Congratulations! Rodas definitely looks like the overall winner now, I still think those two mountain stages won't split the favourites that much. |

And before other things come to mind again; those miniflags were really great the way you used them in the MTTreport, very well done SN |

This race is proving heaven for the new teams, great stuff that for Ferrari.
Recovery must be starting to come into play now in this one. Surely stage 9 is time to roll the dice for riders like Nazaret. This looks the toughest mountain stage left to me, surely Alarcon's ambition must be still to win his home tour too.

Yeah, very nice way to report that MTT SN and I hope that approach to it will be used too in the future!
The gap to Rodas seems to big but I can only hope that Castaño will beat Ratiy for third, though it seems fourth is more likely.

Disaster that for Carrara. Mattia Cattaneo is now 6 seconds above him on GC and both just inside the Top 20.
My hope for a decent finish now has to be Carrara or Cattaneo getting into a break that isn't chased and gaining big time. |

Hopefully my team isn't like Akers, and we pull everyone back.

Lost some valueable time in the team GC on the TT. Hopefully I can still keep it. But it will be hard.
Time to play the game!

What an unpredictable stage. I was seriously thinking that the pure climbers wouldn't be so affected by this TT. Things look very good now for CSC - Orbea. However I wouldn't open the champagne just quite yet. There's still much climbing to do, there's always the possibilities of falls and punctures.

Hilarious. Even the bike looks small in comparison

Still have the team GC, but just 15 seconds now. This is not good.
Happy to see that Sørensen takes the KoM jersey. Hopefully he will fight for it. Also, another third place is not bad.
And I'm not worried about Hoste abandoning the race. He was there for the TTT only.

I feel really sorry for Vespa actually. The pace seems to be quite slow and a biggroup finishes together but Carrara loses time from stage to stage. Unfortunately also Cattaneo, who makes a strong race here, lost time today.
Obviously Carrara is doing the Moncoutie and stays in the last position the whole race. |

I am guessing that the game has recognized him as a sprinter, and as he started this stage below Cattaneo, he 'decided' to take it easy on the climb.
And because the game thinks he's a sprinter, it probably won't try and get him in a break.....
It's a no-win situation. I should have thrown Gavazzi or Spiers into the race and not had the team behind one leader. |

This race continues to surprise. Looking at that breakaway I would have had Ochoa has nailed on to take the stage win. Yet he cannot make the final three cut. Hollister doing great in Oz but crap in Venezuala.
Slightly bittersweet for Emu Export, on one hand the stage win and a step closer to Team WWE on the team, on the other a stage where Nazaret continues to flounder at GC 10th.
A horrible race for Vespa, Carrara was one of my targets it looks like he has caught that nasty Bosisio disease from last year.

Hopefully Alarcon can hold on to his jerseys now, but it's very hard to tell. This tour has been quite unpredictable. Flat stages seems to be my best shot, so Haedo for stage 10, that's at least something to hope
And congratulations to CSC - Orbea and Mresuperstar, a race which no doubt has paid them very well. |

Unfortunate for Alarcon that the route isnt mountainous enough to encourage gaps. Stage 11 is better, but then there that flat/downhill section. But anymore stage wins for you, and youll be really regretting not taking a stage win sponsor goal!

Thank you, I kind of feel bad for taking Alarcon's home tour. But I can speak for everyone when saying nobody thought Rodas would make the top 5-10 let alone being in this position .

It seems Castaño will just have to follow Ratiy on stage 11, since the latter looks a bit sharper in the final phase of the race. With a bit of luck can Castaño perhaps overtake him for third, though Rodas is clearly out of reach now unless the biggest GC contenders make their moves on that first climb (stage 11).
Saldarriaga needs to work on his positioning, since he hasn't been anywhere close to Castaño for the last couple of stages while Murgoitio on the other hand at least is representing the team in the breakaways.
