Very risky move going to ToA without any solid rider that could perform there without a lot of luck, but as you say, if those 21RD's were meant to be close to 0-pointers in other races, it's better to try your luck in a GT with HC points.
Also, can't deny i like that Lutsenko is riding so many RD's away from my riders thanks to PTHC bands

@Aquarius: Yep, that's the idea!
Lutsenko & Zmorka's schedules revealed
Start | Goal | Race | Category | 8/2 | Win | Tour de Pologne | HC | 15/2 | | Paris-Nice | PT | 25/2 | | Etoile de Besseges | C1 | 20/3 | | Strade Bianche | PTHC | 13/4 | | Tour of Ukraine | HC | 30/4 | | Amstel Gold Race | PT | 12/5 | | Scandinavia Open Road Race | PTHC | 26/7 | Top 5 | Tour of Beijing | HC | 7/8 | | Clasica San Sebastian | HC | 29/9 | | Milano-Torino | C1 | 4/9 | Top 5 | Balkans International | PTHC | 18/10 | Top 5 | Japan Cup | HC |
Two ways of planning Lutsenko were considered, 1) Pais Vasco, 2) Ukraine+Milano-Torino. Due to not getting a PT wildcard however, I had to stuff up my PTHC races with level 4 riders, so it would've been impossible to send a strong (TTT) support team to Pais Vasco. Therefore, I went for the latter option.
Start | Goal | Race | Category | 3/2 | | Copenhagen-Malmö TTT | PT | 7/3 | | Vuelta al Pais Vasco | PTHC | 24/3 | | Tour of Southland | C1 | 13/4 | | Tour of Ukraine | HC | 2/5 | | Tour of Romandie | C1 | 23/5 | | Olympia's Tour | C1 | 10/6 | | Post-Danmark Rundt | HC | 30/6 | | Monterrey TTT | C1 | 5/7 | | Celtic Chrono | PT | 11/7 | | Bayern Rundfahrt | C1 | 29/7 | | Chrono Des Herbiers | PT | 11/8 | | Volta a Portugal | PTHC | 13/10 | | Tour of Tasmania | PT |
Many options were considered for Zmorka, in the end I just went for the most time trials. The Tour of Southland, Celtic Chrono and Olympia's Tour should hopefully be the highlights in what's going to become a very RNG-based TT season for sure. |

Lucas Manuel Gaday just won his heat in the International Hill Climb Championsip. And in the fastest heat, too. A sign of what's to come?

In order to avoid burning out, I decided not to write monthly previews this season. Instead, I'll do some articles which will either be a preview or a review from time to time.
Disappointing season start in Poland despite stage win
Reddit's star rider Alexey Lutsenko couldn't meet the high expectations in the Tour of Poland, only finishing in fourth place.
Poor tactics in the first real mountain stage gave him a significant deficit to his opponents, proving to be unbridgable in the remaining stages.
Lutsenko did, however, win stage 5 in an extremely strong fashion by attacking before a minor bunch sprint. This gave him enough points to still make his appearance worthwhile.
Despite this setback, Reddit does have a swift chance of redeeming themselves in the Etoile des Besseges, a lucrative C1 stage race in France, which should earn its winner a lot of points due to its low amount of stages. Competition for Lutsenko will be even harder, however, so all eyes will be on him to see if he performs this time. |

Reddit's leaders start performing as team ranking is still covered in mist
Lutsenko attacking to second in the Strade Bianche, arguably his best performance this season so far
User-managed cycling team Team Reddit is performing about as expected so far this season. How well this performance compares to their rivals, however, remains unclear.
The most notable results are second places by Lutsenko and Zmorka in the Strade Bianche and Tour of Southland, respectively. Gaday's and Manfredi's decent results on the cobbles and mountains earned the team some valuable depth points as well.
Unfortunately, due to the final stage of Besseges being delayed, a race in which Lutsenko is able to score a lot of points, it's hard to have a grasp on knowing whether Reddit is on track to meet their season goal and avoid relegation. Therefore, Reddit will keep on racing the stress-free way they were supposed to until more clarity is given. Its first chance is the Tour of Ukraine, the only race in which both Lutsenko and Zmorka are racing. Despite both of them clearly not being top favourites for the GC, Reddit is hoping that their participation will be a worthwhile gamble due to the low amount of race days invested into this 3-day stage race.
After Ukraine, the leaders will take a bit of a rest and watch our co-leaders race in Cyprus and some one-day classics. Zmorka will return in Romandie, while Lutsenko won't return before the 12th of May, in order to race the Scandinavian Open Road Race. Given his amazing performance in Italy, Reddit is certainly looking forward to continue this performance in what could be one of the most lucrative races of the season. |

