Great reporting so far jandal!
I like our start of this Tour. Some decent KoM and stage points in the first couple of stages and then Kangerts gradual rise in GC. We're on course to get some people into the GC top 30 and also do well in the Teams ranking. Let's keep this up.
Do hope to join more breakaways, especially in the mountains.

Great ride from Nibali, all the way up to 5th overall. Not going to last, but a Top 10 overall is very feasible now. Would have been a perfect day if Omar Fraile could have stayed with the breakaway riders a little while longer.

Well, at least Grosu didn't miss out on a stage win because of a miss timed chase. That's good, I think.

Michael Olsson!!!! Our first winner ever when he won the Tour de Bretagne back in 2013 (?) and now our first ever stage winner in the Tour de France. What a legend! Great way to turn around a poor Tour de France, now we have to leave satisfied after that huge performance. Absolutely love that guy!
Thanks for an super exciting report, Jandal, I was close to screaming across the entire press room in E3 at the enda there. A shame he isn't racing here, otherwise he would be in for the greatest of high fives.

Aw, I only wish I knew this when writing the report Congrats, amazing story.
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

While 6th by Dumoulin is a very nice result on a flat stage without a sprinter, it`s a bit unfortunate, seeing he might have been strongest and did attack first but then lost out due to it.
Congrats to Grieg for being the smarter one in the break and finish it off from the 2nd position fooling the sprinters this way. |

Very cool to see Olsson win from the break after such a nail biting duel with the peloton sprinters. And the story behind it makes it even better. Congrats tastasol!

Tired of asking for breakaways
Now for the TT and a chance for Haig to gain some time on less strong TT riders.

No Newton! You were 5kms away from competing for a historic TDF victory that would have probably broke the internet, but no. You give up.
The roller coaster of the Newtons continue.

We dominate every hill/mo stage so far just to let weaker riders or the inhuman Estonian win. Only to crush him in his speciality. Rumour has it that Spilak saved the energy on the climbers day for this

Surprise, surprise!
That must have been quite a hill As a rather neural follower of the fight for the overall win, I must say I enjoy this much more than a crushing Taaramäe win. Congratulations on the stage win, Croatia!
Also thank you for the report, jandal! Just a pity our rear wheel didn't help Vangstad nor Paillot to challenge for a stage podium |

A pity that none of our TT riders got a lucky special day for a Top-5 result or so.
Haig with a solid performance though and it's good to see him in the Top-10 for now. Not sure if it's a good thing regarding breakaway attempts though! We're way too indivisible for my liking.

Decent, but not great...
Atleast we are up to 5th by now, but Sicard will be very hard to beat, and Gesink probably impossible.
Nice to see Vasyliv in 3rd on the U25 too. While we lack stageresults, we atleast get a little bit here and there from GC results.
