Happy to see Komisarek winning in Omloop, his investment might be paying off. Decent performance in other races but actually was hoping for something just a little bit better, lol.
Oh boy... |

Was hoping for some stronger results by Zabel in the opening Tachira stages, but it looks like he's too weak on the hills for WT level. Still, 3rd place in the flat stage 2 is something to begin with - and none of the important guys lost some stupid time so far
On the other hand, really happy with our Clasica Iberica performance; Huamán (6th) in the Top 10 is where I want to see him as often as possible this year, but Gonzalez up there (7th) as well is definitely a positive surprise!
Paris-Nice already underways as well, what a pace!
And a pretty nice start; 6th, 5th, 3rd in the first three stages, plus Gonzalez wearing the U25 shirt - good job!
Fortunately Mendes was on the right side of that split on S3, but a bit unfortunate that all others bar Gonzalez were not attentive... well, let them join some breakaways then

Renault riders have recovered from their Christmas overindulgence and turned in some decent performances topped by Juris Eisaks winning Clasica Tirreno-Adriatica.

Yes Cav!!! Another strong victory! We are looking good in Paris Nice. Mollema is up there in the GC so hopefully he can hold onto a strong GC position!

Great stuff from Yates in Strade and Roma!!
Bit disappointing from Vanmarcke in Omloop. Hope its just a one off. Nice to see Degenkolb is still competitive for his new team.

Meh, Fatancur taking over from Polanc, but we're ready to strike back in the Mountains!

Very different feelings in Tachira and P-N.
Both Zabel and Chamorro are doing a great job so far in Venezuela; too bad that Zabel always missed out on the points lead by 1-2 points. Second place on S4 is yet another podium finish for him, clearly our strongest rider in that category so far. However, he should obviously have easily beaten Navarro, to get a stage win and the points lead... On the other hand, P6 on S6 was nice, definitely didn't expect him to keep up with the pack in this stage.
Chamorro adds another 6th place on S5 to our Top10 stage results list; he should've beaten Serry to take 5th, but clearly can't expect to beat the others. Good job so far, let's hope he doesn't drop out again with a stupid S10 crash ^^
Clearly a different picture in P-N. No clue why Cav can take those wins and Gonzalez can't keep up on the hills, pretty disappointing.
Even more disappointing though that we seem to have completely missed the action on S6. At one point, two of our riders were leading the pack, instead of having joined the attack, so they clearly didn't do their job well, underlined by the fact that Sepulveda was our highest finisher. Either Mendes was really, really far back in the pack, or he's sick, or... ask PCM ^^ Clearly we won't get an acceptable GC result for the 2nd time in a row in a CT.1 race, which really starts to get annoying. Well, better days will come - hopefully ^^

Very good racing by Tao so far. Nearly perfect on stage 5, except for following Ludvigsson instead of Betancur in the final attack. Easier said than done, maybe.

Such a shame this great Appo race is being ruined by how annoyed I am he's managed to become our GC leader over Peiffer. Good old PCM...

How the hell did Lambert and Geniez finish behind Paillot and Sutterlin on a mountain finish. Even dev team leader Penot beat them

I can't understand what happened to Engeldinger in stage 5 in Tachiria...he was quite at the front and then he arrived behind our domestique. Not perfect in timing also in stage 6...

Cav went on a bit of a winning streak That was good to see. Too bad Mollema couldn't outsprint Tejay but hopefully he can continue the form and gain time on Tejay in the following stages.
Really good Paris Nice for us so far

Not the best stages of Chamorro in Tachira, but at least he's still sitting in 6th - rather comfortably now. And if he can distance Tao again on stage 9, maybe we could even leave with a Top 5 - or with nothing at all, if he crashes like last year ^^
The rest of the team (barring Zabel) is annoyingly inactive, though - given some names further up the rankings, our best dom could definitely be higher ranked than 35th... But let's not complain while Chamorro keeps his Top 10 spot
In P-N, Sepulveda did a great job on the last two stages. No clue how he won stage 7 - apparently he wasn't part of the BotD - but we'll definitely take it. He did well to take 7th on the last day, too, moving up to 15th in the GC.
On the other hand, 12th overall by Mendes isn't what we were hoping for, and I still don't get why he lost almost 5mins on S6. Well, at least we got some minor points from France, let's move on...

Missed out by 1 second damn. Mollema very nearly finished off the perfect Paris Nice but second overall and many stage wins is definitely something I’ll take. Good race for us! Lots of points coming our way from Paris nice for sure!
