while, but he is more of a PF. If u play him as a SF, you need some great floor spacers, as a Drumbo, GM and J-Smoove trio couldn't provide any spacing. Structural issues... |

Yeah last FA period was awful, but I'll give Dumars a pass after what he has done over the past decade. But if you look at it now, that FA was just to set up this one with all the money we can throw around now.
And Smith doesn't have to play SF the entire time. We could easily rotate into the 4th spot with Monroe/Drummond from time to time. And pick up another SF in the draft. That could work. But yeah all three on the court could easily cause spacing issues. Monroe and Drummond already struggle to play with each other as it is now.

The thing is as far as I can see there are many teams with cap space for next year, HOU, ATL, DET, CLE, NOH,UTA so FA's are going to be hard to get. It's going to be really interesting for sure. |

It was a good read, thanks. But I pretty much have already heard everything that was put in the article. My thinking is split into two directions. 1. Drop Calderon, Draft Burke, and look to fill the SF in free agency. 2. Re-sign Calderon, Draft a top SG/SF. Option 2 is probably the best one, and the one they will do, but it just going to kill me to see Burke on a team I don't want to root for.
