I was expecting Heale to last a bit longer than just 1 more game, hopefully Forster can find Diamond a position he can get some good form going in.

Match Day #21 at Potters Bar (4-12-6) The big debut for Jake Forster-Caskey.
Spoiler 2nd Minute: GOAL! Canvey Island's Ryan Charles
8th Minute: GOAL! Canvey Island's George Sykes
22nd Minute: GOAL! Canvey Island's Ryan Charlies
57th Minute: GOAL! Canvey Island's Charley Barker
58th Minute: Marcus Diamond subbed on at right wing.
62nd Minute: GOAL! Canvey Island's Marcus Diamond
"I honestly don't even know what to say. Everyone in the stadium thought newcomer Jake Forster-Caskey was going to have a crack at the net on the free kick, but instead he passed it off to me and I just hit it. It was incredible... A moment I will remember for the rest of my life."
Canvey Island 5, Potters Bar 0
Summary: That's how you break out of a slump. A season-high five goals in a thumping of Potters Bar. It's the biggest win in the league this season. The addition of Jake Forster-Caskey will get all the attention and headlines, but it was truly a team effort.
Rating: 8.1 - My first professional goal! Best rating ever. And yet my performance was a little overshadowed by Ryan Charles scoring his first two professional goals. We all know mine was better.
Player of Game: Ryan Charles, Canvey Island FC (9.5)
Celebration Time!: A milestone of this magnitude deserves something special. Marcus Diamond has developed the "Tries First Time Shots" player trait. He is also too busy celebrating to accept any more cycling stat upgrades.

After starting off December with a bang by scoring my first professional goal with Canvey Island FC, I was looking to get back on the pitch right away.
New coach Nicky Forster had other ideas. I have sat on the bench for our last four games just waiting for my number to be called. It never happened.
Match Day #22: 2-1 win over Romford (5-8-8)
Match Day #23: 5-2 win over Aveley (11-7-4)
Match Day #24: 5-3 win over Walham Abbey (4-12-7)
Match Day #25: 2-1 loss to Maldon & Tiptree (15-3-6)
I wanted to be out there, but the team didn't need me either. Out of nowhere, 24-year-old winger Ryan Charles and 19-year-old winger Charley Barker have stepped in and shined in proving offensive support for George Sykes.
Charles has 5 goals in the last 5 games. Barker has popped up with 3 goals. I mean, I'm happy for them. But, I can't get any better sitting on the bench.
Talent wise, I'm pretty close to these guys. At least that's what I think.
League Standings (25 out of 46 games played)
Over halfway through the season and the goal of getting promotion is starting to look like a long shot. But, crazier things have happened.
Playing Time: Marcus Diamond hasn't been able to break into the starting XI recently. What should he do?
(Option 1) Find a New Position: Perhaps this involves going back to defense or maybe the request angers Nicky Forster since he just put Marcus at right winger. Is it worth the risk to get more playing time?
(Option 2) Train Harder: Perhaps Marcus should prove his worth in training. Charles and Barker have locked onto the winger roles, but why can't Marcus overtake them? Going all out in practice is also risky — Choosing this option would mean two out of his 36 stats would be randomly set to a 10.0 rating. Marcus would also go into every January game with a below-par 83% fitness.
Cycling Season: January has arrived. Marcus Diamond and JLT Condor are still working out a schedule for the upcoming season, but Marcus already knows he won't be racing in this first month. The goal is to schedule most of his races between April and August. He is already locked into many of the local races and now gets a choice on how to fill out the rest of the schedule:
(Option 1) Stay close to home: More races in Europe to prevent fatigue and be closer to family. Familiarity breeds confidence.
(Option 2) See the world: More races in different continents to experience new things. Marcus gets more exposure, but will he have the stamina to keep up with all that travel?

Option 1, try being a CM if possible, you've started to develop some nice playmaking stats and the Potters Bar game shows that the manager is using a 3 CM formation, so there should be plenty of opportunities there to come off the bench even if you can't force a start and I would be surprised if there is enough depth there for a 3 CM formation considering the previous manager didn't play one and Forster hasn't had a transfer window yet to bring any new players in.
Option 1, Stick to Europe, staying closer to home would probably suit at this point, especially as he has a 2 year contract so he could use the confidence of being not too far from friends and family and he won't need the exposure from racing further afield until his contract year in the second season anyway.

I didn't know how new head coach Nicky Forster would react. He has had a lot on his plate and has turned around this team in just a few weeks. Would he really risk that to give me an opportunity to play? There was only one way to find out.
"Coach, can we talk?"
"Sure Marcus, what's on your mind?"
"I hate to be that guy, but what do I have to do to get on the pitch. I want to play coach. You seemingly don't need me at right winger. Can I play somewhere else?"
Forster paused and looked down at his clipboard.
"I normally don't take player requests Marcus... But, with the recent injuries and bruises in training the last few days to midfielders Frankie Merrified, Sam Collins and George Craddock. Giving you a crack in the midfield wouldn't hurt."
"Thanks coach, you won't regret it."
... And sure enough, coach was true to his word. I was in the starting XI for our next game against 6th place Cheshunt (12-5-9).
Don't Disappoint: If Marcus Diamond comes out with a 7.5 rating or better, whichever member gets closest to predicting the final score in this game will get their training ground points doubled in the next session.

The 2018 cycling season is underway! I've sat down with manager John Herety and etched out a rough draft for my schedule this year. Herety likes to hyper plan in three month chunks with a vision for the rest of season could look like.
We have planned to give me about 40 race days here in Europe. I'll start off slow with only five days from January to March and things will ramp up when football season is over. Trying to avoid overlaps wasn't too hard as most football games are on Saturday with races on Sunday. However, sometimes it's unavoidable and compromises will have to be made.
Race Calendar: January through March
I've spent this first month trying to get to know my teammates. Many find it impressive that I'm trying to play two professional sports at the same time. The lads have accepted me and I'm having a blast so far. Some of the guys have even come out to support me at a couple Canvey Island FC matches this month.
I think I'm going to fit in well here. I'm glad I waited for them to come around and finally offer me a contract. While I would have liked more money, it's a start.

- Stats work on a decimal system starting at 55.0.
- Stats are bumped up in PCM when they hit that number, ex. 55.9 = 55 in-game, and 61.4 = 61 stat in-game.
- The decimal numbers will remain hidden.
- There is a threshold for each stat when more points are needed to increase that stat. It's start off on a 1-to-1 scale where 1 point equals 1 stat upgrade. However, the scales get exponentially further and further apart the closer that stat gets to the maximum of 85. The increasing scale will also remain a mystery.
