Sky must be looking to win all 3 GT's next year. Bah. So many riders I'd love to see riding for another team. |

What's up with all the PCM-style transfers this year? Why the hell would Kiryienka go to Sky? He is super aggressive in the mountains and Sky are super not.
They're not when they're the favourites or have the favourite G.C. rider(s) in their team, but what if they needed to be going for stages instead, be it on lesser races ? I think they might be useful in that case.
Also, Froomechkin is less of a tempo climber than Wiggokourov, so, in case they'd have him as their leader the coming seasons, having more explosive riders as helpers wouldn't be necessarily that bad. |

Sad for Cav. I don't know what team would be perfect for him. All of them are full of climbers or sprinters.
OPQS ?
He would be No.1 sprinter. He would also get the lead-out 'ala' HTC.
Adding to the fact many HTC staff went to OPQS, it would be perfect link up again.
There are Ciolek and Chicchi plus Boonen. 3 sprinters and the only lead-out rider is steegmans.
So what ? Cav is clearly faster than all 3 of them. Chicchi and Ciolek could be good lead-outs for Cav.
Add to this engines like Grabsch or Martin and you got yourself a very nice train.
Yeah, it would be a nice train. The problem is that i don't think that Ciolek and Chicchi will accept to be just lead-outs. |

Ciolek was alreay a lead-out for Cav. Chicchi I don't know, but Ciolek was alreay a lead-out for Cavendish, we'll see because that double made a lot of damage at Columbia. |

Well, Ciolek isn't really a top sprinter, so I think he'd be much more useful as a leadout for Cavendish. He'll never be a GT bunch sprint stage winner anyway.

Compared to the freedom he has at big races with Movistar or would have with most teams it is a waste of his talent. Sky will have GC riders at most world tour races next year so he will be shackled as a helper. Which is a shame because he is one of the most interesting riders out there consistently. And I don't think that Froome being explosive will make a lot of difference to the domestiques roles.

Ciolek was a great prospective in 2007/08. Since then he never improved his sprint skills and maximum podiumed in GT`s.
Therefore he improved his climbing skills quite a lot and you can never underestimate him on hard finished, where he could be on one level with Degenkolb imo.
Problem is that his positioning is worse than anybody`s else and even if he has a good wheel he destroys all chances by going 200m too early.
So if he just sprints like he is always doing, he would be an awesome leadout as the guy behind him his advanced a lot. |

How dare you slander Ciolek?

Just because you hate german people doesn't mean you can slander my Gerald

Look at my avatar.
I am a really big Ciolek fan. But true, he even had a GT win in 2009.
And you mustn`t forget that he is still "young" with 25.
So can expect him to ride another 10 years I guess and maybe even see him top10 in the Amstel one day.
Just like Degenkolb I think he can do well there when having top form.

You're not the only one
But yeah, his "oh let's start the sprint from 450 metres out" attitude is annoying as hell...

When Martens can Top10 all Ardennes classics, he could have a good go at AGR surely.

I rather see Degenkolb podium-ing MSR and RVV next year, he can get more out of them than focusing on the Ardennes.

A good result at Amstel is definitely something I think he's capable of. He just didn't turn out to be the kind of sprinter that he was predicted to be.

I'm not so sure. When he was at Columbia in 2008, Stapleton said he could be the next Bettini. An exaggeration, but you get the point.
Personally I think his climbing hasn't improved, it's stayed the same, but maybe I'm wrong.

Arkaitz Duran will join Movistar next year according to biciciclismo.
He rode in 2007 for Geox.

He was a big hope some years ago, as his youth results were incredible. He turned pro at age 19 with Saunier back in 2005 and rode with them until the team ended (as Geox) in late 2011, but never really did much
He spent 2012 completely dominating the spanish amateur races, so I guess this is his 2nd and likely final chance
He's still only 26. Probably one of the many cases of a talent ruined by rushing him into the pros

So yet another 2nd tier climber for Movistar. If you look at their roster, that's exactly what they need.
In other news, Euskaltel is rumored to have made an offer to Breschel. Yes, you heard it right, and I'm not talking about my PCM career.

That'd be unrealistic even in PCM!
Imagine if he'd win Paris-Roubaix riding for them. It would break all the world's rules of logic.
