So many left wings! Not that this test is reliable enough to yield an easy result...some of the personality related questions should have no bearing on the scale.
I am the only one not surprisingly as I have been the odd one out in many debates. I have been a much more peaceful person by not looking at this thread for a few months.

Wacko, you should be on the barricades right now!
Me personally, i have my own set of ideas, some of them coming from the left wing, some coming from the right wing.
This lef/right difference thing is wrong anyway and only an illusion, for example in Czech Republic, we hardly have some truly right party. Those that call themselves right wing also have socialist tendencies in their politics, because that is what majority of people want to hear...maybe best thing would be get rid of political parties com pletely, here they are just maintaining status quo since "Velvet revolution" and rather see it as the chance to get rich from public money.

And i cant take the test, because it enormously clashes at every question between my feelings and reason. I think almost everybody would like society, where is no poverty, famine and wars, or society that is not driven solely by corporations and economy. But reality is the other thing, because something is just unavoidable.
So i can say rather by words, that my heart is socialist and reason is conservative right wing.

I'm about a Gandhi, I guess most people are these days to be honest, except in America, where even the left wing is more right wing...
Just found it funny how right wing Ed Milliband is,
And that Mitt Romney is closer to Assad than he is to Obama...........
Go Francois Hollande! The only left wing western leader. |

Hey guess what, that test told me what my political alignments were
Also several of those questions were fucking ass dumb. The one that really got me was about "genuinely free markets". The answer is irrelevant as a "genuinely free market" has zero intervention by definition
Beyond that the 1-4 scaling, whilst i assume making it easy to calculate an answer, is woefully inadequate for some questions, especially those which lead for Yes/No or True/False answers.
The test also asks questions where your religious beliefs will impact, but gives no room to factoring that into an answer.
It's interesting to do, but has some major design flaws, and shows you nothing of interest. Also, when did Gandhi take the test? Oh thats right, you are guessing what his answers would have been. Don't show me information you made up, then try and pass it off as fact

So where do you think Gandhi would be?
I mean, with most the people it's a pretty fair assumption, less sure of the modern people but it's pretty easy to judge, especially in this day and age, I Mean, I completely called my family and friends without them ever having gone up to me and said, I am a liberal.
Also, am I the only one who accidently strongly agreed that astrology explains many things, I misread! |

No suprises there for me, though the test does have an awful lot of pretty stupid questions. What i really missed on some questions was the "unsure" button, because some just seamed impossible to answer. Also a question like is Abstract art without a meaning really art is a stupid question, because i think pretty much every painting has some sort of a meaning.

I think the question was trying to get at a scenario like a long time ago, where people just traded without intervention I guess.
Also, some of the questions I didn't have an opinion about, I would've liked it if it had a Neutral answer choice.

We have an argument with the Russians here in the Netherlands. Some might have read about it. A diplomat from Russia is suspected of assault, while his wife was rumoured to have hit 4 cars while being drunk (dutch sources https://www.nu.nl/...omaat.html and https://www.telegr...s__.html). Now the Dutch police have invaded their house. I was wondering if that is a violation of diplomatic immunity. I couldn't figure out, https://www.corpsd...ATIONS.pdf might help though, but to me it isn't clear.

A little addition: Article 29 and 38.1 are interesting.
In other news about this, former lawyer Moszkowicz has said diplomates would get inviolability because it was a general assumption they had the intelligence and decency to follow the law. Apparently, it's not the case here.

I read also that the Russian diplomat was molesting his children, and was drunk when the Dutch police tried to arrest him, so they had to beat him up so that he didn't resist any further.
From an issue with a given person it's turning into a diplomatic case...
As a reaction the Russian have suddenly "found out" that the Dutch health agency didn't check its milk well enough before exporting it to Russia.
Eventually the Dutch government had to apologize to the Russians, and the charges have been dropped.
Meanwhile in good ol' Russia, they'll be checking every communications from the Olympic site next year.
Also they're now about to vote a law preventing gay parents from raising their children.
They're also charging the Greenpeace guys with drug possession and some other things that look like they're made up.
How more despicable could that country become ? |

They have also threatened not to buy our tulips anymore as well! Oh, and a threat by Zhirinovski (populist) to break the windows of the Dutch embassy in Russia. How childish do you want it?!
edit: I also feel that the drugs on Arctic Sunrise might have to do with the diplomatic case, as the boat was under a Dutch flag.

If only they weren't sitting on countless quantities of oil and gas, nobody would give a damn about those idiots from the Russian government... |

Plus the fact that regardless of of their natural resources they still hold a lot of sway over some eastern bloc countries and the countries such as Iran who disagree with the US. Admittedly that is partly down to their resources but also as they can provide weapons and support to those countries that would be hard to source elsewhere. |

Sorry for interrupting, but am i the only one thats a little pissed off vy the EUs Immigration Politics? I mean, hundreds of people die as a boat full of north african immigrants sinks on it's way to italy. Then the EU says that we should show more solidarism, but not for the dead, but for the italians that need to keep them out all by themselves. It just seems innctredibly ignorant to me.

I dont like Russia much more than you do, but i dont see this as something strange from world powers? Remind me which country is the base for worldwide citizen spying NSA? Ahh, home of democrasy itself...
Btw. your country is also not much more better, with its immigration policies.

Again, USA does the same with their partners and even more funny, supporting the islamic terrorists since Cold War and still going, despite being in total war against terrorism. I suppose only against those who are not strategic to use for themselves?
But yeah, i dont like any of these tendencies. Russia is really ruling the Eastern Europe and part of Asia by power and USA are in fact ruling over Arabic penninsula and that super Israel army state.

This is hard case. Nobody wants people dead, but you should see the southern Italy (as i did last summer). Poverty and people without jobs everywhere, no wonder that few more hungry throats without knowledge of language and people who are hardly helping anything are seen as the burden.

Oh, I despise the NSA as well as any organization doing the same thing, whatever the country it's from.
Catching terrorists is one thing, but the more the revelations go, the more it's obvious that 1) it stores countless datas on people who have absolutely nothing to do with terrorists 2) it's more used for trade negotiations than to catch potential terrorists
My country ? OMG, there's like 3 million who're unemployed and 15 to 20 thousands romanies (and a total population of 65 to 67 millions). Guess what the politicians and newspapers focus is all about these days ? The romanies. *sigh*
Somebody probably thought it'd serve his/her political agenda. As a result the next European elections due next Spring are going to be a far-right (Front National) walkover. Consternating thought... |