You score, you score, everyone scores!
Cameron Meyer about to win the first stage of the Tour of Cyprus
Some weird things have been going on in the man-game universe lately. Lots of managers have noticed some weird time warps, in which some races are being ridden before others. Team Reddit certainly won’t complain though, as the races we did race went brilliantly!
First of all, we headed to Cyprus for the first edition of its unique tour. The race started off brilliantly with Cameron Meyer winning the first stage in front of two amateur riders. The wackyness continued with Oscar Riesebeek being the best hybrid of the bunch, giving the most consistant performances over the cobbles, mountains and hills. Even though he was close to performing even better, 6th place in the GC is something we will remember for a long time.
Then it was Lucas Manuel Gaday’s chance to impress at the Chrono d’Arenberg. And the youngster certainly did out of nowhere.. Despite being almost the worst time trailer of the cobbled peloton, he landed us an amazing 4th place . We hope the doping controls didn’t notice anything suspicious here…
And then it was finally Lutsenko’s chance to shine again, in the Scandinavia Open Road Race, a 3-day PTHC stage race. With his insane performance in the Strade Bianche, in which he became second, a lot of expectations were made by the team’s manager, despite him facing stronger opponents this time. He managed a very respectable 4th place behind a trio of favourites, including a second place in the final stage. If this is the type of performance he keeps doing all season, he may actually have been worth his massive paycheck. His focus now will be on the PCT races again, in which he hasn’t really impressed so far, so we’ll have to wait and see.
There’s still more to come though, as Olympia’s Tour is being planned soon, unless the MG universe will do some crazy stuff again. Olympia’s Tour features two time trials and a TTT, the first TTT in which we will appear at full strength. Generali and Yorkshore have stronger TTT teams, but we have the strongest time trialer in Zmorka. Therefore it’ll be a very hit-or-miss race, and with the current streak, we hope to 1-up our efforts and score some more delicious points away from our rivals!
Sadly, with still no rankings to put these performances into perspective, there’s no way to tell how much these achievements actually meant. Due to the mediocre first months, we’d say that the points scored will still give us headaches during the final months, in which we will have to fear relegation. Without any way to know this for sure though, we can only hope for our riders to continue their care-free racing.
Except you, Lutsenko. You need to win lots, of course. |

Sources: Reddit to potentially ban crowdfunded cycling team due to new policy
Team Reddit on their way to win the Monterrey TTT
Pro-continental team Team Reddit may be in for a crisis at their headquarters, as their mother company is looking to disallow the team in fear of losing their reputation.
Lately, Reddit has shut down many of their famous so-called subreddits, such as /r/watchpeopledie, in order to keep advertisers as well as investors interesting in cooperating with their brand. Allowing a crowdfunded cycling team they have no control over may therefore be a risk to their long-term strategy, as they have proven time and time again to want as much control as possible over their own content.
The news comes as the cycling team is on a wave of success. And many of those successes are thanks to the amazing work of their secondary leader, Marlen Zmorka and his time trial domestiques. Their first achievement lately was probably the most expected one, as Zmorka took home the Olympia's Tour trophy thanks to two amazing TT performances and his domestiques helping him to keep the losses on the TTT as low as possible. More surprising was his second place finish in the Tour of Denmark. This remarkable feat was achieved thanks to his teammates, who decided not to attempt to become the leader themselves but instead helped Zmorka to remain in the main peloton on its hilly stage. And lastly, the team shockingly won the Monterrey TTT, even though they were ranked very poorly on the bookies' charts. It must have something to do with their morale!
The results should mark them safe for avoiding relegation, as many other teams around their rank have been struggling lately. But their potential successes may not be over yet. Zmorka is currently preparing for the Celtic Chrono and Bayern Rundfahrt in August. Meanwhile the team's superstar, Alexey Lutsenko, has been preparing for the Tour of Beijing, which should start in about two weeks' time.
Therefore, their potential disbandment may come as a shock to most, as the cycling team has done nothing but putting Reddit on a good daylight. It is unknown if Reddit's manager Vien will now be interested in searching for sponsorships, or wishes to start a crowdfunding action in a different way. Reddit, as well as team manager Vien, refused to issue a statement on this matter for the time being.

