I hope so, too. I've got to go in half an hour, I'll try again when I get back. |

Photobucket is still down, unfortunately. Will check again this evening, but I'm not sure if I can race it this evening. |

Ronde Van Vlaanderen
The only cobbled classic race I haven't been able to win, let's try to change that today!
BMC made the race hard, again.
But the second time on the Kwaremont, I was taken by surprise and the price to pay was hard: Boonen and Cancellara went for a ride!
The race was over for me, as the two took 3 minutes in no time.
Would I wait for the sprint for the third place? No, I couldn't.. I was one of the big three now, I can't be the one waiting in a group for a sprint, I have to earn my glory so I went looking for it, against all odds!
Pretty soon, Cancellara left Boonen behind and started a monster solo.
And my kamikaze attack started paying off, I saw a dot on the horizon, Boonen! 10km to the finish, I had him in my sights.
I caught him! Best thing I could do was wait in his wheel and sprint for the second place. But I couldn't do that, either! I attacked out of his wheel, he didn't have the energy left to follow.
This must've been a mental blow to Boonen
Spartacus took a brilliant win!
I end up 2nd!
What can I say? I took my chances and rode like a man today, I'm proud of this achievement. I've never been closer to the win in the Ronde. I hope to move up one more place next year!

Nothing could be done against Spartacus
This time I don't mind being 2nd, rather 2nd this way than waiting for the sprint and come in 3rd |

wow Radioshack Nissan Trek sucked
but Jan Bakelants beating Alberto Contador, Fränk Schleck, Vanendert and Rolland is nuts even De Gendt beating all of them
Great job man

Paris - Roubaix
Well, this is it, the first highlight of my season.
Cancellara is riding a strong season and seems unstoppable, while Boonen will want revenge for the Ronde. But because of my performance of last year, they should fear me!
Cancellara, Boonen and I stayed near each other for the entire race.
To be honest, it was a fairly boring race. Every favorite took his turn and did a small attack until we had a small group left.
Four of us (what, four, no three?) rode into the Velodrome:
Cancellara
Boonen
Vanmarcke
myself.
I pick Boonen's wheel and I get a déjà -vu from last year...
Massive déjà -vu! What a sprint, what a day!
Well,
Cancellara may be Spartacus,
Boonen may be Tommeke,
but they better watch out for me from now on:
The Devil of The North!

First part of my season is over, and I have to say it is another successful early season for me! Now it's up to the Giro, since I'm floating at the moment, I'm going to blab out that I'm going for the points jersey!
Thanks for still being with us! |

Fantastic win! Second (iirc) win for Stijn in Hell of the North, maybe he's going to beat De Vlaeminck's record soon! |

@Miguel98: Thanks, I already thought of it last season but I wanted to have at least 2 wins here to call him that
@FreitasPCM: Beating that record is Stijn's biggest dream, I think Although he'd love to win the Ronde at least once in his career, too! |

@alex valceanu: Thanks, though Spartacus has had his share of bad luck in his career
@ste_18: Thanks, Let's hope he becomes legendary
@TheManxMissile: Well, it was in all the papers, the nickname... and okay, enough with the 85, he's not 85.
@JuanMotr: Thanks a lot!!
@baseballlover312: Okay, sorry you don't find this pleasurable anymore. |
