Latvian Deal Collapses
A while ago we announced a deal with the Latvian Cycling Federation. We should contract a Latvian talent and organise a race in Latvia. (You can find that message here: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....ost_925622) Now the Latvian Cycling Federation has decided to cancel the contract. They apparently found a better team for their talent, so Lauris Ozolins won't join our team at the end of the season. There were some more disagreements but unfortunately we can't make them public. Fact is that the Latvian Cycling Federation didn't follow the contract agreements so the contract has been cancelled. We hope to finish this chapter as soon as possible so we can focus on racing.

sutty68: That exactly happened, unfortunately. And Ozolins seems to be a very big talent, so it's a shame we can't help him developing into a great cyclist. Well, fortunately we have many other talented cyclists.

Transfers
The season has ended and as every year cyclists switch from team. We say goodbye to the Dutch cyclist Julian Heckel. It seems like he'll sign a contract somewhere else soon but we don't know at which team. At least here's a list with all the transfers and some big cyclists switched teams. It'd be useful to take a look at this list, otherwise it's more difficult to follow next season's races.

Sponsor Extends Contract
We are very pleased to announce that both of our sponsors, Hot Wheels and Porsche, have extended their contracts! Although we still had a contract till the end of 2015, they've both signed a new contract till the end of 2018. The new contract also means some more money for next season! Unfortunately we can't tell you the exact amounts, but the sponsorship has raised with more than 10%. This means that we can grow even more next season. We're very happy about the new contract and we can now focus completely on the racing. It's also great to see the sponsors have trust in our project.

2014 Season Review – Hot Wheels – Porsche – Cyclists
Our cyclists gave ourselves goals at the beginning of the season. Now we can see whether they’ve reached them or not, and we’ll also see how much they really improved compared to the start.
Jeffery Aguilar
My goals were improve my climb skill and take a victory.
It’s been a tough year in which I’ve learned a lot. After I won the overall classification in the Tour of Britain last year I thought that’d be quite easy, but now I know it’s not. The start of the season didn’t went very well. Coming to the end of the season I became better and better, which resulted in a stage and the overall victory in the Rheinland-Pfalz Rundfahrt. I’m very happy about that. I also feel that I’ve improved a lot this year. Hopefully next season will be even better than this one.
Will Burton
My goals were improve my time-trial and my climb skill.
Another difficult season for me, just like my first season. Although I was very close at winning the prologue at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, where I became second with less than a second difference. It was hard to believe. But I’m still happy to be here. My progression isn’t going as fast as others, but I’m confident with it. I hope I can help the other cyclists next season to take some big victories after we’ve had a great season.
Edward Byrne
My goals were improve my time-trial skill and take a top-10 place in a time-trial.
Unfortunately I have to say that I didn’t really achieve my goals, just like last season. There’s so much competition in time-trials so it’s very difficult to perform there. Nevertheless I hope I’ll be useful in the other stages. This season wasn’t my best season, but last season wasn’t very good as well. I hope to make a step next season.
Jonathan Chapman
My goals this season were improve my cobble and my flat skill.
Although I didn’t ride any results this season I can say that I’m happy with the progression I’ve made. I really see myself improving which gives a lot of confidence. We’ll see what will happen next season.
Yann Coutant
My goals were improve my cobble and my flat skill.
Another tough season for me, as I didn’t ride many races. I hoped I could improve with a lot of training. I did, but unfortunately not as much as I wanted.
Luis Freire
My goals were improve my hill skill and finish the season without having an injury during it.
I can happily say that I didn’t get any injuries during the season. I even rode some nice results, with a second place in the general classification from the Settimana Coppi e Bartali. I don’t only see that I’ve improved, but I also perform much better than last season. I’m very happy with that. I hope to take my first victory next season.
Pablo Garcia Sánchez
My goals were improve my sprint and my acceleration skill.
My season was great with an unexpected overall victory at the Tour de Picardie. Unfortunately I didn’t make the progress I wanted as a cyclist. It’s important to perform on a constant level, which isn’t possible because I was very lucky with my victory. I really have to become better.
Sven Hahn
My goals this season were improve my sprint and my acceleration skill.
I didn’t really achieve my goals and I’m not very happy about that. Of course you improve every year as a cyclist, but I didn’t improve as much as I wanted.
Julian Heckel
My goals were improve my sprint and my acceleration skill.
Although I’ve improved a lot this season it wasn’t enough to receive a new contract at this team. I’m happy I rode here two years. It’s been an awesome time, but now I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my cycling career in which I hopefully can improve much more.
Tom Massot
My goals this season were improve my sprint and my acceleration skill.
I can say that I’ve improved this season, but not as much as I wanted. Still I can be happy about that because every step you take is another one.
José Remuzgo
My goals this season were improve my climb skill and take a victory.
It’s been an awesome season. I’m very happy about it. I both took a victory, even more than one, and improved my climb skill. I’ve also shown that I can ride classifications in races. I finished in the top-10 in the Volta a Portugal and took a stage. This season was just great and I’m really looking forward to next season.
Alexandre Rodrigues
My goals were improve my hill skill and take a victory.
I’m very happy to say that I achieved both goals and that I even took more victories than I expected. Winning the Skoda-Tour de Luxembourg for the second time in a row is awesome, just like the Portuguese championship. I hope I can show our national jersey many more times next season.
Tom Rodriguez
My goals were improve my climb and my time-trial skill.
I really improved a lot last season and I’m happy about that. Next season I hope I can ride some results which wasn’t possible this season. But I’m very happy about my first year at this team.
Vincent Rogers
My goals were improve my climb and my time-trial skill and take a top-10 place in a general classification.
I rode some good classifications last season and I finished twice in the top-10, so I achieved that goal. I did improve a bit, but not as much as I wanted. Next season I’ll change my training program to gain more effect from it. I hope that’ll work and that I can go for my first victory next season.
Igor Sobczyk
My goals were improve my prologue and my flat skill.
The season wasn’t very special to me. I didn’t get the chance to race a lot, which I’m not very happy about. Otherwise I could’ve improved much more than I did now.
Cheng Siu To
My goals were improve my time-trial skill and take one of the Hong Kong national champion jerseys for another year.
I can happily say that I won both Hong Kong national championships so I’ll wear the jersey of my country 24/7 next season as well. The competition in Europe is much higher than in my own country. I’d like to win another race than the national championships of Hong Kong, but that’s very difficult. And I may be happy that I win races at all. Many cyclists don’t even win.
Ian Watson
My goals this season were improve my sprint skill and win a mass sprint.
I completed one of my goals quite early in the season, as I won the Criterium Hainleite in a mass sprint. That was a great victory for me, just like the overall classification in the Volta ao Algarve. I almost took a stage in Qatar, which is quite a big race for us. Next season I hope to be even more important for my team.
