That' just a bad performance from Tenorio after he showed promise in the hilly stage. He didn't even get mentioned once in both mountain races, that's how anonymous his performance was.
Seems like in the last few versions of PCM, you can trust less and less on stats. Which is kinda a problem, considering numbers is all we have to indicate a riders strength.

Take the 65acc into account for Tenorio. Then you have a reason with numbers. I had hoped to see him performing like a 84 climber, but his acc disadvantage is definitely given. |

Elissonde isn't doing great, but Sisira in the top 20 makes up for that. Now hopefully Vanderbiest can win the final stage. |

Nerz in the Top 10 is great! I wish it would've happened after an exciting queen stage, but sadly this was far from that.
Heider is a stronger climber than Iino and Destribois, so I'm rather disappointed with his result, especially as he has 70 downhill and shouldn't be dropped easily. He must've had a -5 day at the worst possible time, but well at least he tried.
Herklotz ahead of Duarte in the GC is fun stuff too, and good to know Arndt is alive again, he looked like the spiritual successor to Vogt for most of this race.
Now I hope Demare conserved more energy than some of the other sprinters so he can go for a Top 5 in the last stage.

A really poor performance from 1t4i here. I was hoping both Brambilla and Henao were top 20 material, with the last one even capable of doing a top 10. I was wrong.

Thanks for the reports, quality stuff as always!
Not amused by those breakaways, but even then Oz had a pretty great race overall. Stage-wise, we didn't really score big time like others did.. But Pozzovivo really went for a huge result! 4th is above our biggest expactations, obviously. Morton adding a somewhat decent 17th, though I had hoped for him to take the U25 competition. Dombrowski though makes sense.
My Italians deliver. Should have got rid off Goss and take Cicero instead
Gratz on a dominating win, ember!

Finally some great fortune there, to win the Queen stage, and then nearly take the win on the next stage with Zaini, but I wont complain with 2nd, as the report says Too bad Shikai couldn't do much in the GC, but the stage win makes up for it.

Just catching up on some ProTour results... holy shit what an amazing result for Chamorro!
Great to see that he has adjusted to the pace of the ProTour peloton so quickly and has already been of great service to his loanee team

Glad this race is over to be honest. Not one to remember for us! Howson though with a positive performance in the prologue, but other than that we were quite bad.
Congrats to ember for a surprising win and thanks for the reports!

Good race to follow - a shame successful breaks so prevalent, but the hitters came out to play when required. Martin still a surprise victor to me though, was he even featured in the betting odds? - indicates was an outsider, but he certainly raced well - congrats to Ember.
Following the Colombian riders progress, excellent to see Chamorro take a stage, but the likes of Duarte and Henao very anonymous, with Suaza also not showing face too much, so pretty poor in the overall. No show from Duarte in particular must be a real concern for Venchi - at least MvS is hoovering up lots of points elsewhere!

Yes a breakaway once again, already we are seeing a lot of breaks take out the latter stages in stage races... will be interesting who gets lucky with those points!
Three real lucky stage results have papered over a pretty piss poor performance from Jose Alarcon. 13th was really disappointing from him.
Massive shock that Dan Martin took it out - Spilak once again not quite cutting the mustard.

A race to quickly forget for us. We were completely anonymous. Even though Tenorio's ACC isn't that great, he should have performed better considering his good hilly stage. But he wasn't even mentioned in the mountain stages (as the 3rd best climber in the race).
The reports were nice though, i'm really enjoying these shorter/quicker reports!

Just magnificent!
This is obviously an amazing result for Martin and the team, and it makes it really easy to forget the bad first three races we had. This is just brilliant! I thought he would have to let it go when the gap started to open up with 11-12 kilometers left on the Queen stage, but reading he came back, it felt like it wasn't going to slip. And taking the sprint for 5th as well after another comeback later, was another surprise and helped secure the points jersey as a bonus as well.
We simply got way more than I hoped for in this race, I'm thrilled
Thanks for all the congratulations, and thanks Gustavovskiy for the reports. |

Wow, a Metinvest sprint train.
Shame that Guardini was only able to take 9th after that, again stupid break holding on, what do you say about flat stages and breaks now SotD?
Seriously i am pissed that breaks are winning left and right and there is no Metinvest rider in it at any point. Which is crazy, given the fact that we have nobody in top75 of GC and team is full of attacking riders. Why they are even in the race ffs??
Thanks for the great reports Gustavovskiy and thanks for posting some of these Roturn!

Superb riding again by Jakub Kratochvila in 6th stage, 3rd in a stage and securing the KoM jersey from this race, really nice surprise. 14th place overall is way better than what I have hoped for from this race too. Unexpectedly saved my race here as Howard continues to really struggle in this season.

Overall a decent first WT stage race for us. Only sucks to loose Sella for no apparent reason. But Poorseyedi and Kolahdouz made up for it with their steady break appearances and even a mountains jersey for some stages. |

Gustav, I can assure you that Sicard will get a pat on the back for finishing in the top 3 of a stage race Nice riding by him except for that one stage. More of that, and the team may actually have a shot at survival.
Enjoyable race all in all.

Enjoyable race all in all. As I am saying. You should have trained Sicard instead of Schreurs |
