2.Never seen that happening tbh, it obviously depends on what you were training him on as well. If you trained him as a fighter that shouldnt have definitely happened f.e., however it is possible that training him as a puncher or a stage racer the training doesn't give the wanted effect on his growth.
Thanks for responses.
I have trained mostly as puncher, and one level as stage racer, but MO has gone up when training as barodeur and sprinter also, so I think there must be a strong influence from starting as a climber. |

I am clueless as to why that would go up training as sprinter because every time I did it with a MO higher than 74 or so it always went down instead to favor the new rider type. However you can look up and fix the different stat packs indicatively in dyn_training_exercise for each rider type.
Anyway what you say about starting as a climber is very true, the game doesn't change the rider type in dyn cyclist even after you completely change your specialisation. No idea how much is the effect but this basically shows it continues to have an influence even after the start of your career. However bear in mind that puncher, besides training mostly hill and acceleration etc, it also keeps an eye on the mountain stat, so yeah that, summed up to starting as a climber may have been it. Heck even fighter plays a role!

The best training to increase resistance is either Fighter or Stage Racer. All the others are on par, so yeah they give the same resistance boost.

I would like to ask, what are the difference between playing in normal and hard difficulty, in be a pro mode?

Nothing, just the stats of the AI riders. Hard has a value of f.e. 1,025 multiplied to each Stat of a rider, while normal is just the stats of the riders as they are. You can see those values in local.cdb.

Thanks for the reply.
So it simply means, that when playing in hard, the AI is gaining some stats. Not just you.

You aren't gaining any stats, no rider of your team or your procyclist. Only the CPU controlled riders are.

Well that's weird. I guess I should play in normal then.

Love the be a pro mode. Great potential :-)
I just raced my first WorldTour race Pais Vasco... Surprisingly won the young riders competition, oh and the points... Turns out, I've also won the GC
My climber is 78 mo, 77 hi, 80 acc, 67 sta, 69 rec, 63 tt, 61 fl
I originally planned for him to be a helper for the GC guy in the mountains... But in my second year as a pro I'm too strong to go for breakaways, so I can't usually compete in mountain jerseys and I tend to end up in the top 10 quite often.
I play on normal, it's a bit too easy for me, but hard in be a pro is way harder, I barely can keep up and without team support I'm unable to correct errors.
I'll continue this carrer until I won the TDF, which should probably happen within 2-3 years, next year I want to go for the giro and vuelta, let's see how that goes...
Once that is done I'll probably do a puncher and see how far I get with him.
Without editing stats at first, and then maybe readjusting some things a bit...
Good times. |

Not sure if you actually want this, but you can easily edit difficulties with the pcm career explorer or by opening the local.cdb in the excel editor

Nor did anyone else sadly. They are not in local or in the db or in any xml sadly, so yeah my guess is that they are hardcoded somewhere.

Ok thx for the answer.
I'm asking that because I'm trying to add a new type of rider and the new type of rider can be selected in this mod. However, it seems possible to generate Young Rider with this new type of rider in career mod. For this, we have to add a "chance" to find this type of rider in the different region. But i guess its impossible to add a colunm in STA_region table !?
(Maybe out of this thread theme but its binded with my precedent question ) |

No, it's not possible to add a column to any table of the db. The db would get corrupted and the game wouldn't recognize it anyway.

You always 'gain' fatigue when you get into shape. You also lose fatigue when you get out of shape as well, so balance is the key.
Just remember that the longer you`re 'in shape', the more fatigue accumulates. So you need to keep an eye on when you want to reach top fitness and how long you want to keep that form. Keep it up too long and you waste your entire season away by becoming too tired to get yourself in form for the rest of the season. |
