I have found a way to play Pokemon X without officially owning (=fully paying for) a 3DS or the game itself!
Shoot me or call me crazy, but I'm quite happy about that

I don't think you get what I mean with that wording, but that was to be expected
The 3DS will be shared with my nephew (basically Pokemon is the only game I'd need it for) and he'll get it after I played through, so I only pay a small amount.
And I get Pokemon X from a hardcore fan that ordered both X and Y but wants to start with Y first, so she offered me to play X for free until then.
