Yes. We should help kill those with potentially fatal illnesses as well.
And Some people scare little kids. Should we kill them too? Our human population is rising too? Should deer attack us?
And this is coming from the opposite of an animal lover.

They cant sue, because they technically used the logos without permission in the first place, I think.

I'm not an expert in the field of hunting, but doing so for the purpose of regulating the ecosystem is pretty common in several regions as far as I know and it's mostly done by professionals. Numerous predators have been eradicated or are extinct and hunt sometimes takes their place (quite ironic in case the former predators are extinct because of human hunt, but I'm not sure of that). I don't necessarily favour hunting, but it is a different thing than shooting elephants for tusks or similar things.

Yeah, I don't mind people hunting for eco-regulation. Maybe I got a little carried away after seeing a "documentary" during the midday news today, on television. They were showing guys shooting birds for the fun of it, the guys stated how much of a sweet pleasure and incredible bliss it was to have the Somme valley "almost all for themselves". Looks like we've got our rednecks as well. Though, the documentary, instead of being critical was rather empathising. What else can you expect from a conservative channel anyway... |

Yes, hunting is horrible. It's much better to put the animals into small, overcrowded pens with little to no abbility to live decent lives, overfeed them so they become morbidly obeese, herd them onto overcrowded lorries and then mass slaughter them to make delicious hamburgers. Out of sight, out of mind.
How hard can it be?

Out of sight, out of mind. Problem is that you cannot hunt enough meat for all the meat eaters, so the only solution is to stop eating meat. And it is so easy, just don't eat it. |

I know that. My point was that to consider hunting immoral while eating food made from industrial meat production is highly hypocritical.
As for vegetarianism, I've considered it, but decided against it because meat tastes better then silly vegtables. Also it's healty... in small amounts.
Meat production isn't going to go away either, so I think it's better to try to buy meat from free range animals.

Discussions are these are very complex and everyone has different views on them.
I don't wish to spit out my thoughts about them, however I will just say that, not disagreeing with anyone, people do need some amount of meat, for their health. But, of course, it is the means how we get it that counts.
Yet hunting as a hobby can be about meat (for a person or a family), it's not the way man get their meat. There couldn't be enough hunters in the world to supply 7 bilj people of meat. |

On another note: Alakagom's thread about faces and pictures is quite a success, nice work Alakagom, you gave me a source of laughter, the comments are just hilarious |
