Fantastic! Huge opportunity with Bewley somehow messing up, and taken in style.
Sprint trains do seem a bit unpredictable. Sprint stat of lead sprinter is a key factor, but form of the day must surely play a part - with Lo Cicero suddenly having a train having not even sprinted previously. Proves that the sprinters involved can vary from stage to stage.

Sorry for complaining aka Avin, but this is utter shit.
Even more surprising when majority of top 10 in both first two stages were 75+ riders in flat stat and those who are lower were not even contesting the sprint. Bos with 55 flat should not be even able to finish in pack...
you are talking about Bos, nothing is impossible for the best rider in ManGame
This final stage left the race even more interesting, I still think that Bewley will win but is now more difficult because Swift has been very consistent

We messed up our leadout at the end...Cicero really had too long off a distance to make up at the end to Swift.. But oh well at least he sprinterd again after two day fiasco.

I've given up on Aberasturi, as there is no chance that a 79 sprinter will ever get chosen to join in the sprint.
It's a real shame though to see top sprinters like Lo Cicero, Bewley & Kennaugh not participating in every sprint though. Hell, guys like Napolitano and Holloway aren't even sprinting at all.
Enjoyable reports though, thanks Rider!

Maksimov up to 24th... yea, I guess.
All I can really hope for now is getting into a successful breakaway.

Yeah, that is a pity. I was in same scenario last PT season with 78,78,77 sprinters in my team.
The few times though they were taking part and even getting a podium 1-2 times, it was really nice.
With the sprinters slowly getting higher and higher, a stat of 82-83 is almost needed for most races to be really a stage winner. |

I agree... It is very worrying that the flat stat seems to do absolutely nothing in terms of keeping guys from the front. Normally a high pace would tear up guys with such a stat, but looking through the resultlist, no riders have been dropped thus far in 3 stages.

Well I am enjoying the variety in the sprinting - a little surprised but encouraged that we are not getting any breakaway wins. I guess this is the one place where there is a ridiculous amount of power in the chase.
I wonder really with Bewley's mob if they were a little burned from that day and previous days chasing. Him being out of position is probably the fault of the pilot fish.
Swift and Bewley set to continue battle should be a fun one to watch. Some nice stuff behind these two as well .

Get in breakaways, people.
Also, shame on me to realize only now that Yves Lampaert has been welcomed to the team in the proper 1t4i way.

Not necessarily. Everyone in my team seems to have a special skill for crashing.

Very good from Vanderbiest so far. Looking good for a top 5, and a podium isn't out of the question from here. Plus these performances bode well for his chances later in the season in weaker fields. |

Yay, great result for Zabel!
Quickstep back to the WTF days, I guess, and Vanderbiest that high up the GC has to be satisfying for Ayubowan.
