So, tell us, why your bias? Brother, cousin, neighbour?
If Danny was given the same opportunities, he would probably be capable of the same. And I would say his biggest win was the Giro TTT.
We may be from the same city, but that doesn't change the facts.
I think this thread has been spammed enough though, and I'm sorry for contributing to it
No, please continue with your hilarious insanity.
Pate was given full reign to ride for himself at the Giro in both 2008 and 2009. He responded by cracking the top 90 of a road stage exactly once.

Since we are on the topic, Remmert Wielinga is also very talented.

Talking about talented riders.
Strange to see that no team has sign Mads Kaggestad yet. He is probably the most talented rider ever

Pate is no GC talented rider. He is though an awesome workhorse, able to work all the stage alone catching the breaks as shown in this year Tour's.
He will be excellent replacement for Micheal Barry. Both similar riders. This definitely is good signing, guy with experience and will help a team, maybe he will go unnoticed in almost all the races he will race, but its because him the team will have a chance to win the race.

Alright, but don't accuse me of spamming.
Even if Danny did get to ride for himself in those races, he would still have been doing exactly that. There were still other people leading the teams, and he had no one working for him. I'm saying that if he had the chance to have his team work for him, he could potentially top 10 in a GT. He has shown that he has the pedigree in the past, and even this year he has clearly demonstrated his overwhelming strength in his role as a helper.
And yes, he is good enough to get the results. It is unfortunate that he has never been able to show his ability as a leader, because the teams he has been on have always had established leaders when he got there. It just hasn't been in the cards, but we simply cannot say he isn't able since we really don't know what he is truly capable of.

As troll attempts go, that was a weak one. You could've come up with a decent excuse.
Then again, if the guy didn't even manage a top 90 in a stage more than once, it's hard to come up with any arguments.
You're entertaining us with how horrendously removed from reality your posts are, though

If you cant even get top 50 with no other obligations then there's no chance. Some people just can't ride for themselves.

I honestly think Gabriel Rasch can win TdF if he is allowed to ride for himself. He is so talented but haven't got the chance to show it yet. Must be the most talented guy leaving Garmin. |

Honestly the past 6 months or so, I thought Bushwackers was joking about all this Pate stuff
(I wish I had actual transfer news to post here)

Yep, that's "news"
Apologies if this has been posted, didn't find it: Movistar not content with having just one J.Herrada, so they signed his brother J.Herrada

That should be enough to bemuse cyclingnews and have them feeding us with some non sense as soon as one of them will appear in a ranking. |

He said please continue. But whatever, I'll stop because it seems that no one is taking anything I say seriously, despite any truth it may have. I provided you with legitimate reasons as to why he hasn't been able to get the results that his potential allows, but you just seem to dismiss it as trolling. Don't know what Danny ever did to you guys, but you can't deny that he is one of the best domestiques in the sport. Maybe we need to watch the Tour again to refresh our memories?

No one here is denying the fact that he is a fantastic domestique, but nothing he has done has shown that he can do top 10 in GT's or whatever you say he is capable of. You have no results to show to, and your reasons are just not good enough. It's good that you have faith in the guy, but he's no superman, which you obviously think he is |

Still makes no sense that after admitting to spamming, you then take offense when people say to continue. Now you seem to suggest you were being serious all along, it was dismissed as trolling because of the ridiculous nature of some of your claims.
Theres a big difference between saying he is a top domestique, to what you had been saying for most of your posts. And incidentally, TTTs are not counted as wins for the individual, certainly not when in the Garmin Giro win in question, Danny Pate finished 172nd out of 197 riders in terms of individual time.

Alright, I apologize. It seems like some people are getting kindof annoyed with me, so I shall stop. And I have never taken offense to any of this, because I thought we were having a peaceful discussion. I have a strong faith in Danny that apparently no one else does, and it seems that nobody else interprets his past results in the same way that I do
I'm sorry. Don't be frustrated at me.
And for the record, the TTT still counts as a win for Danny, 172nd or not, because he still contributed to the team's success, and they would most likely not have won it without him.

According to L'Equipe, riders of Garmin and Movistar are free to sign with other teams, because the two teams didn't meet the World Tour requirements in the 1st "round". |
