Great University. About 15-20% of my year went there in the end. Great quality teaching, great campus and the city is amazing.
Being 45minutes from home myself i can tell you it's not an issue. Both ways adds up to a time investment so it's not like parents will just pop up for an afternoon (parents depending) but is still close enough that any problems can be quickly solved.
One of my best mates went to Bath and again it' just a top level Uni. But my allegience is with Bristol and i am obligated to say don't go there.
Exter is also pretty cool and again i know a couple of people down there. They like it but the c9llomplaint is that Exeter is kind of far from anywhere else and isn't big so it can get a bit boring.
Talking about english universities:
Is FCE needed? I haven't got enough money as now to enroll a decent english University, but it always was one dreams |

A fifth of your year went to the same university?
Should calrify that my school was very small, and my year had about 120 people in it
Yeah, I'm a really big fan of York. In the best county in the UK ( ) and near enough to home as well as convenient for visiting family in the North East because the rail links are really good. The £125 a week rent is a bit of drawback but it's brand new, cost of living is pretty low and quite a few of my friends not going to uni live there already so it's no huge problem. Plus you do a year abroad in North America, Australia, Europe or Asia if you want for reduced fees while still graduating after 3 years.
Yorkshire is very nice. Rail connections are excellent. £125 per week is competitive for most places, depending on for what type of room that is, you should be getting at least en-suite for that considering you're not in London.
Year Abroad programms like that are available at most universities. You'll find that they are very selective, like 1-2 people per partner university at best selective. I applied to do that where i am but failed to get accepted. Did have a friend who spent the last year in Montreal and while they loved the expereince they say they would have prefered to stay here and have the continuity over their three-years of study.
Bath looks great, it's not cheap to live in compared to those in the North though which is a shame, and the point about Exeter is my main reservation with it. Bristol lost out to Newcastle in the end because of the lower entry requirements in Newcastle, but it seemed pretty good
The North is just really cheap. I spent a week near Doncaster back in June and i was amazed at how cheap everything was, it was awesome!
Bristol is ridiculous for entry requirements but my recommendation is to always have one uni that you think is a bit out of reach, it can provide a great extra boost of motivation. My teachers made everyone have a uni like that in their lists and most people got offers from them.
Ah i wish i could go back a few years to before i started Uni, when things were simple and fun. So much i would do differently. Not because it's not fun or anything but i am just a massively different person now to then.

I'm not quoting all of that on my phone, TMM
Our year has about the same number, but I can't imagine so many applying for let alone getting into the same one. Some of the accommodation is ensuite - the ones that aren't were only finished a few weeks ago and are £7 a week more if you want ensuite. As for the study abroad, we were told that there's little chance for North America but Asia and Australia tend to be easy enough to get on as well as Erasmus. As for having a uni to aim for, that's not really possible. I'm applying to 3x AAA, 1 AAB and a ABB. With predicted A*AA

So I take the largest number and I add 1 to it. What does that say about the number previously declared the largest number?
And regarding that Windows 8 discussion. I though you get the start menu if you press the windows button, not? Got to check with my dads computer.
For the numbers things, you tell me the largest number, and that is the largest number because you seem to think it is, so numbers are finite.
(unless you have finite sets of infinite numbers, but people who think about that too much blow that little light bulb in their brain...)
and for the windows 8 thing, I just pressed my windows button, so yes, it does open the start menu.

what do you guys think on somebody creating a general online gaming thread, so that if someone wants to online but keeps being kicked for not having a f*cking hat () people can arrange to play together there?
Spoiler stereotype premium Team Fortress 2 players is stereotypical
for games like FIFA and related, games that are played a lot between members here.

I have a few... well, Fourteen questions:
1.What Relevance does this have???
2. What does this even mean???
3. So you want to talk on an online forum because you don't have a hat?
4. Who would kick someone for not having a hat???
5. What...?
6.ummmmmmmmm....
7.ok....
8. I think I got it: You were playing that game and someone wanted you to have a hat so they kicked you, and you now want to play on an online forum,
9. Wait, no... that last one doesn't make any sense?
10.Why don't you just use pcmdaily...?
11. NTTHRASH once said "*Eats popcorn at an alarming rate.*" and right now that makes more sense to me. Is that a problem?
12. So why...?
13. I'm just confused?
14. Could you please explain this to me?

It's really not complicated AT ALL. He wants there to be a thread for people to organise online gameplay.
He was playing TF2, where players can where hats, and he got kicked from a game because he didn't have a hat and the guy hosting the game was a douchebag.
And how do you find "Eats popcorn at an alarming rate" confusing?

Ok, thanks for clearing that up, also the popcorn post came in the middle of the big Marsupilami and admirschleck debate and he was just like *Eats popcorn at an alarming rate*, when the big argument was going on which was sort of stupid and funny at the same time.
Just noticed the edit with the fifa bit, I'm in.

On number debate: Think about this. Human mind processing space is limited. Say you think of an arbitrary largest number. You can keep on adding one, and subsequently erase the space that you used to think of the previous number. On an infinite interval this has no bearing on the scope of human imagination.

I'll be happy to answer them, like a MARSUPILAMI style questionnaire.
1.What Relevance does this have???
None, that's what Pedro is for
2. What does this even mean???
this - the person, thing, or idea that is present or near in place, time, or thought or that has just been mentioned
3. So you want to talk on an online forum because you don't have a hat?
Indeed. Since I ate it.
4. Who would kick someone for not having a hat???
Me.
5. What...?
That.
6.ummmmmmmmm....
That's not a question.
7.ok....
Keep trying with the question mark. On an US keyboard you would need to move your finger one to the right, I believe you're smart enough to get it.
8. I think I got it: You were playing that game and someone wanted you to have a hat so they kicked you, and you now want to play on an online forum,
Cool, so why are there still six more??!?!?!
9. Wait, no... that last one doesn't make any sense?
Why do you enjoy contradicting yourself?
10.Why don't you just use pcmdaily...?
Because darkshift forums is better
11. NTTHRASH once said "*Eats popcorn at an alarming rate.*" and right now that makes more sense to me. Is that a problem?
Yes.
12. So why...?
Because.
13. I'm just confused?
Okay, good try with using the question mark. Remember a question must precede the question mark for it to be legitimate. I don't see this as asking anything.
14. Could you please explain this to me?
I could. But I already explained "this" earlier. So I am not going to, now.
