Michael Carbel, danish sprinter, will get a 2-year contract with Team Cult Energy Vital according to sources. Highest likely to happen. Great signing by Team Cult if it happens.
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

Is there any chance that Lefevere would renew contract with Poels? Because it woud be kinda ridiculous, if he let him go.

Boswell is confirmed to Sky for the next year, if I am right.

I heard that Poels got a very wealthy offer frm Sky, don't think Lefevere is going to outbid them for a mountain domestique/free role rider, this is not a main OPQS focus terrain.

I know about that Sky interest, but well, after his last pre-season statements, that he doesn't give a sh*t about being 16th or so in GT -> signing Uran and some good domestiques, I thought it would have different outcome than letting Poels to the other teams and bringing in Bouet and De la Cruz. But I still have some hope.

I agree than he is caring more about GC than before, but still he is not willing to outbid Sky here. As we know Sky has some an exceptionally big budget, so most likely he would only be willing to spend that much on a rider crucial to Cav or cobbles team.

Is it just me, or teams are nowdays focusing more and more to just one or two disciplines, without trying to be good on all fields? I miss all-around teams...
Belkin was a nice example this season, but with Bos going and no sprinter signing for them, they're sligthly turning into a climbing/cobbles team.

That is a general trend in the pro peloton anyway, we don't see GC riders in Roubaix anymore (Wiggins does not count as he is in noway a GC guy). Cycling has become more specialised and the teams are heading that way aswell. With squads looking to be reduced in size I can only see this happening more and more

BMC, Belkin, OPQS, Katusha and for parts also Garmin, FDJ and Trek were pretty all around I think. |

Iirc Belkin has only signed two riders (Lindeman and Teunissen) and six riders are leaving (Mollema, Boom, Bos, Clement, Hivert and Nordhaug). Will they have enough riders for next season? Don't know who they could sign anymore.

Maybe OPQS but no, the rest are not all-round

BMC: Van Garderen, Sanchez, Gilbert, Van Avermaet with some weaker sprinters.
Belkin: Kelderman, Gesink, Hofland, Bos, Ten Dam, Mollema, Vanmarcke
Katusha: Rodriguez, Moreno, Kristoff, Paolini, Caruso, Spilak
Garmin: Martin, Hesjedal, Talansky, Farrar, Nuyens, Vansummeren
FDJ: Bouhanni, Demare, Pinot, Vichot
Trek: Cancellara, Schleck, Nizzolo, Arredondo, Kiserlovski, Zubeldia, Jungels
Not saying that they have podium material in any terrain. But they have decent guys for all kind of races and just because some of them had a weaker season, this does not mean, they did not focus on those.
You obviously can`t have the no. 1-3 in all terrains within one team. But this would need a 20mio budget I guess.
