frankly i have no idea whats going on any more.
If someone else can clear it up that'd be great.
But more importantly!
Round 28 Part 1
Just a normal draft round. No restrictions. 24 hours. I will present the results differently, hopefully it should be nice.
Part 2... you're gonna love this
WT managers: Send me 2 riders. 1 rider must be from you're team. 1 rider must be from any other WT team.
CT managers: Send me 2 riders. 1 rider must be from you're team. 1 rider must be from any other CT team.
Basically its stealing riders (well done ollfardh)! The rider from you're team that you send me will not be able to be stolen. They are safe, but all other riders are then available to be stolen.
The other teams rider you send me is your request to steal. If they are not safe then you steal them to your team. But if the rider you send me is safe then you dont get any riders.
Custom riders are not included.
ill give an example:
Lunar Industries: Cavendish + Kittel
SGL Magix : Greipel + T. Martin
Fastweb: Nibali + Cavendish
Cavendish, Greipel and Nibali are all safe.
But Kittel and T. Martin are not safe, so Lunar and SGL gain them respectively.
Lunar and Fastweb gain 1 rider each, but SGL loses 1 rider.
Oh yes the order. This is obviously important. Unfortunately there is no way to do this that is mathematically fair to all, so its back to random.org to remove as much bias as is possible.
Each team gets a number from 1 to 28. Random order generated. That is the order etc.
I will not release the order until the results come out.
So this should be incredibly tactical for a lot of teams.

1 from another team you want to steal
You can only steal 1, but you could lose a lot more

Ok, a few questions:
1) What are we doing right now? Just send in the list for the first part of round 28 (the draft) or the list of riders for part 2 as well?
2) Isn't this going to mess up the number of riders? If I understand it correctly some teams can go up to 31, while a CT team can be down to 23
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

How do we know who's on what team? Are you going to do team profiles with riders and their stats? |

Edit: So you can only try and send one rider to steal? If it's not possible, you can't steal someone else and your round is over?
+ How are we going to do this with the nationality bonus?
btw I love this. I don't have more than 2 top riders anyway, so not many to lose...

Honestly this would mess up everything: i could loose lots of rider and then what can i do? Nothing. Plus there is national bonus: you could be out of it for the rider stolen. Here an example:
-Fastweb: Nibali, Ballan, Oss+ Cavendish
-Lunar: Cavendish, Farrar and other one+Ferrari
-SGL:...+Tony Martin
-Pervij:...+Visconti
And i've already lost 3 rider.
Anyway seems interesting and now being the last is the best thing, right? So you could take any possible rider (not safe naturally) and sure that noone will take him, right? |

New plan: Everyone try to steal a rider from Lunar Industries 
And yeah, with this it's possible that a PT team will end up with ~25 riders |

I beg for TMM that nationality bonus will be calculated based on our riders after round 28 part 1.
I for one have drafted a couple of not very good riders just to get the bonus so missing out on the bonus in the last round but keeping the "bad" rider(s) would really be double punishment...

I agree, because otherwise it just makes things totally unfair for some teams who have worked hard to put together a decent squad through the draft  It's nice to spice up the draft a bit (well sort of...) but not if it totally blows a team apart

I may input a limit on the number of riders a team can loose. But i kind of want to see how it plays out first.
Nationality bonus will of course be affected by this. I mean its not like you've had 22+ rounds to lock them in or anything.

The hard part here is that most people have at least 1 sprinter, 1 GT rider, 1 for classics and 1 for the hills. So when you can only protect 3 of these, you will lose one of your team leaders, destroying the planning you had.
I'm not entirely opposed to the idea of stealing riders, but it's gonna leave quite some people angry if they lose a key member.
Also, I will leave my idiot from Honduras tied up and sedated just outside our team headquarters. Our security guard will not be on duty tonight. Just sayin'.
