Well, he was clearly better than others in doping use and hiding that. That makes him the champ of dopers, right?
I wonder if he'll ever tell the whole truth. Maybe on his death bed? So maybe we have to wait some 45 years. |

I must admit this ashole has balls, u must have the bigest balls ever to keep laying like that. If he loves cycling like he claims to do why dont take all that rats and the whole UCI down talling the whole truth. I can only wish this guy the worst. |

He never was honest, and he still is not honest.
I always knew he was doing tricks, it was imposible to improve so much after his illness. |

I found it conspicuous that he avoided all questions that might have legal consequences for others, and only admitted to offences that are now statue-barred. I would say he was quite right in saying his credibility isn't very high at the moment. |

Well, we got the confession at least. :\
And some details about how it happened. Wise man still though, Lance has a way with the media that is quite skillfull. He got the tougher questions (not toughest, but I admit Oprah did a good job actually), but managed to dodge them.
I actually enjoyed watching it, just hearing an admission of sorts is a bit like closure. I'll watch part 2 as well.

(Didn't read the other posts, so I may say things that have already been said)
At first I thought I'd get angry at Amstrong, but I got angry on Oprah instead There were so many times where it got interesting, such as when he said he didn't dope in 2009/2010 (of course, within 3 years so he may have broken the law). I still don't believe him at all, because he denies everything that may cause legal action to be taken against him. If he's really that honest, why doesn't he just do a liar detector test?

Lie detector tests aren't accepted in courtrooms for a very good reason - they are not a good measure of whether a person is telling the truth or not.

Exactly as I expected but still came as a bit of a disappointment. Didn't think much of Oprah. Maybe tomorrow will be better but I don't hold out much hope. |

Exactly, so if the detector says he lies, he can't get sued based on that - win/win situation for him.

This interview has been good, but there's something that I can't stop thinking, he says that the comeback was totally clean. This one we will never know the true answer. BTW there are people on youtube saying that he only confessed because he might've been "threatened". There are people that are beyond crazy. Really.

He'll confess about doping on his comeback in 5 years on Dr. Phil, don't worry about it. |

Yes we do. It's in the USADA report. He doped.

Interview was kinda expected really. A lot are complaining he didn't give up names, which to some extent I think is ok given that it's a talkshow. If he comes straight with USADA regarding details and names I'll be happy. A talkshow might not be the ideal place to reveal that.
If he was doped in 09 and 10 I don't know, but I'll buy that he wasn't. After all, he's admitted to a decade of doping. What would he hope to gain from denying doping those 2 years? It just wouldn't make any sense at all to lie about that when having just admitted to everything else. |

Is it just me or have people actually voted "no" after the interview or have I just not been paying attention?
