Unless they are injured its really bad from Del Bosque not to bring Llorente and Navas... then they would have had a plan b... |

No one on Spain seems to know how to make a run or make a decisive pass. They just keep passing it around the box. They could really use younger versions of Torres and Villa right now. I think it was a mistake for them to not bring a tall targetman like Llorente though. They could just cross all day to him and eventually one would have to go in, opposed to what they are doing now...

European defending world champions don't seem to be able to survive the group phase when playing on a foreign continent. Germany 94 was the last one to make it to the kick-offs.
EDIT: Or the group phase in general it seems.

Love for Chile, and Bravo in particular, as he is on my World Cup team

Chile!!! 1 of the 3 votes in the current poll was mine
They played really well, and can go far if they don't catch a team with tall and physically strong players (like germany for example). |

Brilliant game by Chile. I hope that somehow they can avoid facing Brazil in the next round since they've had the luck of meeting them in the last 2 times they reach the last 16

I think Spain will take a bit of time to recover from that mauling, they were outplayed tactically and Spain never seemed to take the game seriously. People expected them to go out and attack Chile with some gusto but instead were pretty flat and were easily punished.
Well Del Bosque was always going to leave after the world cup but it will be interesting how Spain build up from this in the coming years...

horrible match by the dutch but i thought we would have a much more difficult time against them.. pure counterteam we are with only hope of Robben/V Persie. And if Sneijder plays this bad again I hope he gets subbed. For crying out loud. Janmaat and De Vrij also terrible.
Referee was terrible though, every decision aussie-based. Even when robben was clearly pushed, sure, FK aussie.. moronic idiot..
Penalty was correct btw.. |

Not surprised. If Silva had Spain 2 - 0 Holland would not have made that come back. Holland is average, unless Robben and RVP do magic all tournament they won't go far.
Robben is amazing though. duh, even all normal dutch people know that
like i said, it's eredivisie + robben/rvp. Just get the ball there and hope for miracles. The rest is eredivisielevel. Just like ajax struggles with zwolle (1-5 cup final). Holland can struggle with every team
And just like Ajax can beat Barcelona (2-1) holland can surprise every major side
They are like the eredivisie, youthful, with a bit of brilliance, but also with a lot of average performances and sometimes incredibly bad.
They'd need a miracle to get further than QF. |

Cameroon goalkeeper: Here, take this ball and put it in. I will jump aside when you shoot.
That reminds me, that the Cameroon team striked for higher wages. I think Croatia paid more than their football association...
