I'd say his injury has a lot to do with it. Plus he hasn't been talking himself up.

Also, Gary Imlach's just suggested Astana's leaving of the MPCC over the Boom scandel could mean having their UCI licence revoked(again). Do you think this could happen?

don't see why, the MPCC and UCI are unrelated and Lotto-NL also left the MPCC for the same reason but still has their licence