Vien: "Team Reddit or no team at all"
Crowdfunded cycling Team Reddit's manager Vien has posted a statement about his potential upcoming legal issues on /r/TeamReddit.
The cycling team may not be allowed to continue under its name, as Reddit is not able to have any supervision on the team. Recent policy changes show that Reddit's owners do wish to have this control, and ban out subreddits that don't want to confide with the rules.
"We built this team as a community and it will always stay Reddit's team. Therefore, I have no interest in seeking for another name, as it will lose its significance. It's Team Reddit or no team at all"
Vien might be overestimating himself there. Reddit is a multibillion company. A cycling team with a 2,5 million budget may not even be noticable on the bigger scale.
Reddit is yet to publish a statement on this matter. Multiple attempts to reach them did not end in a response.

Reddit: Sports Teams Decision Extended After Investor Interference
Lutsenko crossing the line for his first stage victory of the Tour of Beijing
Team Reddit's future is still unclear. Despite rumours of Reddit being on the verge of banning their "uncontrollable" user-run cycling project, this reliable news source has found out a decision may be on hold because of Reddit's recent investor, Chinese government-owned Tencent.
Tencent showed no interest in cycling despite their $150 million investment already being made earlier this year. Its sudden statement may be the cause of Alexey Lutsenko's recent performances. The Kazakh millionaire smashed the competition in the Tour of Beijing, winning two hill-rated stages and finishing with both the race win and the points jersey. Lutsenko also kept up with his astonashing performances in PTHC, ending third with a stage win at the Balkans International. These reports reportedly grabbed the attemption of Tencent, who sees a business opportunity with the currently crowdfunded cycling team.
Apart from these results, the months have mostly been quiet. Reddit is safely mid-table and out of relegation worries. Promotion also seems impossible, leaving only Reddit's decision on a ban to question their appearance in the Pro Continental Tour next season.
Still, there are a lot more opportunities to create positive publicity. The Tour of America, Reddit's home race, is still to be ridden, as well as some opportunities for Lutsenko to drive up his already enormous wage at Besseges, San Sebastian, Milano-Torino and Japan.
Reddit's manager Vien still refuses to comment on this matter, being only willing to talk about the sporting part of the team. "Let's just have some fun for now and see how many wins we can still pick up"

No agreement with company; crowdfunded cycling team project ends
Faycal Hamza on the podium of the prologue of the Tour of America, the start of an excellent run for the team
The cycling team funded by users of internet forum Reddit has been shut down by its main company, Reddit Inc..
Reddit has already announced to ban all of these projects, citing the lack of control possible over them causing possible damage to their reputation in case of any abnormalities occuring. Despite of this, its users hoped for an exception in this case due to the great reputation and successes the team has enjoyed over the entire world in the last months.
Team Reddit ended up as tenth on the PCT ladder in their second season, surprising many teams including themselves who expected them to end up in the relagation battle. The main cause is an excellent run near the end of the season. Reddit beat the odds with an agressive Tour of America showing with two stage wins and a KoM jersey, taking revenge for last season's flop. Meanwhile the team's star Alexey Lutsenko continued his victory streak all up the the Clasica San Sebastian, only disappointing in the final race of the season falling outside of the top 5 in the Japan Cup.
Reddit manager Vien issued a statement on /r/TeamReddit: "Being the manager of this cycling team was a time of many ups and very little downs. A privilege all possible thanks to the help of so many of you. From Kip's stage win in Tachira last year to Meyer's first stage race win for us and the great run in the most recent Tour of America: Reddit has certainly won the hearts of many cycling fans and will hopefully become an inspiration for many other crowdfunded, fan-run sports teams in the future. We hope the next teams will treat our riders well, I know they're just a bunch of cyclists in a fantasy universe, but to me they became something special!"
The riders have already been told they will become free agents at the end of the season, and thus will have to find their luck elsewhere.
Spoiler After months of rapidly declining health and hospital visits I've reached the point where I can't sit up anymore or even keep my eyes open after the morning.
I still have no diagnosis, but it's very likely a muscular disease which is quite treatable. But even then, I fear committing to something which I find stressful, when I know I need to use my energy for something much more important.
I'm very sorry to have to drop out so soon again, although I hope my activity, behaviour and contributions made it worth it for you all this time. I tried to delay my decision for as long as possible (which is why I set up this storyline) but I really feel like I can't hold up the MG any longer. I'll still be around on Skype at least!
Bye for now,
~Vien
